《Dao of Emperor》Chapter 50 The days go on

Hi guys, after a short "vacation" I'm back and bringing you this chapter and don't worry the next ones will be longer, I'm just busy dealing with the aftermatch of the cause of my "vacation". Despite that I have started a new story called Last Warrior of a Nation. It's not a xianxia but rather something playing in a "real world" and it's more serious then this story. For now it's just a side project and I don't know how many chapters I will write and at what times I will realize them. Also I will post the link as soon as it it approved.
Chapter 50 The days go on
As the cry roared through the city, Maaran and the girls abruptly woke up from the strange state they were in. Worried they all looked towards Zes that was sweating beads and trembling all over. Reis was the first one to rush over, closely followed by Pinia, Les, Zoe and finally Maaran.
Only after some time Zes finally managed to calm down. The scenes before his eyes had touched his biggest trauma making him unable to resist its extreme influence at his soul. And even after it stopped and he woke up, the scene he saw in the grey void was still before his inner eyes.
Finally the trembling stopped and Zes slowly stood up. As he saw the worried expressions of Maaran and the girls that were standing around him he couldn't help but tiredly grin.
"You don't have to worry, it's nothing serious. I … just saw a scene, which I never wanted to see again in my life. So you really don't have to worry, just resume cultivating."
Zes words did not calm them at all. After all they all heard that heart breaking cry that was even able to forcible get them out of the strange state in which they were unable to notice anything in their surroundings. But in the end it was up to Zes if he wanted to tell them what exactly happened and they couldn't force him to tell them. In the first place there was no one that was able to force him to do this in the entire kingdom.

Because of this, they could only assure that there were no external injuries on Zes body and get him a new robe since the old one was drenched in sweat to an extent that even the sperm flooded bed of Zes was a desert in comparison.
After that they resumed cultivating. Just as Zes had also completely calmed down and wanted to start cultivating his soul realm as he was unable to cultivate qi due to the after effects of overusing natural qi, Maaran suddenly cried out. Astonishment could be seen on his face.
"What is this energy? It's no qi, but after absorbing only a bit my soul has become bigger by quite an amount."
Zes surprised looked at Maaran, he had never expected him to have talent for soul cultivation. After all not even one of the girls was able to cultivate it at all since they did not perceive the energy needed for cultivation. For Maaran who was a person able to create a dao like the dao of Harem, he would never think of the possibility that he was able to cultivate it.
But in the end even though Zes did not expect Maaran to be able to cultivate it, there was no harm in him doing so and in fact it was even beneficial as it would further strengthen him. As Maaran was the only human cultivator other than him right now, he was also in need to become as strong as possible in the shortest time possible. After all, there were countless dangers on the road of cultivation and even though right now there was nothing that would endanger Zes, there could always be an incident destroying his cultivation or making him unable to advance any further.
Smiling Zes explained Maaran the meaning behind the strange energy that was gathered by the Black Garden Paradise formation. Unfortunately Zes knew no attack techniques that used the soul realm as immortal Calm Light had never cultivated the ways of Illis and naturally had no techniques belonging to it that he could have left behind. So even though the cultivation of the strange energy was increasing his ability to calculate in his mind he would have to search for Illis techniques to actively use it. Nevertheless Zes decided that he would continue absorbing it as it boosted his ability to form formations and Zes already was able to create a simple formation relying on the strange formation.

The formation was still very simple and it would take some time for Zes to get to the point of making formations of the grade he was making right now but in terms of power the formations made of the strange energy were slightly more powerful.
In the end they spent the whole day cultivating inside of the garden, discussing about the daos and the strange energy. Zes made quite some progress in cultivating the strange energy and his body technique the Divine Body of Immortal. Right now, he was already half a step into the second stage and it would only take him a short time to reach the second stage and form his second divine body.
The night was once again spent extremely loudly and lewdly. Adding the fact that Maaran was proactively making his harem and enjoying the nights with the servants.
In fact, the moans could be heard even in the palace where Gay was currently sitting in his library and enjoying a manga. Ever since Zes came to the city, he had been collecting more and more of them, having already a collection of about 200 volumes. Most of them were found in some hidden bunkers that hadn't been found in the first time of the demons invasion and survived their mindless destruction. Actually quite a lot of rich demons had the hobby of collecting human articles that survived that period.
Some collected books, others paintings or furniture. There were big auctions selling them in all kingdoms and many people were willing to pay an exorbitant price to get a piece of tableware! Gay himself has spent an equivalent of a few million euros to gather all this manga here.
But even though they cost him so much, Gay was happily sitting in his armchair as he read the last volume of school days (if you don't know the ending google it). The next thing that could be heard was a stunned yell followed by a cursing Gay.

Our Chaoz; Our Reality (Completed)
Everyone has their own reasons, be it past events, personality or simply company. But most at some point divulge themselves into videogaming, be it for entertainment or more compettitive reasons. In this year and age there are many genres of gaming, one specific genre though still holds on tight to the ledge it was pushed to trying to pull itself back up. MMORPGs were once the top of everybody's list, adventure, combat, storytelling and endless grind in one single game. It was a different life for most, as if a parallel world to our own. You could be a knight indulging yourself in combat, a mage expertly crafting spells of mass destruction or creation. A ranger exploring the land and hunting down prey, an assassin completing contracts and hording the spoils. A troll scamming children out of their hard earned 10 gold and making more hardcore players rage quit for the day. Or something else. Kyle was a simple player, he always picked the strangest classes or jobs and his characters almost looked the same. He played for the combat, he played for the grind and he played for his guild but above all he played for the story. Kyle is a roleplayer, one who enjoys the simple parts of this virtual life. Whether his guild was starting a war or ending one he'd always have his drammatic entrence or exit, his decleration of annihalition or demand of surrender. After all that? He divulged himself in the game's story, the interaction with NPCS (Non Player Characters) and their advanced AI. He went through many questlines, many tales of heroics and many more adventurers of legend but one thing always remained true with his character. Kyle absolutely loved to the play the villain. But when game turns reality, what will he and his guild of twisted personalities do?

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.

Manaseared
Adventuring is for losers. Only the absolutely impoverished or the megalomaniacally mad would stoop to graverobbing and dungeon-delving to put food on their tables. As a career it is dangerous, unreliable, illegal, and infinitely unpleasant. Most who choose this life have no other options. They're the seventh sons of seventh sons, the disowned, bastards, impoverished and desperate, and nearly always young. And they are, without fail, losers. Eris is an adventurer. Eris is a loser. Like most of her make she's a teenage runaway with no other options. Unlike her company, she isn't fodder for the meatgrinder. She's beautiful, brilliant, and a talented magician; she's also vain, callous, selfish, and proud. This is her story, as she grows into adulthood, masters her abilities, and learns to care about more than just herself. Manaseared is an episodic fantasy adventure serial. It's also a pastiche of early D&D and RPGs in general, and an attempt to explore at what it might really mean to be a first level adventurer.
