OK here is today's chapter making the second of the week. As I said earlier I will try to get done a chapter a day but I can not promise it. Either way enjoy!
Chapter 91 Dao of Kingship (1)
Three great pillars of descended towards the earth, flooding everything in their bride yellow light. Shocking power radiated from each of them, causing every lifeform within 500 kilometers, no matter if mammal or bacteria to tremble in fear.
Sitting cross-legged before this three gigantic pillars was Zes still fiddling with the meat stuck between his teeth. He didn't seem to notice the pillars being onyl a few meters away from them.
Inside of this pillars were three man, their hair swirling around them and their eyes radiating the same light as the pillars of light. Each of the three men emitted shocking ripples crushing space it self, but strangely before they could even get close to Zes they were blocked by a invisible force.
"Y-YOU BASTARD!"
Suddenly the man in the middle yelled, fury and madness shining inside of his eyes. He got into motion and step for step advanced towards Zes sitting figure. The funny thing was, that even though the pillar of light surrounding him and reaching the heaven followed his movements, it did so with a postponement. Everytime the man moved, he had to wait until the light once again covered his whole body before being able to advance again.
All this playing together, rather then being a epical scene it was more like a lag in a game.
Only now Zes seemed to notice what was going on before him. But instead of acting shocked, or at least get cautious and ready for a fight, he suddenly clapped his hands like a small child clapping to it's favourites character on TV.
"Hahahahahahaha, how nice, are you all super Saiyajins? Really cool costume and nice effects! You should get a show for yourself.
But, ÄH, my friend, I think you have a lag there. Your pillar is not moving with your body. Is that intended?"
As if watching a street performance Zes comments to the blue mans movement.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I WILL KILL HIM! THIS $%&§/& $/%$§% &%&/&% F&/(/& B/()(STARD !!!!!!"

Bluedragon city.
It's been three hours since the Kingdoms forces had started their counter attack against the church. By now, the whole inner perimeter surrounding the four monoliths had been completely abandoned by the church's troops and the fight had been dragged to their own quaters.
Countless corpses were scattered all over the open field and while a majority of them was wearing a red patterned white, there were also more then enough death bodies coated in heavy armours covered my formations. In total it could be said, that on every man of the kingdom that had died, there were at least three or more man of the church.

But even though here were huge causalities, numbering in the thousands on both sides, the fighting continued and as it continued it only became more fiercer. By now the only ones left from the Kingdoms side, were the ones with true power or the ones having their own ways to survive and kill the enemies.
So even though the church had more men and could also allow their men to rest while being substituted by others, the ratio of kills of both sides began to change in the Kingdoms favour.
And for this there was a simple reason.
The church troops were many made out of soldiers coming from different nations and fractions that were ordered to help the church with their war against the kingdom. Even though they all were doing their best to fight, there was no true reason for them to fight the Kingdoms side except for their kings orders.
So while the Kingdoms side had a good reason and a huge deal of hatred in their bones allowing them to keep on killing even though they were mortally wounded, the soldiers of the church did not have anything they could hold onto while fighting.
In fact there were even many who just started running as they noticed their disadvantage.
After all men cherish their lives and do not carelessly throw it away. Though there is an exception. Give a man a goal he believes in, something he can fight for and hold onto while dieing and he will fight to his death. Hive him something he has to protect, something that is dear to him and he will throw his live away for it.
This is how humans work and this is how especially men work.
Normally men will cherish their lives above anything else and give up almost everything to only stay alive. This is how man are in their purest form.
But once you give them something they can cherish other then their live, something that gives them happiness and a good live. Something that can be their drive. Once they learn about family, once they find out about pride and honor, they will change.
And this change is what makes the difference.
Tell me, if you take some mercenaries and pay them for their work. Then fight patriotic soldiers that have about the same fighting power, who will win?
Of course it will be the patriots!
This is, because although there is nothing that is physically different between the two groups, there is a major difference.
The soldiers are ready to die for their country, ready to give everything for it. They are willing to let themselves suffer for it. But the merceneries aren't. They are only fighting for themselves, for the money. They have nothing to die for in the fight, since if they die in the fight, all the money they had worked for would be for naught.

And this simple but important difference was also why the kingdom was able to kill more then the church, despite the layers overwhelming advantage in numbers.

Slash
Fife heads suddenly fell to the ground cleanly cut from their bodies and blood quelling out in streams. Fife death bodies, their heads lost a few moments ago also feel to the ground adding to the tens of corpses around them.
Just like a circle they were scattered around one person in the middle, heavily breathing and covered in blood and gore. The durable armour inscribed with countless formations was scratched and broken at multiple places revealing deep wounds underneath.
His strained eyes constantly wandered over the surroundings and while there was still plenty of killing intent all over the mans body, it was obvious that he had gone through multiple earthshaking fights.
This was Rean.
It's been three hours of fight. Three hours a time span that seemed ridiculous short in the eyes of a cultivator who would live for multiple hundred years at least. But this three hours had been live changing. In this three hours, he a normal soldier, a sniper had become something else. Something mightier.
Stepping forward he suddenly charged forward. As he set one food after another, his bodies surroundings started to change. The space around him seemed to get compressed while his body itself was being covered in a red light. The whole area around Rean seemed to have changed into a domain. A domain Rean was able to use as he wanted.
This was no qi technique, nor was it some ordinary dao. This was what Rean had gained in the three hours of fighting. It was a creationstage dao!
Rean did not exactly knew how he managed to comprehend it, but at some point. In midst of the death and the fighting, he suddenly had a flash of insight. It was as if everything around him, everything that was happening around him somehow affected his own body and mind.
At that point he suddenly found himself understanding some strange dao.
It was nothing he had ever seen before. There was no connection to nature in it, nothing that would bound it to some phenomenon in nature. It …. was different. And even though Rean could not say what exactly was different about it, he could see that it was much more powerful then any dao he had ever seen before.
Other then this fact he also understood just what dao he had just comprehended.
The dao of Kingship
This was the dao he had comprehended. It allowed him to make a certain area around him into his own domain, the Kings Domain and controller every dao inside of it.
Considering the powers of the dao and it's strangeness, it wasn't unusual that Rean instantly thought of the legendary creation stage dao's wielded by the four governors.
But even though he did not knew how the heck he had comprehended the dao, or why he was the onyl one to do so, he knew how to use it.
And this was what he did right now. Using his domain around his body he slammed into a crowd of church soldiers. Instantly they were either burned up or frozen into ice. With one simple flash four soldier, each of them on the corestage were easily killed.
This was truly powerful!
After all Rean himself was only late corestage, something what is normal as he was only 18 years old and had only cultivated for a bit more then 10 odd years.
In comparison, the men he had just killed, who were at most mid, or early corestage where all over 100 years old and had cultivated at least multiple decades.
But even though his newly found dao of Kingship was very powerful, it wasn't all mighty. He could undead even challenge early nascentstage cultivators relying on it, but anything above that would be counting death.
This is also why he was very careful to not come across a truly formidable expert and just loose his live, slaughtered like some chicken.
Continuing to use the same mix of slamming and the use of his dao, Rean was constantly decimating the enemies lines.
As he was just killing another late corestage soldier, he suddenly shivered. Dread filled his mind as he suddenly felt the powerful aura of a nascentstage stage cultivator behind himself. Towering killing intent crushed down onto him pinning him down.
Nascentstage !
Slowly turning around Rean managed to see whom this powerful aura belonged to.
Right before his eyes, about twenty meters away from him there was a woman. Her icy grey eyes were locked onto him as a fearsome aura started to spread out from her. Her jet black hair fluttered around her crow black armour.
But what cruelly caught Reans attention was, she was late nascentstage!
