CHAPTER 13: Prelude to disaster?
“Very well, follow me please into my room where we can talk in private”
Upon hearing these words, Hitoshi’s entourage had different reactions but the same thought going through their heads.
“Damn! Master has such a way with words!”
Nico face palmed himself and Niki just shook her head disapprovingly. All their lessons obviously had gone to waste!
He was supposed first to court her and then according to her reactions, was he going to confess. Not right from the get go and certainly not in his own room!
They did realize that for their pupil, it might be a bit too much to confess in a room full of people, but he could always invite her to another place and not in his bedroom to talk!
Every woman would be wary of a guy that she just met, if he invited her straight away there. Plus the fact that she was a human priestess, while he was a demon general, the outcome of his confession was as clear as the day that it would be a failure.
On the other hand Harry Porker had a smirk on his face. He thought his master was so cool, inviting the priestess to his room to get down to “business”.
The heroes’ party on the other hand, were dumbfounded. Not knowing Hitoshi’s intentions, they took his words for what they were. The common thought among most of them was:
“Oh my god!!! Did that demon ask Sachiko to his room to XXX her???”
Sachiko was unable to utter a word. His “invitation” left her speechless, the words “follow me into my room” repeating inside her head.
She thought right from the start that it was very strange for a demon to act the way Hitoshi was acting, but she should have known that “that” aka the triple X, was his intention all along.
But before even being given the chance to answer, it was Eric who furiously yelled:
“Like hell, will she go to your room, you bastard! You think any of us and especially me, is going to stand here and let you do to her as you please? It’s obvious what you want to do to her by inviting her there, demon!!!! ”
His poisonous words made Hitoshi flinch. What was this guy shouting about? True intentions?

It was true that he was going to confess to her, but no way did that despicable ikemen could know about that!
Suddenly, the realization of how his words could be interpreted hit him. Blood rushing to his head from embarrassment, his pale cheeks got crimson red. Rushing to clear any misunderstandings, he tried to explain.
“No, no, no! I would never do something like that. …..at least not before marriage...” the last comment only a whisper heard by him and Porker, the latter looking in obvious disappointment Hitoshi, after seeing his great expectations crashed.
“And here I thought that Master was so cool! How can he be so vanilla? Sex after marriage? Hell, that shit didn’t happen even 300 years ago, when my family was ruling! If it was me and Moira alone in the bedroom, the mattress would be lit on fire, the headboard would break, the whole earth would shake and the dead would rise!!! I’m not meaning to brag, but my performance in my time was rumored to be of epic proportions. That was the truth after all behind my title “Vlad the Impaler” thought Harry.
Upon hearing that from Hitoshi, Sachiko raised her left eyebrow in wonder. It was strange, but hearing that from a demon actually hurt her pride!
Sure, she may not had Moira’s “assets”, but still she was considered a beauty, her hand being asked in marriage from plenty of suitors of noble birth and with vasts amounts of fortune.
The reason she didn’t accept anyone of them you ask? Some may call her foolish and her father truly did, but she always thought that marriage should not be a matter of interest.
She always thought that the one whom she was going to marry, would be the one who would not marry her for her noble title, for her money or for the prestige of being married to the high priestess who was in the heroes’ party and as such a heroine herself.
No. The man whom she was going to marry, would marry her because of love, because of who she were and not because of what she represented. He would be someone who cherished her above all others and who would even throw his own life for her.
None of the men she had met so far, had any of the qualities she seeked and there were many days that she thought that in the end she was doomed to follow her father’s orders and marry the one chosen by him. Still, having the quest from the king to slay the Demon King, had put her father’s plans of an arranged wedding to a halt, but even that was going to end sooner or later.

Hitoshi was vehemently denying of having any sort of impure intentions, but Eric and his party was having none of that.!
Thinking of how to make them believe him, he swiftly with the sharp, claw like fingernails of his left hand cut through his right hand’s palm.
The blood slowly dripped to the white marble floor. Everyone was bewildered by his actions, but especially his loyal subordinates who knew what he was going to do, but were unable to stop him.
He raised his bloody hand and with his loud voice echoing through the grand hall he declared:
“Upon this blood, upon my life, I swear that I have no intention of harming lady Sachiko. So rest assured that I just want to talk with her.”
Everyone was just standing there staring at him in disbelief. The Demon General had just made a blood oath. The severity of making such an oath was known to all.
The consequence of breaking it would be unavoidable death.
He had sworn on his life and that fact, was enough for the heroes’ party and especially Eric and Moira who thought that if the demon couldn’t help himself while being left alone with Sachiko in his bedroom, they would have one more less to kill, making their final goal of defeating the Demon King even easier.
Moira thought of course that if it was her in the room alone with him, the Demon’s General death would have been a done deal.
No man could ever resist her charm, her ample bosom and delectable buttocks!!!
Helion and Marion on the other hand, reaching a different conclusion, whispered among themselves:
“He’s taking her to his room and has no intentions of doing “that”!!! Do you think he might be one of “us”?” asked Helion
“Even if he was, who would tap “that”? Imagine this, if one were to spend the night with him he would be scared to death upon seeing his face first thing in the morning when he woke up!!! His face is scary like hell! Look at his horns, his sharp fangs and his evil blood eyes, his sickly white skin.” answered Marion.
“Hehehe, you are right my love!” answered the trap.
Her friends’ thoughts upon the whole situation were completely unknown to Sachiko.
Her uneasiness of following the demon to his room was completely lifted off after his blood oath. She couldn’t help but wonder though if the Demon truly knew the seriousness of his actions, any further thoughts on the matter though, were stopped by Eric addressing her.
“Sachiko, given the situation and although you have to know that it pains me to ask this of you, I think it would be to the team’s interest if you followed him to his room and find out what he wants. You are the only one who can speak the demon’s language after all.”
Sachiko taking his words in, nodded her head in agreement
“Yes, I also think that’s the wisest thing to do. But if I leave you alone here, I am afraid what might happen to you while I am gone. What if the other three attack you?”
Hitoshi was watching them talk, anxiously waiting for them to reach a decision.
Hearing Sachiko’s doubts he couldn’t help but butt in their conversation.
“Don’t worry about that they won’t” he said to them.
Turning his back to the intruders to look at his subordinates with a voice full of authority he declared in the human language loud enough for everyone present in the room to hear.
“I, the Demon General, order you! You are not to attack any of the people in the priestess party while me and her are away! If you fail to follow my orders you will be punished by death!”
He truly didn’t care if they did anything to the rest of the heroes, as long as Sachiko was left unharmed, so he thought why not tell a little white lie?
To make his point come across and calm his companions, he gave them a wink after giving them his “order”.
Assured of their present safety, Sachiko said to Hitoshi:
“Okay, I will go with you to your room. Lead the way.”
“Very well! Follow me please.”

World Story: Biographies of Extraordinary People
Important note: I’d like to thank Dr. Buller for their advice on dialogue by their critical review. And I’m on a one-month break to post the first revised chapters on Scribble Hub. Please stay tuned! Even in faraway worlds, every folk had a story, and monsters came in numerous shapes and sizes. However, heroes never existed in this otherworld. Even the most idealistic understood this deep within. But as they abandoned their humanity at times, they quickly regained it. It was not that they became human again. They always were. So what happened when the monster devoid of humanity appeared? Well, the “heroes” sought to slay it at all costs either way, lest it would be the end of their stories. A portal/isekai fantasy that I wanted to deconstruct some elements within. Expect a whole ton of references and dialogue because I’ll deliberately write it more like a light novel. The last thing to consider is that Japanese names in my novel will come with kanji/hiragana characters within parentheses. The same goes for any other derived from non-Latin writing systems. It’s because none of the names I write will be accidental or random. They’ll all have meaning. New chapters Monday to Thursday at 11:00 PM (GMT+8), though sometimes I can’t. Credit for the cover art goes to HWPerfidy. She’s a freelance artist on this site, and I’d love anyone who shows her support.

The Devil's own sins
Writer updates available for free on patreon. The following account, dear reader, is a recollection and retelling of the story of the first imp. The last devil born from the original primordial pit at the dawn of time, and the lowliest speck of that first generation. It recounts the tale of Thozronnath the pitiful and his steady rise from obscurity, perpetually stuck as a punching bag for his betters until the day hell itself spat him out. The information presented here is pieced together from eye-witness reports and second hand hearsay, sometimes from creatures with more than two hands. I can not tell you with any degree of accuracy how much of it is true as it begins long before our time and it's true ending lies far unto the future still. I can tell you one thing though, it was confusing as hell. Cover: Illustration for John Milton's Paradise Lost by Gustave Doré (1866), a thankfully public domain image. Currently on hiatus. Berries, Boars, and a Boy (A How to Train Your Dragon Fanfiction) (Snotlout/OC)
"In a lot of ways, Snotlout is very much Spitelout's son," said Freda. Torben did not need to see her face to hear in her voice that she wanted to say more. Torben turned his face toward the sun, the heat of it warming his skin though his world remained dark. "Even without my sight I could see that. Why else do you think I would encourage and allow his frequent visits here." --- He was brash, cocky, and way too self-confident for it to be real but he had gotten her out of the tree. She was older than him, taller than him, and had an annoying habit of seeing through his bluffs but she had stitched him up. What happens when Sigyn and Snotlout strike up an unusual friendship? And what happens when Snotlout goes away to The Edge with the other Dragon Riders and she stays behind? Will their friendship remain intact, fade away, or possibly change into something neither was expecting? Just see if I don't make a Snotlout fan of you by the end.
