《My Hermit Life》Chapter 54

Outside of a grand city the size of which could easily dwarf both of the cities Solomon had robbed before. This city was host to a secret battle between a female dragon posing as a human and a human scholar trying to become a ruler. Of course few of the residents of the city actually knew the nature of the battle of that there was a battle at all.
After the meeting Solomon started to rush towards Gabbies partly because she was struggling pretty bad and partly because he wanted to hurry towards Loretta. There was also the fact that Solomon needed to start leveling up since he wanted to get back to working out.
During his time out of the forest Solomon had tried becoming a theif, he soon learned that he wasn't fit to be a theif. So he decided he was going to level up and get stronger so that he could straight up rob someone instead of being all sneaky like. He also thought about how much he missed his wife when he wasn't near her so he made a back up plan to be a formation expert for her army. The problem with him leveling up though is that he would have to frequently go back and forth between his masters secret realm and Loretta's army.
As Solomon was thinking he was walking towards the building Gabbie had set up for him. The building was supposed to be like an inn for adventurers, but it was actually a cover for Gabby's gang.
As Solomon was walking around he was getting looks from men and women alike. This was because of his confident persona as well as his body that an adonis would be jealous. It also helped that he lightning sparks shooting out of his eyes. Solomon of course was happy to be getting checked out and would occasionally send winks and smiles at men and women. He wasn't gay to send the winks to guys, just really polite.
Eventually Solomon got to the inn where he met up with the disguised Gabrielle.
Gabby was disguised as a petite girl who looked to be around twenty years old. She had long flowing black hair that hung down to her mid back. Her face wasn't anything special though it did have girl next door feeling. Her hips were pleasently wide with a thin weist to match her tiny breasts. Like her hair Gabbies eyes were a nearly black color that seemed to be like the lack of light.
" Couldn't you have picked a less conspicuos persona, I mean come one we're trying to be low-key? "
" I could of but then I wouldn't be portraying my true nature. Besides it's not like there aren't muscular dudes roaming about. "

" Whatever, follow me you'll be staying inside of my house until you leave. Do you have a plan for dealing with that peice of shit? "
" Of course, I'll tell you when we get to your house. "
" All right. "
With that Solomon and Gabby left with Gabby leading Solomon to her residence. She lead Solomon through alleyways, betting houses, brothels, even gang fights. Solomon learned that most of the casinos and brothels were owned by Gabby. The gang fights were over territory and and property.
Gabby lived in the good part of the city so they soon had to leave the slummy areas of the city. This lead them to the decent areas of the city including clothing shops, formation shops, homes, restraunts, and many other shops and homes.
Eventually they reached the really rich part of the city where any shops could only be shopped at by nobles and all of the houses owned slaves and quite a bit of land. Eventually they reached Gabbies mansion which Solomon was surprised to discover was within casual walking distance of the royal family's personal mansion; that was where the princes and princesses of the along with the concubines lived. Apparently Gabby was pretty friendly with some of the princesses and had even been asked out by some of the princes.
When the duo reached Gabby's mansion Solomon discovered that the entire property was covered in formations. Even more than his old bases, though the formations weren't as high leveled. Solomon would of course change that during his stay.
" So tell me your plan to deal with the scholar, by the way his name is Nath. "
" Then I plan on first joining your organization as a rising talent. I'll spend a few months rising the ranks before I reach out to him and his people acting like I want to betray you for them. I will then offer up some formations that I say an expert in your organization developed, nothing special but still decent. Eventually when they trust me enough I will find a way to trick Nath in walking into a trap. "
" Simple, but it might work. I want you to use your current form when joining my people since you have already visited my residence. "
" Alright then I'm going to get to work on your formations. "
Gabby seemed to be confused by this and couldn't help but cock her head in a cute way.
" Why? "
" Two reasons, first, the formations you have set up are pretty crappy, no offense. Second, somebody messed with your formations and they could easily use those mess-ups to infiltrate you home. "

Gabby seems surprised before nodding her head, after that she says once sentence before she walks off.
" Alright please fix that, I'm going to deal with my side. "
Solomon could tell that Gabby was pissed so he just let her leave while he got to work.
The first thing Solomon did was to delete all of the crappy formations using an intricate method he developed for himself to use when he wants to delete his own formations. Usually the formation isn't used for large scale use but it isn't like Solomon can't improvise. Once Solomon deleted all of the formations he pulled out one of the portable formation plate that he had inscribed with nearly 100,000 formations. Of course that was only to tide over until Solomon could set up the formations he wanted.
He started by laying a barrier that covered the entire property even inside of the buildings and underground. After that he thought up some blueprints that had been saved in his Omni-present Library. After that he started manipulating the barrier to make inlays of runes, and then he made the barrier act like certain ingredients which he used to fuel the formations.
All in all it took Solomon around eight hours of constant work to lay down formations that fit his standards. In the end he condensed down all of the new formations to add convience for Gabby.
When Solomon was done he went into Gabby's mansion he found where she was using his Divine Sense. She was sitting in a dark cellar mafia boss style while a middle aged man is kneeling in front of her.
When Solomon arrived he entered the room using his ghost transformation. The scene he arrived to was one that truly surprised him.
" So you're telling me that you accidentally left a way for someone to secretly invade my mansion? DO YOU THINK I'M STUPID?! Or are you a fucking retard? ( A few seconds of deep threatening breathing ) You have one minute to give me a reason not to kill you. "
" Master I promise to properly fix your formations, I swear not to mess up this time. "
" No need I have a real formation master. Forty Seconds. "
When the middle aged man heard Gabby's words he truly became worried. He hadn't expected that Gabrielle would find out that he sabotaged nor did he think she would hire someone capable of fixing said sabotage. Apparently the middle aged man was one of the best formation masters and all of the other ones either worked for Nath or the royal family. When he heard that Gabby discovered his sabotage he hadn't actually been that nervous and figured that Gabby would only scare him a little.
" Master I can't believe you found someone willing to work for you that could fix my mistake. Can I at least learn their name? "
" Are you truly so stupid to doubt me only seconds before your death. I mean I've had people beg, ridicule, cry, and even cuss at me, but I have never met an idiot who would worry about their reputation. "
Gabby having spoken just shook her head before standing up from her chair. The middle aged man seemed to think he was let off of the hook, but he soon learned he wasn't.
" Kill him, you know where to dispose him. "
The middle aged man started to freak out and right as he was about to start begging one of the six guards in the room walked up and slit his throat. The man slowly struggled on the floor while bleeding out. The last thing he saw in his last few spasming seconds of life was Gabbies petite body saunter off.
Solomon just followed along after Gabby while she walked to what he assumed was her bed room. When Gabby walked into her room the two guards that had been following her posted up on either side of her door. Solomon just flew through the closed door.
When he entered he saw Gabby transform back into a dragon before laying down on her over sized doggy bed. Dog beds seemed to be popular among dragons. When he transformed back into his original form Gabby seemed to sense him and suddenly jumped, she had multiple spells prepared before her body was even fully un-coiled.
" Woah woah woah, chill Gabs it's just me. "
Gabby just gave a deep breath before she layed back down on her bed. Then she looked at Solomon with the glare of one thousand suns.
" How'd you do that, I didn't sense you at all until you made your self physical. "
" I used a self created skill called Ghost Transformation. I made it based off of the 72 Transformations race skill. Using this skill I could more than easily rob everybody I wanted, thought I very rarely used it. "
" Hm, do you think you could teach me? "
" I can try sis, but I seriously doubt you'll be able to learn it. "
" Then let's get to it. "
" Sure. "

Lifestones of Lebreima
Lottica and Nick probably could have dealt with the sudden death of their parents. They probably really could have coped. IF. IF they hadn't had to deal with foreign grandparents who wanted to whisk them off to Lebreima, a small Old World country thousands of miles away from their friends and neighbors. IF they weren't being pursued by a sinister figure in a cape (a cape of all things!) who may have killed their parents. IF, in the ruins of their house, Lottica and Nick hadn't found what their dad had hidden there, along with secrets that were about to change the universe as they knew it. IF (and this deserves the all caps) THEIR DEAD PARENTS HAD JUST STAYED DEAD.

8 108The Exodus Project
This is the original version of Origin before I rewrote it. It's much more simpler, some names and personalities are a little different. THere's nowhere near as much back story or character development/interaction. But the story is essentially at the end of book one. I wrote this 15 odd years ago, and with a bit of polish it doesn't look too bad. The story like Origin is about a group of college students who find a ship that is the last remnant of an ancient human space faring civilisation, they fix her up and go back into space. Along they way they'll meet alot of aliens, religious fundamentalists and conmen.
