《Terror Explored (a terror infinity fanfic)》Battle for the Medallion

In the city of Nepal a tavern was preparing to close. Inside the poorly designed bar only two customers remained. Two women took up the table closest to the fireplace, laughing and chatting as if they were old friends reunited. The bartender, Marion Ravenwood watched the two as she cleaned the bar with a smile on her face. It was nice seeing other Americans out here.
Wind swept through the bar suddenly as the door burst open and three men entered the tavern. Two were dressed identical in German army uniforms holding rifles while the leader was dressed in all black with a rimmed hat. Ravenwood called a greeting but was ignored by the new occupants. They instead approached the only occupied table, their precedence enough to kill the conversation.
“I think the bar is closed for the evening,” said Gestapo agent Arnold Toht.
“Excuse me!” the bartender called from behind the bar “I think I’m the one who decides that”
“My apologies, fraulein” Toht said slowly “But we have important business to discuss with you. Business better handled in private”
“I don’t have any business with you” Ravenwood said “You can take your business elsewhere. Stop harassing my customers”
“We should go” the black woman said, standing
“I want another drink” her caucasian friend said stubbornly
“You should listen to your friend” Toht said “It's not safe for young women like you to be out this late”
“We can take care of ourselves” the first woman snapped, her tone growing hard.
Toht didn’t respond, only smiling creepily.
“I’m getting a drink” the second woman said and walked through the group of Nazis, bumping the two soldiers as she passed.
“You two should learn some respect” Toht said sourily
“You should leave” Ravenwood snapped
“I grow tired of this,” Toht said, “We’re here for the medallion. Give it to us”
“What would you want with that?” Ravenwood asked, giving her customer a new drink.
“Hasn’t Jones been in contact with you?” Toht asked
“Indiana is running late” The first woman said, drawing a pistol from her pocket.
Toht barked an order when he saw the gun his soldiers fired their rifles but the guns immediately burst apart in an explosion of ice and metal. Eve stood proudly as one soldier looked at his mangled hands, ice grew across his form until he was frozen to the floor. The other soldier hadn’t suffered as bad and had jumped back when the ice began to grow. He didn’t look concerned for his comrade, he kept a blank face and watched his commander at all times. The commander in question was frozen in horror and fascination as the ice enveloped one of his soldiers. Once the ice began to creep past the soldier and towards the commander did he break from his awe.

“Get her” he ordered, pointing at Eve.
The soldier wordlessly nodded and charged forward. Suddenly before Eve was a nine foot tall green humanoid with a single eye. The soldier still didn’t show any emotion but stopped his charge at its appearance.
“I don’t think so,” Crystal said, revealing herself behind the commander. Her pistol aimed directly at Toht's skull.
“Who are you?” The man asked through gritted teeth, his face flushed.
“Don’t worry about it” Crystal said, “You’re going to come with us and then someone will tell you what’s going to happen”
“You dare give me orders,” Toht spat.
“I dare” Crystal said “Don’t think I won’t hesitate to put a bullet in your head”
“Prüfung!” the commander shouted suddenly “Don’t hold back!”
The soldier nodded and grabbed the table beside him. With one hand he lifted the table and sent it flying towards Crystal. The summoner could only jump behind the bar to avoid the rapid projectile. Her giant at the same time dashed forward and tried to grab the soldier. The silent soldier kicked at the approaching arm, and jumped back. This time his jump crossed most of the bar.
“You may give orders to me” The commander laughed “But i’m the one who gives orders to him”
The soldier landed and spun on his heels to face Eve. He sprinted forward, his gaze locked on the frostelf. Eve met the soldiers' charge this time, ice covered her hands and forearms forming ice gauntlets. She caught the soldier's charging punch, the force shattering the ice. The ice fragments immediately flew onto the soldier's sleeve, beginning to form a sheet of ice across his coat arm. The soldier jumped back as a giant arm came swiping at him. As he retreated the ice on his coat continued to grow, the soldier rushed to remove the garment. The bartender let out a terrified gasp as she saw the soldier’s torso. Several patches of flesh were missing, revealing the muscles underneath but the wounds were not bleeding. It was as if they were already healed and left the muscles exposed. The soldier seemed unbothered by his state and charged towards the giant and Eve.
Meanwhile Crystal had come out from behind the bar and tried to locate Toht. The man had hid himself as soon as his soldier was causing a distraction. If it wasn’t for Crystal’s enhanced reaction speed she would have missed the brief flash of black that signalled Toht, behind a pillar. She managed to move out of the way just before he popped out and fired his pistol. His poor aim sent the shot far from where Crystal had been.

“Don’t make this harder than it has to be” Crystal tried to reason “Your soldier isn’t going to save you”
“That’s what you think” Toht spat
“That's what i know” Crystal sighed “Do you think we came here alone?”
“Since when did the Nazi’s have super soldiers?” Louie asked annoyed
“The movie changed” Elijah grumbled “Welcome to every damn day of my life”
The duo sat on the roof of a nearby building, posed to watch the tavern through its windows. Dawn sat behind them, a small cooler of snacks and drinks lay next to her.
“Super soldiers are from another movie correct?” Dawn asked innocently
“Captain America” Elijah said “Who originated during world war II”
“Another crossover?” Louie asked
“I’ll contact Lance” Elijah sighed “he’ll want to hear about this. I swear if he makes us fight the fucking Avengers”
Carefully adjusting her sniper, Louie tried to get the soldier in her crosshairs but he jumped out of sight from the window.
“Be quick” Louie ordered “I need a clear image of inside the bar”
Inside the bar Eve tried again to catch the soldier with a spear of ice, needing to pin the agile fighter. The soldier deftly ducked under the speer and ran past Eve. Jumping over the spread of ice she sent after him, the soldier reached the giant. The large monster swiped at the soldier attempting to pin him to the ground. The icy floor worked against the soldier as he attempted to jump but lost his friction, allowing the giant to pin the super soldier’s legs beside the fireplace.
“Dammit” Toht cursed as his soldier was caught. The commander stood still as Crystal kept her gun aimed at him. After firing and missing all of his rounds, Toht had no choice but to follow Crystal.
“Now start talking about him” Crystal demanded “What is he?”
Toht glared at Crystal “He is a failure”
Turning to the pinned super soldier, Toht shouted “Prüfung! Get me out of here!”
Prüfung nodded and grabbed a fire poker from the fireplace as the giant’s other hand fell on him. The giant’s roar of pain shook the walls of the tavern, sending dust and sand falling from the ceiling. The giant’s grip loosen from the pain and Prüfung broke free from it’s grasp.
As the soldier stood the doors to the tavern burst open, Josh and Logan ran in ready to fight. Seeing the new enemies the soldier dashed towards Crystal and Toht. Crystal fired at the approaching soldier but he was unfazed by the landing bullets. In a flash he was in front of the duo and with a powerful shove he sent Toht flying back through the bar and out a window. At the same time spikes of ice shot up from the floor impaling the soldier before he could reach Crystal.
Shouting could be heard outside where Toht had broken through the window. Logan ran to the sound while Josh ran to Eve and Crystal. Eve melted the ice allowing Crystal to move safely from the soldier’s corpse.
“Everyone okay?” Josh asked
“Nothing major,” Crystal said.
“I’m only bruised up” Eve said “I’ll heal quickly”
“He got away” Logan said, walking back into the room “Another soldier was waiting and carried him away”
Shouting sounded from the front of the bar, where Ravenwood had found Indiana Jones. The two were arguing viscously about the soldiers crashing her bar.
“The medallion” Eve pointed at the arguing couple.
Ravenwood was waving the amulet in her hand as she shouted.
“Grab it” Logan ordered, dashing forward.
The dragonslayer was just a second too late as Indiana snatched the amulet from Ravenwood’s hand. The watch on the player’s wrist beeped.
