Han Ling coughed awake, his mind fuzzy with the memory of a the past few seconds. He lurched up right, gripping his head as a massive headache bloomed. He groaned just as a voice sounded in his head. It was Obsidian Light’s female voice.

“Damn it, I have to move.” Han Ling stood with difficulty and promptly vomited a mouthful of blood, which actually cleared his mind a lot.

“What’s this?” Han Ling looked at the thing he vomited, they were black and stank terribly. “Could it be the impurities of my body? I’ve read of things like these…”

Han Ling took a deep breath, those great black wings unfurling behind his back.

“What in the world happened?”

His wings doubled in size, yet the weight was even lighter than before, little arcs of lightning coated the wings, causing them to glow in a deep purple hue.

“Did it get an upgrade?”

“Right.” Han Ling flapped powerfully, shooting into the sky like a bullet.

“Holy shit!!!!!”

Han Ling zoomed through the air, literally slicing through the air.

Han Ling turned around just in time to see a group of people appearing above the trees, stopping at where Han Ling crashed.

“Whew, now I got to figure out what happened… Where’s the Heavenly Law?”

“Hmm, first things first, I gotta understand my body, I feel like I’m inside someone else’s body.”

The young man landed gently next to a river, taking a little sip of the water before washing his face. “Hmm? Is this me?”

Han Ling’s face had changed, his own reflection looking back at him, smooth white skin that looks unlike a woman’s, a refined, beautiful look. “So this is what happens after impurities are gone from the body…”

“Right, stats.”

Han Ling swiped his finger down, and found himself staring at a completely different stat board.

Han Ling frowned, “A change?”

The screen of red disappeared for a few seconds before returning with a burst of gold.

Then a ring sounded.

Administrator? There really was someone controlling the entire thing? Han Ling’s expression darkened.

In his past life, many had played with the idea of an unknown being who created the Sovereign’s battleground. This administrator must be a being under that ‘creator’. Having an administrator proves it.

“But why would an administrator give me something?”

Han Ling sighed as he couldn’t come to an answer, focusing on the reward he was receiving.

Han Ling suddenly froze, eyes glowing purple as a ticklish pain flowed around his body, he clenched his fist till they drew blood, his breathing laboured and pained.

But after a few minutes, the pain subsided.

Han Ling took a deep breath, shocked as he could feel the two flows of power in his body, coming from his Dan Tian. “It’s been a while since I used only qi…”

Those black wings sprouted on his back again, and he turned to look at, feeling the featherweight wings emitting a great power.

Remarks: The wings created by the individual deemed Blood Mask. After absorbing Void Specks, the wing has undergone its second metamorphosis, increasing in strength, speed and all attributes.

Han Ling whistled in admiration, having a skill that works like Kuebiko’s Eyes is useful.
