Day 64

While we are travelling to the fortress. Caleb comes and finds us.

"Ah, there you are. I'm glad I found you. You see I recently got promoted to Captain and was looking for a lieutenant and was wondering if you want that position?"-Caleb

"I would love to... but I don't know if any of the older guys would like it if I ordered them around."-Me

"Don't worry about it. Once they see you in battle they'll be kissing your ass."-Caleb

I agree and Caleb promotes Ran to sergeant. We silently ride our wagon to the fort for the entire day.

Day 70

We arrive at the fort at around midday and I was allowed a room in the fort instead of having to bunk with the other soldiers. Ran and I share the bed together because we are both still small.

Day 71

Caleb is now in charge of the 9th division of spear men because the last Captain died.

'hehe scrub'

I have to meet my new subordinates today to get to know them... (sigh.. what a pain in the ass)

"Hey look what we have here. Two little kids that are lost. Are you looking for you mommy brats???"-Soldier 1

"This ain't a place for children. Go back to sucking yer mam's teets."-Soldier 2

"I think these kids needs some help getting back safely to his tent. Don't you think guys? Obviously for a price."-Soldier 3

In my anger I quickly summon 4 hell fireball (The blue fireball) and look at them with cold eyes. The three soldiers quickly back up in horror.

"You fucking pieces of shit dare try to bully your superior? I am the new lieutenant for the 9th division and I will be treated with respect. Any disrespect will be treated with accordingly. This here is my friend and Sergeant Ran. You three will be following me to the training hall right now."-Me

They follow me and after I usher everyone else out of the training hall. Within moments screams were heard the entire day.

The following morning I go to reintroduce myself to my men again. They all look at me in fear and shiver when I walk by them.

"hahaha looks like you got friendly with them real quick huh squirt?"-Caleb

"Oh, shut up."-Me

Day 72

Today is preparation day as the enemy army is marching and is expected to reach this fort in about 2 days.

I see the adventurer that sold me the bag and see him take out a silver card.

"Show status."-Adventurer

"Excuse me but why did you say that to a card?"-Me

"Oh hello again laddy. This is a status card that all adventurers have. It shows the strengths and information of the person."-Adventurer

He showed me his card.
