Hi today's chapter
Chapter 32 Human?
The three of them stood there chattering around. As they saw Zes, they grew excited and ran to him. But before they could say anything Zes suddenly blurred out.
"Eh, I just remembered that I have never saw your beast form, did I?"
The girls were startled. Every demon had a beast form. It could also be considered their original form as it was inherited from their parents. Also most clans consisted of one kind of beast form. But for demons, the beast form was something very private, they normally did not show to anyone. But Zes was their master and to be accurate they were his pets. So it was only normal for him to want to see their animal form.
Even so they hesitated. It after all was something very special to them. Zes also noticed that and did not force them.
"Well if you do not want to do it, then you do not have to do it. It was just something I was interested in so…"
But Reis interrupted.
"..No, it’s ok. We are after all your pets and it should become normal for us to change into beast form as we are your animals."
Zoe and Les also nodded and they all started to change their form. A light appeared around them as they slowly changed into animals.
Reis was surrounded by a green light. She first grew smaller to about 40 cm. Then ears appeared at her head and her face changed. As she was finished. She became a small white fox with green ears. Her appearance was really cute. So cute that Zes could not help but immediately hug her and pet her head. Her fur felt nice and looked like finest silk.
It was just too cute to be true.

Les and Zoe were surrounded by a blue light and also first grew smaller. Then they grew beautiful blue scales. In the end they became two small blue dragons also being so cute that Zes hugged them as well.
"Guys your just tooooooo cute. Cuteness level over 9000. Why do you not like this form?"
Reis answered, what looked quite strange as she was a fox speaking "human" speech.
"It's just that we demons do not like to be remembered, that we are not that different from normal animals. That's why we take this humanoid form."
"But you know that you are imitating humans with that, right?"
Reis did not know what to respond to that. It was true. They essentially imitated humans in order to not be mixed up with normal animals.
"Also, you do not really have to do that. Even though you are really too cute. If you do not like it you can just stay in your human form."
But Reis, the fox suddenly jumped at Zes shoulder and sat down there. Les and Zoe also flew to Zes arms and attached themselves to them like a wrist band.
"No, I think, this has also some advantages. It's quite comfortable to travel like this. I think we will occasionally stay like this if it's ok with you."
Zoe's voice sounded from his arm. Zes did not really know how to react. He understood that they mainly said that because of him and normally never would accept something like this. In the end he just smiled and nodded.
"How could I not like to be surrounded by such cuties?"
It was strange, it seemed, that the white fox and the two blue dragons became red for a moment. But it was only for a moment and they quickly turned back into their original colors.

"Ah, you wanted to show me something didn't you?"
"Oh, yes!"
They quickly turned back into their humanoid forms and gathered before Zes. A servant came in bringing someone inside. It was a young man, looking around 18 years old, wearing some lumps. Zes was shocked. It was not because of the fact that he was obviously a slave. He hadn’t problem with slavery at all. What shocked him was that he had no aura that marked a demon.
"We have found him at the slave market. He had just been brought here by a slave merchant. Of course we have immediately freed him with our authority as the daughters of the city lord."
Zes did not react for quite some time. It seemed as if his brain was not able to process what had just happened. The human youth scratched his head but stayed silent. He did not really understood the situation. It seemed that he was bought by some rich demons but now the person he would belong to was frozen.
The situation became awkward until Reis tapped at Zes shoulder. That woke him up from his strange state. He blinked a few time and then sighed emotionally.
He walked to the human youth while having a troubled facial expression. He had not really interacted with humans in 10 years so he had felt awkward facing this young man. He asked in English.
"What is your name?"
The human youth was surprised as he had never met any demon capable of speaking a human language. Of course he assumed that Zes was a demon as there were no free humans in this time and he felt the powerful aura, which other demons also emitted. The aura of him seemed to be different from the rest but it was certain that he was no normal human being.
"I'm Maaran Rolang."
He responded in perfect English.
"Where are you from? I mean what nationality are you?"
"I'm originating from England but I was sold here."
He obediently answered all questions Zes asked him. But after sometime he couldn't hold his curiosity and asked.
"Why do you want to know so much about me? Most of the other demons were not interested in me at all. I know I'm rude but I cannot contain my curiosity any longer."
Zes stared at him and then started to laugh loudly. Maaran was startled. He was not sure if he had angered him or asked something he should not have.
"Why I'm asking you so much.…hahaha. No other demon ….hahah……. That's because I'm no demon. I'm a human like you. To be exact I'm an immortal. A human able to cultivate like demons."

His eyes had turned bloodshot and his hands shook with rage. “The first thirty…” “Shut up!” Genzo bellowed “How dare you help these disrespectful gaijin?” Flecks of spit and madness flew from his face, his fist raised ready to strike. But Emi did not flinch, instead she was about ready to continue when Yuma Takeuchi interrupted her. “Uchida, please,” her sweet sounding words could melt ice. “I think we will have a better chance of getting home if we all work together.” When she glanced up with her sleepy looking eyes at Genzo Uchida he deflated visibly. “Were not getting home.” Uchida said coolly. “Group summoning, large, that puts us in the 60 series. No one came to greet us after five minutes of arrival. That leaves scenarios 68 and 69. In scenario 68 there is something that binds the large group together; they are all classmates or a single family. But thanks to the gaijin” he spit out the word “I think we are scenario 69 with no way home.” Ikko Inoue’s eyes went wide, while Katsukno and Hayata started muttering to themselves. Tim took on a serious look and rubbed his scruffy chin. Emi maintained her stoic expression while trying to find something to refute. McKenzie glanced at Randall and giggled. Randall took the prompting of his teammate and followed up by approaching Genzo. “Uh, so we are in a sixty-nine?” “Yes.” Replied Genzo with the seriousness of someone who’s life was about to end. McKenzie covered her mouth and snickered. “You and me, were stuck in a sixty-nine situation?” Randall pushed with a grin. “Yes, we are all stuck in a sixty-nine scenario together!” Genzo retorted in anger. McKenzie fell on her butt laughing. “What the hell is so funny?” Demanded Genzo, whose face had turned red. “It’s a problem with the automatic translation.” Retorted Tim. Randall, who seemed unable to quit started in again “So, about this sixty-ni…” Genzo interrupted Randall with a swift punch to the face. But, because of their height difference it was a bit of an uppercut that left Randall rattled. Tim and Ikko moved to step in between the two, but Genzo showed no further hostility. Instead he just stared at his clenched fist with such intensity it grabbed the attention of the room. “I unlocked a skill.” He said bluntly. ***************************** This is not a light novel, but people who like light novels should enjoy the themes of this book. ***************************** A Map of the Region
