Chapter 39 Princess

Zes just grinned. This was actually perfect. He had already expected the Kun clan to send someone in order to check out where the uproar resulting in the formation he set up came from. Now that he had finally made this divine body of his, he wanted to test out just how much of his strength he really could use with it. This is because even though the divine body can only show a 7th of his strength, most of his strength was based on his comprehension towards the dao rather than his actually strength as cultivator.

So he wanted to see how this clone would cope with someone even more powerful than him based on cultivation level.

Since they were linked he did not even had to say anything, the clone just nodded also smiling and flew towards the direction of the powerful cultivator.

Meaning while Pinia had already entered the city through the blue dome. The first thing she noticed was the absurd concentration of qi inside of the dome. There was about three times the qi inside the dome compared to the surrounding. Pinia quickly drew the conclusion that this formation was not only protecting the city, it was also concentrating qi inside of it.

"This… just how deep has this man comprehended formations?"

She mumbled to herself. This only strengthened her desire to get this formation expert join the royal clan. A talent like this… where in the world could she find someone coming just even near to his level?

As she thought that she felt a strange aura coming near. It was strange in the regard that it wasn't strong but it made her feel that the owner of the aura was someone able to threaten her. She turned towards the direction of the aura. A white clad young man not older then herself came flying from the center of the city. The strange thing was that she wasn't able to determinate his cultivation. It seemed to be peak nascent stage but at the same time it wasn't. Pinia was careful. To meet someone like this, it could mean death if not being careful.

The young man came near and Pinia yelled.

"I'm Pinia Kun, royal princess of the Cers Kingdom, who is this Lord?"

The young man just smiled.

"My name is Zes, I'm the city lord of this Bluedragon city. What might the princess look for in this small city?"

Pinia's eyes flashed. So this was the city lord no one knew anything about. To be honest she was surprised. She had heard that he was young but this youth wasn't older than herself. But actually that was even better. A formation expert reaching the pinnacle of formation at such a young age was much better than an old geezer with not much room to improve. Pinia decided to straight forward tell her intention.

"So you are the new city lord. I congratulate you. Oh and I have also heard that you have been the one setting up this formation over Bluedragon city…"

"You have heard right, this Formation was made by myself. Is that a problem?"

Zes asked her provocative. Pinia noticed it but did not mind it. It was normal for people having power to have a bit of arrogance. If she really wanted to rope him in, she had to take it like it was.

"Of course there is no problem with this. It's rather the opposite. I would like to make you an offer. I'm sure that you will be pleased with it."

"Oh…"

Zes just continued smiling without saying anything. He would never take any offer from that princess no matter what she would offer but … why not hear what they would offer? Pinia continued as she saw no signs of disapproval.

"I want to offer you a position as an elder of the Kun royal clan. Of course you will also get quite some stuff if you agree. You can get all treasures you need to cultivate and you will get a manor inside of the royal palace. If you want you can also get all the girls you want.

What do you say?"

For bigger clans it was normal to invite powerful or talented individuals using their own clan members. There have been cases where a dozen girls from a powerful clan were gifted to one powerful warrior only to get him join the clan. Another time a hundred girls were gifted to a deity stage cultivator only to get a friendship with him. Of course these girls were only members with low cultivation and talent. So for these clans that had few hundred members, a powerful cultivator with good talent was much more worth than a girl of their own bloodline but with bad cultivation talent.

Pinia waited for Zes response. After some time Zes finally opened his mouth.

"So, you are offering me a post as elder of the Kun clan right?"

"Yeah, together with other rewards."

Zes started to laugh.

"YOU are offering ME an IMMORTAL a position of elder in a DEMON CLAN? HAHHAHAHAH RIDICULOUS HAHAHAHA"

Pinia froze. Beads of sweat formed at her forehead. An Immortal…. A FUCKING IMMORTAL? She was offering an immortal a post as clan elder… shit.

Zes still laughed there not moving a bit. Suddenly Pinia got into motion. She knew that she could not beat him inside of his own formation, so she had to get out of it as quick as possible. She shoot of heading towards the blue dome. She closed in. As she almost reached the dome, suddenly the blue shining dragon appeared in front of her. A terrifying pressure descended upon her making her unable to move any further.

Decisive she turned around. She understood that she would not get out of the formation as long as it was controlled by Zes. So she shot into his direction preparing to instant kill him with one move. In that moment she did not bother with the fact that she could not determinate his cultivation, she only thought how to get out of the formation.

As she closed in, Zes smile did not disappeared. Rather now his eyes had a glow of fighting intent. His aura burst out shocking everything around him. Pinia was similar surprised. His aura did not differ from the one of the dragon inside the formation. It was only weaker so she still could move. Still the aura surrounding Zes was strong enough to pressure her and she estimated that it lowered her power by 30%!

She was only 10 meters away from Zes when suddenly everything stood still. Pinia once again could not move.

Dao of Time!!!!

She immediately recognized the dao Zes was using.

"So it was the dao of time, no wonder you were so confident. I have to admit that you are not bad to have comprehended a dao like this.

But…. it is not enough against me!"

Pinia concentrated her qi and managed to break the binding. She resumed flying towards Zes at high speed. In her heart she was honestly surprised, there were few able to comprehend the dao of time at such a young age. But know that she was able to break free she believed that it would be easy for her to kill Zes. After all the binding technique Zes used right know was the most powerful out of the ones belonging to the dao of time.

A confident grin crept on her face. But as she looked at Zes, it instantly vanished. Zes was still grinning but know it was a devilish grin showing confidence and arrogance. But the important part was a small sphere floating before Zes. Pinia was the daughter of a deity stage demon and had often seen similar things. Her eyes were bright open from the shock.
