Chapter 30: The Battle Against The Mercenaries

The two mercenaries were standing still, as the towns troops all line up in front of the gate, clearly being with less you could cut the tension with a knife, all being ready, they notice the mercenaries slowly coming toward them, with the two leaders in front of the troops, one whose name was Jet, the other clearly more calm and collected was named Ash, Jet already had his sword out swinging it around like a mad man, while Ash simply ran beside him all calmly not worried at all against the now eleven hundred versus their eighteen hundred.

John who was beside The Shadow Hunters and Robert suddenly noticed who one of the leaders was, 'we gotta watch out for that man', he pointed toward the calm looking man in front of his men, 'he is well known as a mercenary, he killed many men and woman and probably a few kids too', Grey looked at the calm looking man rushing toward them, 'leave him to me', he says before disappearing in the darkness, as the mercenaries clash with the allied troops both sides take heavy hits, while the allied side clearly in favor because most of them were on horses and the enemy was on foot, they would lose less, as for each dead on the allied side the enemy would take two or more.

The front guy who was all calm and collected clashed with a group of the men on horses easily defeating all of them without breaking a sweat, he puts his sword back next to him, as he looks over the battlefield, as he sees the other leader fiercely going in at multiple horsemen on horse or wounded on the ground, slaying all in his path.

As he quickly sees a small knife fly toward his head he would quickly dodge it by jumping off his horse, Grey inside the bush now rushing toward him barely missing with the knife, as Ash jumps over his horse with a sword in hand toward Grey swinging it toward his head, Grey with ease slides right under Ash, Ash quickly making the distance between them, to calculate his next attack.
