《From Max to Zero to God》Chapter 46 - King Altos

Han Ling first went to the warships, inspecting the ships from a distance until some of the guards gave him suspicious glances. He then walked towards one of pubs, drinking down a large amount of Methil until he heard the familiar tri-ring.
[You have gained the buff: +100 luck for 10 minutes]
His eyes widened, “Nice! Time to take out the hoard I kept, hehehe”
He blinked to a nearby spot and opened up all the loot boxes he had, including the Glorious Gold one he obtained from Amaterasu. Once he finished opening every single one, he stared at the pile of items on the ground with tears in his eyes, “Its so beautiful…”
On the pile was a string of gold, silver and blue items, “This is quite the haul… I wonder my subspace is able to fit all of this.” He checked his subspace.
Void space: Able to store non-living objects into a sub-space. 72/5000 items.
Han Ling sighed in relief, “Alright I have enough.” Han Ling dumped all of the items into the Void Space, only leaving those he can currently use. He stared at the small pile of glowing fruits and bottles as well as some weird stones and a couple of elemental books.
He chugged the bottles, devoured the fruits, crushed the stones and read the books.
To summarise all that Han Ling ate, drank, crushed, read in the past 2 hours, just have a look at his current stats.

Han Ling felt power surge throughout his body, much smaller than what he had to endure back in his void mind, but still quite a large sum. He drank a couple of attack potions that raise his attack permanently along with potions of other stats as well. Though some of the fruit gave his magic attack a decent boost of +50 points. Still, he would take it with gratitude.
There were a couple other things that also got Han Ling’s attention, one was the White Night mask, a white mask with only two holes for the eyes, nothing else. But it caught Han Ling’s attention with its abilities and buffs.
White Night Mask (Glorious Gold)
Type: Mask
Rarity: Unique
Magic attack: +50
Attack: +20
Abilities:
Face Swap: Changes the masks face to someone of the user’s preference. CD: 1 day.
Han Ling replaced it with his black blank mask, finding it to comfortably fit his face.
All at once he changed into a random face, finding it strange to see someone else as he stared at the reflection in the nearby river. His hair was still black, with wisps of purple at the front, his eyes were silver instead of purple, his face wasn’t too handsome, but it was undeniable that he’s good looking.
He nodded in satisfaction, “Alright now we move on to the armour.” During the hunting in South Africa, he obtained the Gorgon’s Fury set and equipped it in the first world invasion, but currently he couldn’t wear armour, they cause too much distraction. So he picked up a cloak that seems like a shadow being pulled out the ground.
Shadow Mane’s Cloak (Esoteric Epic)
Type: Cloak
Rarity: Unique
Agility: +50
Magic Attack: +50
Abilities:
Enshadowed: Covers the user in shadows, it is difficult for outsiders to sense it. Lasts for 2 hours. CD 6 hours.
Han Ling put the cloak on, feeling the surge of power trickle through his body as the cold comfort of shadows draped over him.
“Alright, now that’s done. The elemental skills I got weren’t good, the only notable one was Lightning Chain. Capable of hitting a small group of enemies all at once.”
Han Ling shrugged, not exactly bummed out of the terrible elemental books. With that done, he decided it was time to meet the king. Without his approval, its impossible for the ship builders to build any additional warships. So, he approached the castle, only to frown.

At the gates was a handsome young man that oozed of arrogance, his smile was sickly oily, like something that was pasted on a mannequin. “Please tell the princess that I’m ready for our duel.” His voice was laced with obvious cockiness, looking down on every single guard at the gates, his words may seem polite, but he spoke as if he spat the words.
“Tell her that her future husband has come to battle for her again.” He kicked some dirt on the skirt of a nearby maid, giving her a venomous look. The maid yelped and scampered away, desperately looking for the young miss.
Luckily, she found her quickly, a petite, pale skinned, black haired girl stormed out the doors. “Basil Ratten! I have told you to never darken my father’s gates ever again! Yet here you are challenging someone you already lost to?” Basil gave the princess a sickly grin, “Princess Aiko… you husband has come for you.” He made a grandeur bow, causing Aiko to scowl, “I told you! I don’t fight people who have already lost to me!”
Basil gave a patient smile, “And I have already explained countless times, I only let you win, I can’t possibly hurt my wife now can I?” Aiko’s face reddened, not from embarrassment, but from anger, “Who the hell is your wife?!” Basil made a grand gesture of staring behind him and turning back to Aiko, “Well, me of course. Who else would dare try to take you?”
Han Ling raised an eyebrow, feeling the noble stare directly at him, to which he promptly ignores. Basil growled, finding that peasant’s reaction unsatisfactory, “Hey, peasant! Get out of here! Can’t you see this is the castle, it isn’t a place for you to stand around! Filthy mongrel…” Han Ling promptly stared at the noble, scratching his head, “Really? If that’s the case, why are you standing around here?”
Silence fell…
The maids held their breath, the soldiers behind Basil gripped their weapons, Princess Aiko stared at the man, dumbfounded. “Perhaps you do not know me,” Basil’s voice turned low, like the hiss of a deadly snake. “I am Basil Ratten, the first son of the mighty Ratten family.” Han Ling tilted his head to the side, “The Rat tent family?”
The silence this time felt much quieter, the maids hardly breathing as they watch Basil grip a spear from the nearby guard. Aiko snapped out of her shock, “Look out!”
Basil’s figure blurred and the tip of a spear was inches from Han Ling’s eye, “Blame your own ignorance, peasant!” Aiko shoved her hand forward, attempting to save the man, yet she knew he was dead.
Or so everyone thought…
The tip stopped right before Han Ling’s eye, his expression stoic and calm. Basil frowned, before his face turned to shock. His spear was stopped, with Han Ling’s index and middle finger, clamped on the blade of the spear.
Basil scowled, “You just got lucky!”
He attempted to push his spear forward.
Emphasis on attempted.
It was as if gravity multiplied by dozens of times, the noble’s head slammed straight into the ground, his scream muffled by the dirt. Han Ling’s eye’s glowed purple, the sky was filled with ominous dark clouds.
Aiko gaped openly, eyes trembling and hands shaking. That man… is a monster among monsters… Aiko had a much more acute sense of mana, less sensitive compared to her father, but enough to see the raging storm around the young man. His hand pushed downwards, and Basil sunk deeper into the ground. His screams billowing against the wind.
Han Ling pulled his hand back and stared at the castle. He sighed and drew back his aura, just in time to see a man crash to the ground with a great blade on his shoulder. King Altos glared at the young man in front, feeling a sense of a prey being stared at a predator. He gulped, knowing this man isn’t someone he can beat, “Sir expert, I am King Altos, what brings you here?” The great blade in his hand dispersing in light particles.
Han Ling glanced around, finding people crowding around the place, the more sensitive to mana people stared at him in fear. The teen sighed, concentrating slightly as his mana was sucked in, so much so that no mana signatures emitted from his body. “I come here to have a chat with King Altos, I’m an ambassador from Jiron, wishing to make friendly ties with the Wave Kingdom.”
King Altos widened his eyes, “Jiron? Did Narukami send you?” Han Ling frowned slightly, “No, but he has given me command of this mission.” “Mission?” The teen smiled, “Perhaps it would be better to discuss this inside.” Altos coughed, “Ahem! Of course!”
Han Ling stared down at the unconscious Basil, “Please tell the Ratten family head to teach their kids some manners.” “A-Ah, yes. Of course.” Altos gulped, seeing one of the top combatants of the Wave Kingdom face down on the ground shocked him with a deep fear.
“Please follow me.” King Altos led Han Ling into the castle, Princess Aiko stared at the man with trembling eyes, the sight of a mana storm from a single person etched deep in her mind.
“He’s so strong…” She couldn’t help but redden slightly at that thought.
