《From Max to Zero to God》Chapter 55 - Sacred Heart Dungeon

A few days went by without much happening, Han Ling bought a couple of supplies here and there as he studied a detailed of the Realm of Monsters. Aiko started training with the elites of Jiron, gaining a couple of new friends with the Elites. Dragon’s Fall adventurer group was exceptionally nice to her.
But the day came when Han Ling had to leave, he took one last look at the map before leaving, dragging a grumbling puffy-cheeked Aiko out of the training hall and blinking straight to the Goblin Empire.
“We have two missions, the first is to get a clear idea of the area around the empire. If my plan succeeds and the three empires wage a full-scale war, Jiron will be able to strike along with the other Itonians, crippling the empires.” Aiko had a look of scepticism on her face, “Oh yeah? And how are you going to do that?”
Han Ling pointed down, and Aiko frowned, looking down.
RUMBLE!
CRACK!
The ground beneath them moved, a crack formed between them, and the ground shifted.
“W-W-What is this!?”
Aiko stumbled, falling on her butt as the ground rumbled, Han Ling calmly peered down the crack, not surprised to see a door covered in purple light at the bottom.
The cracks widened, creating a large gorge between Han Ling and Aiko, a few meters wide and hundreds of meters deep. Han Ling blinked over to Aiko’s side, propping her up despite her shaking legs.
“W-What is this! How come all of a sudden the ground shifted?” “This is the entrance to a sub world; we have to enter first, before the Goblin Army finds out about this.”
“Master…”
A cold, raspy voice sounded in his head.
Han Ling froze, whipping his head around. “Who’s there!”
“Master…Have you forgotten me?” Han Ling then realized, “Are you the Kyofu No Kakashi?”
A sense of happiness beamed from the voice, “Master has not forgotten me! It is I Kyofu No Kakashi, I shall serve the master.”
“Where are you right now?” “I am quite far from master, but I shall travel at my greatest speed.” “No need, stall any oncoming enemies from coming towards me, if you meet a lord or the king, retreat immediately.”
“Understood Master.”
“What’s wrong?” Aiko turned scanned the area but couldn’t find what Han Ling was talking to, Han Ling shook his head, “Its nothing. Lets go.”

Han Ling inwardly chuckled, “Just like that, my second mission is already complete, I’ll be able to return much quicker than I expected…”
Han Ling leaped into the gorge, calmly falling down towards door. It opened the moment Han Ling came near, and he disappeared into the light.
Aiko gulped down her fear, leaping in as well.
ZING!
She disappeared as well…
>>>
RUMBLE!!!! CRACK!! BOOM!
“My lord! The earthquake has unearthed a gorge a few kilometres long, there’s a door at the bottom of the gorge, we believe it to be a dungeon.” Lord Zafar raised an eyebrow, “Oh? Then why haven’t you returned with results?”
The little goblin shivered under the stern gaze, “W-We ran into a scarecrow, and it killed dozens of us.” “A scarecrow? What would the Fearcrow be doing there?” Lord Zafar frowned deeply, tapping his chin a few times before standing upright, “Gather the Chieftains and their armies, we’ll need to make it there before the other empires do.”
>>>
In the Beast Empire…
“Beast Lord Roogon! The source of the earthquake has been located, its in the eastern region of the Goblin Empire, a dungeon has spawned the gorge created.”
“A dungeon? Hehehe, why don’t I pay a visit?”
“What is my schedule?”
“The Spider Mother has retreated for the time being.”
“Then I shall pay that damn Zafar a little visit…”
>>>
In the Undead Empire…
“Death Duke Iaren, there has been a report on a completely new dungeon appearing on Goblin soil. The King commands you to take everything. You are allowed to bring 3 other Death Dukes.”
A deep, raspy voice sounded from the steel helmet, “I wish to bring my master.”
“Very well.”
“Death Sword Alataus shall accompany you to the newly formed dungeon.”
>>>
“This is a dungeon?” Aiko’s voice rippled outwards, like a stone thrown into water. Stone walls towered around them, flames on torches flickered, a medieval wooden door embedded into the wall in front of the pair.
“This place…”
[You have entered a sub-section of the void.]
[All stats increased by 10%]
“A sub-section of the void?”
“Void mana signatures? Could I be another Void Speck?”
“The only thing to do is to explore it then.”
“Aiko, lets move, we don’t have much time in here.”
At that moment, the door opened, a bright light and a hall appeared at the other side of the door. Han Ling cautiously entered, just to blink back in time.

CRACK!
The ground where Han Ling stood before cracked like a shattered rock, a large car-sized fist embedded in the ground. A large gorilla snorted; its teeth bared at the intruders. “Puny humans! You dare enter the Sacred Heart Dungeon!”
Han Ling brandished both his swords, Aiko’s hand flashed and a white katana appeared in her hand. Just in time to hear a Tri-ring.
[Sacred Heart Dungeon Quest 1]
[Defeat the Berserk Gorilla, Kong]
“DIE!”
Kong’s fist slammed down, cracking the ground and a shockwave slammed both humans back. Han Ling slashed the air, slicing the wind in half before bursting forward, black sword raised and glowing purple. “Void Sword Style: 2nd form. Abyssal Surge.”
The sword slashed, firing a beam of mana towards the beast’s shoulder, a red number appearing above its head.
-2312
“Damage reduction…”
“You dare! You insect!” Kong launched a barrage of strikes, his fist slamming down the ground till it was rubble. Han Ling adeptly dodged each strike, countering with a few strikes of his own. “Abyssal Crescent!” a purple slash sprayed blood from Kong’s wrist and the beast roared.
At the same time, a blue light erupted from the back of the gorilla, and blood splattered behind the gorilla, roaring in excruciating pain.
Aiko’s hand blurred, and another three blue beams flashed across the Gorilla’s fur, more blood spurting in the air. “GUWOOOHHH!!! YOU DARE!” Kong whipped around, his fist swinging like a wrecking ball. Aiko calmly leaped into the air, sheathing her sword before slashing from her sheath.
[Torrent Draw Style: Crashing Torrent]
-4563 CRITICAL!
Blood splatter across the face of the gorilla as he roared in rage.
Han Ling’s eyes widened, “The face is his weakness, huh.”
Shuwuwuk!
Black wings unfurled from his back, and they sparkled, arcs of purple lightning pulsing from his back, all around the wing. “Void Spark: Sonic Clap”
The wing flapped powerfully, slamming onto Kong, the little arcs spreading all over the beast. “Energy Barrage!” Han Ling threw both hands forward, dozens of orbs slamming onto the gorilla, scorching the beast’s fur. Large red numbers appearing quickly atop the gorilla’s head.
“GUWAHHH!!!” Han Ling’s eyes glowed gold, Kong’s health was past the halfway mark, it wouldn’t take long for it to enter its berserk state. “I’ll have to get ready.”
Han Ling’s hand blurred, two streaks of purple coursed upwards under Kong’s armpits, causing a large amount of damage.
-5672 -8732 CRITICAL!
“Aiko! Strike him and fall back!”
Aiko took a deep breath, like breathing quickly before submerging under water. Her sword sheath with a ‘shing’ and unsheathed with the sound of flood.
[Torrent Draw Style: Washed Away]
KABOOM!
-9832 CRITICAL!
Kong roared furiously, its roar blasted Aiko back a few meters, Han Ling just furled his wings in front of him, taking the brunt of the shockwave. He watched as red mana exploded from the Gorilla’s fur, its eyes turning blood red as its veins popped from the muscles.
“GUWOOOOOHHHHH!!!”
Before Han Ling even realized it, the gorilla’s fist was slamming down on him, Han Ling gritted his teeth, blinking quickly to the side before raising a hand to the air, black clouds formed slightly under the ceiling of the hall.
[Void Spark: Exploding Spark]
A powerful arc of lightning slammed into the palm of Han Ling’s hand, twisting and turning into the form of an orb, “Aiko! Buy me some time!”
“Got it!” Aiko’s petite body twirled in the air. She had her glowing blue katana in her right hand, her snow-white sheath on the left, “Torrent Draw Style: Pattering Droplets”
Papapapapapapa!
More than a dozen slashes appeared on the Gorilla’s fur, yet it only dealt shallow cuts, none of the cuts doing more than 100 damage.
Still it was convenient to annoy enemies.
“RAWHHHH!!” a giant fist scythed towards Aiko, but she held a hand, a blue barrier surrounding her.
WHAM!
Aiko’s body flew straight into the wall, breaking past the rubble, the dust cleared, revealing her completely unharmed.
“Wow… This armour is a little too much of a cheat…”

Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes. I didn’t see anything redeeming,” Quarren rebutted. “Well…” Alea chuckled. “You haven’t seen what I’ve seen.” In the year 917 of the Imperial Calendar, the Great War had just ended between dozens of nations. All were ecstatic when the current generation of the two Archduchy's, after the war, agreed to let their children wed. The excitement was short-lived however when the Aerianne Princess proved to be a dragoness among men but the Kanarian Prince was worse than even mediocre. The Prince disappeared and the wedding was shortly forgotten as society lived on. Until one day the Young Heir of Kanaria returned to Farrien a changed man, bringing demise with him. Follow the story of the Chosen ordained by the Goddess of Time as he returns to the past to right his wrongs and set things back straight again!
