《A Gun is the Strongest Weapon in a Fantasy World!》Chapter 4

Hisoka had driven all the way to a small town called Heartwell, found a parking spot, and went to rent an inn. He found a decent looking place and walked in, and was greeted by a pleasant receptionist.
"Hello there, are you looking for a room?" she politely asked.
Hisoka gingerly set the girl down on a chair in the waiting area and replied.
"Ah yes, how much does it cost per night?"
"It will run you four silver per night per room," she said looking towards his fox eared companion.
"We were out on a quest, but it seems it was a little bit above our abilities," he lied.
He reached into his bag of holding, counted out meticulously the exact amount, and passed 56 silver coins to the receptionist.
"Two rooms for 7 days please."
She nodded and went to the wall behind her where the keys to empty rooms were hanging. She grabbed the keys to two rooms that were next to each other and handed them to him.
"Thank you sir, enjoy your stay."
He carried the girl to one of the rooms, and gently set her on the bed. Seeing that she was sleeping soundly he began to clean and polish his prized .44.
He finished polishing it and noticed that she started to stir.
She slowly opened her eyes and began to get up. She immediately noticed the different environment and looked around before she noticed him. She backed up against the wall with a start and reached to her neck believing she had been sold while she was unconscious. To her surprise, there was no slave collar. She frowned and asked him,
"What, what happened with those slavers?" she asked eying him suspiciously.
"Ah, you mean those pieces of shit? They aren't walking the mortal plane anymore," he stated matter of factly. "When I had freed the slaves I found you in bad condition. You were unconsciously covered in bruises so I made the judgment call to get you out of there to a safer place. I ended up in this town and rented out a room in this inn," he explained to her.

Seeing the look of suspicion on her face he quickly said,
"Ah, don't get the wrong idea, you are free to go if you would like to leave, however, I would appreciate having a companion to travel with." He explained sincerely.
She thought about it for a moment. She clearly wasn't at the slavers' anymore, but she didn't have a slave collar. What he said about the slavers may have been true in that case. On top of that, if he had wanted to do anything bad to her, he could have easily just done so while she was unconscious. She surmised the man was being honest and replied,
"In the Taris kingdom, there are no free beastkin." she solemnly explained. "If I were to try and leave alone I would be taken as a slave again, or worse..." she trailed off for a moment, "Is it really alright for me to travel with you?" she asked him.
"Of course, I offered after all," Hisoka replied with an earnest smile.
"Oh and I almost forgot there, my name is Hisoka, may I ask yours?" he inquired.
"Ah yes, my given name is Misumi" she replied.
She felt comforted by his sincerity and decided that this was the right choice.
"Then I am in your care, Hisoka," she said humbly.
"Likewise, Misumi," he replied with a smile.
"Let's go and get some nicer clothes, this is the only set I have, and we need to get you something nicer than those rags," he said. He gestured for her to follow him and they left the tavern.
They walked down the main street until they came upon a clothing store.
"Go ahead and pick out a few outfits for yourself," he said, "Don't worry about the price. I took the slavers' money as reparations."
They entered the store and each looked around in their respective areas. Hisoka picked out 2 sets of loose-fitting shirts and nice sets of pants. He waited at the checkout and made idle chat with the cashier before Misumi came over in a stunning outfit. It was a rather tight-fitting outfit tailored for female adventurers, with an inner layer of soft fabric and a harder outer layer of tough leather to offer some protection even without proper armor. With her orange hair and well defined "attributes," she looked stunning and he couldn't help but stare. She blushed lightly and he cleared his throat before paying for the clothing with 2 gold coins.

"Would you like to get something for dinner?" he politely asked her.
"If it isn't too much trouble," she replied.
With that settled they went to the tavern adjacent to the inn, where they enjoyed a nice dinner of fine meats and wine. Hisoka received many envious looks from the male adventurers who were there drinking alone, but he paid them no mind as he and Misumi enjoyed their dinner. He left the proper amount of silver on the table and they headed back to the inn. He handed her the key to the other room as he didn't want her to get the wrong idea about things.
As he sat in his room he realized that he had yet to use his ability that day. Not wanting to waste it, he decided to summon a weapon for her, he decided on a 9mm Sig P226, which formed from the clump of light along with 6 20 round magazines for it. He decided to take her out and teach her to use it the next day, and while he idly stared at the ceiling he decided to check his status.
