《My Hermit Life》Chapter 58 - Solomon's Discovery ( SS )

It was about a month after Solomon started training the kids that he came upon a massive discovery that could resurrect an ancient magic system. He discovered it by playing around one day after watching Naruto. It was when he was pretending to be a ninja and was throwing around ninjutsus like crazy that he discovered one of the finger movements seemed to cause a reaction in the ambient Mana. After a little testing Solomon looked up the rest of the Naruto hand symbols to see if any of the other ones could also cause a reaction. Sadly other than the Horse symbol none of the other twelve hand movements caused any reaction, but Solo didn't give up; instead he spent over a month trying tens of thousands of different hand movements. When he finally recorded them all down he then got to work flowing them all together; another month later Solomon thought he could finally perform the magic that would be caused by flowing all of the hand signs together. He theorised and studied for three more months before the other two girls showed up trying to find out what the magic would be. Sadly he couldn't find any record of such a type of ritual and gave up. Instead he started trying to see if he could create different types of effects, this would mean he would have to complete the original magic which he wanted the girls to be there when he did. So he held off and decided that he could wait, to occupy himself Solomon focused more on training the kids.
Three months after Solomon discovered the magic Loretta and Deam showed up at nearly the exact same time, Solomon and Gabby both thought it was eerie how close they were.
" So why did you two call this meeting? I'm really close to finishing this really tough battle and I don't have much time. "
" Same. "
It seemed both Loretta and Deam were having trouble in recent wars.
" We wanted to inform the both of you that the preparations are done and that we should be taking down that bastard within the month. To be honest we could have already attacked but we have been solidifying the plans and all that. "

" That's great! "
" Congrat's Gabby! When are you two going to attack him? "
" We don't have an exact date set but it will definitely be sometime this month. "
While the girls were talking Solomon was sitting back not talking at all, very unusual for the boisterous loud mouth who almost never shuts up.
" Alright what's up with you babe, the last time you were this quite is that time Sande( Skyddsande, Solomon's daughter ) scratched the remake of your Harley chopper. "
" IT WAS MCLAREN ORANGE AND IT TOOK ME TWELVE YEARS TO MAKE THAT DAMN BIKE! ' Ahem ' Sorry, anyway I have a little show that I want ya'll to see. "
The girls just nodded and said to get on with it, completely unfazed by his outrage. They had gotten used to it from the hundred years he cried over that bike being scratched real bad.
Solomon just tearfully glared at the girls before beginning the ritual.
When he started the symbols despite seemingly random flowed together in a manner that seemed to connect with the universe. Gabby and the girls couldn't believe what they were seeing. The simple beauty of the flowing Mana that surrounded Solomon's hands as he continued performing the hand signs was truly a unique scene. Gabrielle was the most mesmerized by Solomon's performance, for she could see the underlying grace and sophistication of the hand symbols. Gabby had grown up in a clan known throughout the universe for their magical prowess couldn't recognize what Solomon was doing which was something that truly annoyed her while awakening her scholarly sense. She also knew what it meant for her to not recognize the art, Solomon either discovered a long lost Magical Art or he created one.
It took around thirty seconds for Solomon to finish weaving all of the hand symbols together. When he flashed the last hand signal a wave of condensed Mana flew out from his hands before imploding onto the hands. After the implosion all of the Mana with in thirty miles of Solomon started to be sucked towards him. This meant that whatever magic was being activated it was a big one.
It took an even minute for all of the Mana to condense and then activate. With the activation of the magic a green and gray portal opened up behind Solomon. The portal fluctuated for another minute before it stabilized at a whopping thirty feet tall and thousand feet wide. Not long after the portal stabilized twenty tree like beings walked out of it. That twenty soon became forty, and then sixty, and then eighty, and then one-hundred. That kept going until eventually an even one-thousand and one giant treants revealed themselves.

Solomon, Deam, Gabby, and Loretta all pulled out weapons because they were expecting a battle to commence. Fortunately what the anticipated did not come to fruit, instead all of the treants bowed in the direction of Solomon, except one. This one was the largest of the of the treants and he stood at a massive fifty feet tall, he was also the most uniquely colored of the trees. Most of the treants were black and green with multiple root like legs and two surprisingly human hands, they were all also wielding wooden spears that looked to be connected to them. ( Think of Trevenant from pokemon. ) The biggest treant however had a completely solid wood color, he was completely carbonized as though he had gone against the heavens countless times. He also wielded a shield in one of his four human like hands while one of his other hands held a spear, another a hammer, and the last a whip.
After a few seconds of walking this treant stood in front of Solomon.
" Summoner we live to battle with you. "
All four of the Legendary Beasts were surprised before Solomon stepped up and took charge.
" Please explain? "
The treant general looked about as surprised as a fifty foot magical tree could before he seemed to realize the situation.
" I see, it seems the last of our royal line had died out. "
Upon this statement the treant grounded all of his weapons into the ground before using all twenty of his fingers to cross them into an unbelievably complicated symbol that couldn't be completed without almost rubber like fingers.
" Explain. "
" ' Sigh ' I am a general of the Battle Tree Race, we are a race that was connected all across the multiverse. Our army could only be called upon by the emperor . . . . . seeing as you aren't a tree it is clear our race is dead except for us. This means that we are the last of our kind and you are our new leader. "
" If you are the army of a race that spanned the multiverse then surely you could choose not to take my orders. I mean I don't want to give up a powerful army but I would rather not take a chance of having you guys kill me for trying to rule all of you. "
" At one point that would have been true, sadly we have spent to long in our summon dimension and our powers have waned. I can at most match you in a fight, using these soldiers we could probably take you and your friends, but for one that's to much trouble and for two I can tell you are the ruler of this universe. . . . I am an ancient general of what was once an extremely powerful race, I know what battles I can win. "
" Soooo does that mean I can summon you guys whenever I want? Do you have to be in that dimension to be summoned or what? "
" We have to be in a seperate to be summoned. Yes you can summon us whenever you want, but please don't summon us just to get you food or something though, we've had that happened before. "
After that Solomon conversed with the general who explained the history of his race. Apparently the Battle Tree Race originated in the same race as the Ancient Dragons and were pretty friendly. The race was made up of one family, weak ones would become cannon fodder, strong ones would become, a Pre General, New General, Acting General, General, Ancient General, Royal. In order to become a Royal one would have to be at least the third generation in a line of royals and have to have shown amazing aptitude for 1v1 battle, war, and magics. The fellow that Solomon summoned was an Ancient General who could have easily been the most talented Royal of his generation sadly his ancestors weren't royals.
