Chapter 36: The Strange Man In The Strange Store

The old man holding a necklace walks over to me, he holds the necklace up, 'This was my wife her necklace, she always wanted a son, but fate... had other plans for her', I would stare at the necklace not sure what to say or even to trust the man holding the necklace nearby him.

The old man coming closer toward me, I would step back, as he grabs my shoulders with a stronger grip than expected, I struggle to get out of the grip, trying to open the door as I realize it was still locked, there was no way I could open it without the old man his keys.

The old man steps back, 'I am sorry I did not mean to scare you', as he throws a key toward me, I quickly take up the key opening the door behind me while not losing the old man out of sight, 'Before you leave, take this with you, it may help you next time you are fighting a shadow', as he throws the necklace at him

I look back at the man 'How did you know-', before being able to finish his sentence the old man was gone, as I catch the necklace, the whole store appears empty, nothing inside it besides a broken table and chairs with some shelves covered by dust.

I walks out of the store, the house looking like an abandoned building, nothing inside of it as it appeared to be before, the necklace definitely real, but what was it for? and how do I use it, one thing was for sure, I should meet up with the others to discuss what just happened with the strange store and the old man, and this necklace, for now, I will put it in my bag, leaving the place quickly.

Grey walks to a house nearby the inn, he knocks three times on the door, and a small door opens showing only someone their shadow, 'Code please', Grey looks the man right in the eyes, 'Three stones, hit the road', the man waits a moment before opening the door.

'It is good to see you, Grey', a voice says as the door closes behind him while walking inside.
