《From Max to Zero to God》Chapter 77 - Avenging Spirit? Who cares? Die!

Bai Ye Qing, Rong Yi and Gang Tie scoured the forest for treasures and monsters, training themselves as much as they could in the Tiger Mountain realm.
“Hah, I wonder how brother Han Ling is doing…”
Rong Yi couldn’t help it, “Young Master Ye Qing, who is that young man?”
Bai Ye Qing grinned widely, telling the pair of his meeting with the powerful brother. At the end of the tale, Gang Tie snorted, “How can it be possible for him to be so strong? He doesn’t look any older than us.”
Bai Ye Qing didn’t refute that, “That’s what I thought as well, but I personally saw him defeat Great Elder Feng Qu.”
Gang Tie stayed silent, still not believing a person their age could do something like that.
“Well, anyway I doubt anything bad will happen to brother Han Ling, let’s continue finding treasures.”
And the trio made their way to the mountain.
Unbeknownst to them, on the other side of the mountain was a great storm.
>>>
Han Ling panted hard, gripping his shoulder when the eagle bit, blood pooling around him.
In front of him was the corpse of the Eagle, sliced terrible, blood and feathers scattered all over the ground.
“Hooo, he’s definitely a strong one…”
Even if Han Ling used his wings, the fight would be difficult.
[All-Seeing Void]
Creature: Thundering Screech Eagle
Cultivation Level: 1st Rank Immortal Supreme Beast
Technique: Thunder pulse, Impregnable feathers, Screech.
Han Ling took a deep breath, qi pulsing to his wounds, closing up to the best of his ability. He walked up to the corpse, surprised to find glowing items in it. “I guess this is how you obtain treasures.” Han Ling pulled those items out, inspecting them carefully.
Item: Thunder Pulse Technique
Rank: Spirit
Cultivation level required: Immortal Supreme.
Description: A surge of lightning qi powerful enough to demolish a mountain.
Item: Thunder Soul Core.
Rank: 3
Description: A Thunder Soul Core of the third rank, when absorbed, capable of ascending one’s cultivation.
Weapon: Lightning Feather
Rank: Spirit
Cultivation Level Required: Immortal Spirit
Description: The largest feather of the Thundering Screech Eagle, hard as diamond, sharp as steel. Has a unique resonance with the Lightning Element, giving all Electric attacks a large boost in efficiency.
Han Ling whistled in satisfaction, they were wonderful items, perfect for his lightning element. He first absorbed the Thunder Soul core, his elemental zenith on lightning increasing from 35% to 38%, but his cultivation rank was still stayed at 2nd rank Immortal Supreme, the number of points required was extremely high…

“A Spirit ranked weapon and technique, not bad at all.” The way items and weapons are ranked as such: Mortal is weakest, normally created by normal humans without any resonance with qi. Earth is next, weapons with some resonance with qi, which is already a feat on it’s own. The next rank is Spirit, weapons with a strong resonance with qi, rare but easily found in chances of fate.
Han Ling inspected the Lightning Feather, the weight of the feather extremely light, the handle smooth and cold, the blade looking exactly like a feather, except the edges were razor sharp. He flipped it in his hand before pushing his qi into the weapon.
The feather glowed a bright purple, when slicing through the air, arcs of lightning burst out the blade, scorching the ground easily. “This is pretty good, the resonance with Lightning is comparable to Obsidian Light, thought the damage would be much weaker.”
Han Ling picked up the technique scroll, examining the scroll with All-Seeing Void.
“Hmm, I can just learn it like that?”
Sure enough.
[You have learned Thunder Pulse]
[Technique: Thunder Pulse – 0%.]
“Hmm, so it works like my elemental zenith, I have to increase proficiency for it to be stronger.”
Han Ling meditated for a bit, healing his wounds up slowly, then using the winds to propel up towards the mountain.
“When I defeated the eagle a message showed up…”
[You have defeated the Thundering Screech Eagle, the guardian of the Tiger Temple. You have earned the right to enter the Tiger Temple]
“Tiger Temple? Sounds fun.”
>>>
On the side of the mountain, a gust of cold wind exploded from the trees, coming with it a bellow of flame.
“Damn it!”
Bai Ye Qing’s fist was bloody, his body charred slightly as the flames curtained around him, Rong Yi and Gang Tie. “You dare attack the disciples of the White Tiger Sect?” Gang Tie roared, his fists turning into pure metal, raised in a defensive poise.
Around the trio was dozens of black-cloaked cultivators, all ranging from Spirit Novices to Spirit masters of all ranks. Even a Immortal Spirit stood at the front of the group, eyes cold behind the mask.
The man released his aura, the pressure pushing the trio to the ground in an instant. “Hmph, you think the White Tiger Sect is all that amazing? The White Tiger is merely a kitten in the face of the Northern Avenging Sect.”

“Northern Avenging Sect? What did we do to you?” Bai Ye Qing groaned under the immense pressure. “Ask yourself when you die!” A great ethereal blade slashed down on him.
CLANG!
The ethereal blade shattered into a hundred pieces. The man staggered back, eyes filled with shock through his mask. “Who?!”
“Oh and here I was wondering if I was going to find you, Ye Qing.”
The young man widened his eyes, lurching up, “Brother Han Ling?”
Sure enough, Han Ling landed softly on the ground, a gentle smile on his face. “Good to see you still in one piece.” Han Ling walked up to the trio, completely ignoring the surrounding black cloaked men.
“Halt!” One of them stepped forward, brandishing a spear. Han Ling had no intention of stopping and the man’s spear flicked towards Han Ling’s chest. But to his surprise, his spear was stopped by a single finger on the tip of the spear. Han Ling sighed, before diverting his lightning qi into the tip, exploding the spear in a single surge.
“W-what?” The man held the broken spear with eyes quaking. The Immortal Spirit cultivation stared at Han Ling with slight fear. “Who are you? What’s your relationship with the White Tiger Sect.”
Han Ling glanced at the man, sighing yet again, “I owe them a favour, so I can’t let you kill their only son, right?” At that moment, Han Ling released his aura, an Immortal Supreme strength that only the elders of sects can have.
“I-Immortal Supreme?!”
“There’s someone stronger than our young master?”
The Immortal Spirit cultivator widened his eyes in shock “Impossible! There’s someone stronger than me? The Avenging Spirit Kung!” Han Ling caught that name and his expression darkened.
“Avenging Spirit? Ahhh, I understand now.”
In a streak of light, Han Ling appeared in front of the man, gripping his neck and lifting him into the air. “Guh! Gahhh!” the man could do nothing as he clawed at the hand around his neck, slowly crushing his wind pipe.
The other cloaked men rushed to help their leader, but a low growl stopped them in their tracks. A purple tiger stepped forward, growling at the group of enemies.
“Now, tell me, What does the Avenging Sage want with the Talisman?” The man named Kung widened his eyes, “H-How do you know of the talisman?” Han Ling growled, his hand tightening around the man’s windpipe. “You didn’t answer my question…”
“Gah! I don’t know! I have been ordered to take the talisman by force!” Han Ling narrowed his eyes, lightning arcing around his body, entering the hapless Avenging Spirit.
“AHHHHHH!!!! IT HURTS!!!!!” Kungg cried out in immense pain, his eyes bulging body writhing as electricity coursed through his body, giving him extreme bouts of pain.
“Want to tell me the truth?” Han Ling uttered coldly, his eyes glowing a bright purple.
“Ha…Ha… Please! I really don’t know!”
“AHHHHHHHHH PLEASE!! AHHHHHH!!”
The screams caused the men to turn pale.
“P-P-Please! I really don’t know!” Han Ling sighed in frustration, “Fine, but you’ll pay a price.” Han Ling pressed his other palm on the man’s dan tian. “Absorb.”
“AHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOO!!!!”
It was a scream so painful even Han Ling shuddered slightly.
[Elemental Zenith: Fire – 15%]
“Not bad.” Han Ling dropped the soulless body, turning to the group of men. “Anyone knows why the Avenging King is looking for the talisman?” The men were too afraid to even utter a single word. Han Ling sighed, “Thunder Flash tiger, kill them all.” The tiger roared before pouncing, shredding the men in no time at all.
Han Ling walked over to the gaping trio, “Anyone hurt?” His tone was so casual as if he hadn’t just tortured someone to death. “B-Brother Han Ling, wasn’t that too much? He is a disciple of the Avenging Sage, a top tier sage from the famed Northern Avenging Sect!” Han Ling snorted, “So? Its just another strong opponent to me.”
Bai Ye Qing openly gaped, unable to refute that. “But, what will you do now Brother Han Ling?” “I’m heading up the mountain, I unlocked something called the Tiger Temple, so I plan to go there.”
“Can we follow you?” Bai Ye Qing asked tentatively, like a puppy whimpering at its master. Han Ling smiled, “I did promise I’ll get you some treasures, come along.”
With a flick of a finger, gusts of wind carried the four of them into the air. Bei Ye Qing flinched, “Umm, Brother Han Ling, don’t you cultivate lightning techniques?”
“Hmm? Oh I cultivate wind as well.”
Bai Ye Qing shut his mouth; this guy just didn’t make any sense...
