The assaulter removed her hood, revealing her white hair.

“I am Clone! One of the 48 Witches!” (Clone)

After hearing my past, the one who caused my extinction appeared right in front of my face!?

“...I am Ravenger. The last of the Croklis. I will definitely kill you!” (Ravenger)

Clone’s eyes widen when she heard my reply.

“C-Croklis!? Your kind still exist. I see, I should report this to the others, but if I kill you, I can get my promotion. Alright, die for my promotion!” (Clone)

...I don’t know how strong one of the Witches can be, but I should use all that I have.

“Limit Break - Dominion.” (Ravenger)

Dominion has been activated

Clone unsheathed her daggers dashed towards me.

With one swipe, I shredded Clone.

“Hahaha! I’ve got you now!” (Clone)

Suddenly, I was pierced in the back.

Shit, the one I destroyed must’ve been an illusion.

...Wait. Its not an illusion.

“...A clone!” (Ravenger)

I twisted my body and swiped at the clone behind me.

As I destroyed the clone, a haunting laughter echoed within the mist.

“Hahaha! Find me if you can!” (Clone)

A large number of clones surrounded me.

“Die! Infinity Strike!” (Clone)

“Emotional Control - Anxiety.” (Ravenger)

Emotional Control - Anxiety has been activated

I quickly activated my only defensive ability.

I don’t know how much I can take, but I have to counterattack soon.

I resisted a flurry of jabs, stabs, and slashes as Clone hacked away on me.

Victory and defeat lies on this move.

...Its now or never.

Twister has been activated

I quickly spun around, slashing away at any clones unfortunate enough to fall into my path.

Before long, I destroyed most of the clones.

“Hahaha! You really think I will be defeated that easily?

Clone appeared in front of me as I tried to catch my breath.

“You’re much weaker than the previous generation Croklis. I guess I can have a bit more fun with you!” (Clone)

More of Clone surrounded me again.

I used Twister to clear up the clones and moved to another corner.

I leaped upwards as more clones appeared beneath.

My eyes stared directly at Clone who was hanging on her dagger, which was dug into the wall.

“...Hello.” (Ravenger)

“W-What!?” (Clone)

“Die.” (Ravenger)

“N-Never! Substitution!” (Clone)

As I slashed at the Clone, but she managed to escape before I could strike her down.

“Don’t escape!” (Ravenger)

I slammed down onto the group of Clones, destroying most of them.

“Gah!” (Clone)

The force of my slam pushed Clone against the wall, stunning her.

I charged towards Clone with killing intent.

With one swing, I pierce Clone through the stomach, my claws digging into the wall behind her.

Clone spat out blood at my face.

“Hehehe, I’ve already informed of the other witches of you... We will do everything in our power to make you suffer...” (Clone)

“...Tell them to come at with with full force.” (Ravenger)

“...Haha… You will definitely take those words back.” (Clone)

“...” (Ravenger)

With nothing else to say, I pulled my claws out of her body.

(Ravenger)

As I removed my claws from Clone’s body, she and all her clones disappeared into mist.

Walking out of the treasury, I rejoined with Walter who was sitting on the floor.

“I don’t think royalty should be sitting on the floor.” (Ravenger)

“Ravenger! Are you alright?” (Walter)

“...I need to talk with the King again.” (Ravenger)

As Walter and I returned to the throne room, Walter informed his father the events that happened within thirty minutes.

I’m more surprised at how quickly I defeated Clone…

“...So the Witches are back.” (King)

“Yeah.” (Ravenger)

“...As their natural predator, how would you deal with this situation?” (King)

“I’ll hunt them. Simple.” (Ravenger)

The King stayed silent for a moment.

“...They are not as simple as you think. In the first war, they were defeated by your tribe. Now you are the only one left.”

The figure leaped out of a hole it created and chanted a spell.

“...Explosion.” (???)

The castle exploded into flames, debris flying everywhere.

That day, this incident was known as “The Castle Ablaze”.
