《My Hermit Life》Chapter 39

' Alright well I have helped Gabby and her kids learn Sound Magic, I have taught Deam and her kids Root Life Art, I built Lorettas kids a special gun each, and I have given my kids some nice new totems. I just dont know what to do. '
This is everybodys favorite Dragon Monkey trying to think of new training he can do.
' I can start studying Dao but I already have some insights into the Strength Dao so I probably cant advance a bunch before the training ends. I am always doing my Mastery trick by self hypnotising myself, I am also training enchantments as well as magic using the same method. Im kind of bored of crafting practice, though I have been thinking of building myself a motorcycle or car. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm . . . . . . . screw it Im just gonna sleep on it. '
Soon after that Solomon went to sleep. Of course he used Dream Magic on himself so that he is still practicing magics and enchantments.
A few hours later Solomon woke up and he had an enlightened look on his face.
' I finally know what I am gonna do. I am going to do something all self respecting Gods do, Im gonna make some techniques. I have already made some combined techniques and one technique back when I had extreme enlightenment from creating the totem. Now the only problem is thinking of what techniques I want to create. Lets see . . . . the first technique I want to create. '
" Ooo I know! Im gonna make a web shooting technique like spidermans super power. "
' I was always envious of spidermans web shooting. Now I actually have the chance to use it for myself. '
And with that Solomon started studying all of the web shooting creatures Loretta had made. Most of them were spiders but not all of them. Solomons favorite creature was a bush that would trap animals with webs and then slowly suck the blood out of them. After 3 years of watching various creatures Solomon determined that he would have to either change his body to shoot webs. Or he would have to make a creation technique that could make his own webs out of Mana. Eventually Solomon decided to go with the later choice and so he set out to make such a technique.
His first choice was to try and make a technique that could summon pre-made webs.Solo knew that that would be an inconvient technique to use. So he went in a different direction started to study creation techniques from his allies as well as ones he won in the arena. In order to use creation techniques one would usually have to change Mana to a certain attribute and then release the Mana so that the Mana can then make itself physical. The biggest problem with that is 1. The thing created doesnt usually last long except in certain circumstances. 2. The thing created is usually very weak. 3. Solomon wouldnt have any propulsion to use the technique in battle.

But Solomon knew he was headed in the right direction. All he really needed was a way to create the webs itself. Meaning that if he wanted he could increase the durability of the webs, or the stickiness of the webs, or even give the webs an attribute. Thankfully Solomon knew exactly the technique he needed. The technique was a race skill of the God Monkeys that Solomon had never learned. The technique was a skill that would allow the user to take on the appearence and even attributes of whatever creature they turn into.
The reason Solomon never learned it is because he didnt try to learn through the DNA Memories. After that Solomon spent three years to learn the technique and get it to Max Mastery a few times. It then took Solomon 8 years to create, detail, and then master his web shooting technique.
Now all Solomon wanted to do is show off.
" Hey, Deam, check out my new technique I created. "
Solomon said that to Deam who was working out on his old workout platform. Deam gave him a gesture to continue.
The first thing Solomon did is use it to pull himself up onto the platform. He looked at Deams face to see her reaction but despite his expected face she looked passive. Thinking nothing of it Solomon then made a hammoc between two pillars which he then laed in. She still looked passive. He then lifted a few weights up onto the platform. She. Still. Looked. Passive. Eventually Solomon couldnt take it anymore.
" What the hell why do you look like you are looking at a kid sword fighting? "
" I dont know it just isnt that cool. Dont get me wrong its a great technique considering its the first one youve created, but it seems kind of pointless. "
" Oh. "
Deam felt bad seeing his sad look and tried conforting him.
" Actually now that I think about it could you please teach me? I think it would be a great technique for setting up a pre battle ambush. Or sorting supplies. This would actually be a great miltary technique.
Hearing that Solomons face showed an expression happier than a boy whos crush said yes when he asked her out. After that Solomon spent a year teaching not only Deam but also Skyddsud, Skyddsande, Fear, Rean, and Wahine. He forced his own children to learn, Deam forced her kids to learn and Wahine asked to learn of her her volition. When Deam actually learned the technique she was genuinely surprised by how handy it could be. She also learned that the web could be changed to have different attributes or be stronger as well as other things.

After that Solomon was asked by all the other kids to teach them and Loretta also wanted to be taught. So Solomon spent another year to teach them all. When he was done teaching them all Solomon set up a massive game of tag. The area they would play in was the size of three football fields. The area was also filled with trees for great manuverability.
Solomon was voted to be first by his group. Solomon gave all of them a thirty second head start. When he could finaaly begin the chase Solomon used some super elastic web to slingshot himself forward at an extreme speed. The first target to enter his sight his sight was his own son Skyddsud. If it was one of the other children Solomon would have chased them a little before giving up because he wouldnt want to bully them. Since it was his child though Solomon went hard trying to catch him. Solomon threaded the needle between trees, sling shotted, and even pulled Sud back. Before catching him after an intense 10 minute chase.
When Solomon finally brushed Sud with his hand he launched himself away faster than a fan boy chasing their favorite idol. He even up rooted trees using the webs after sling shotting away.
That of course was only the start of it all. Sud hunted down Fear who hunted down Boireann who hunted down Fear. After alot of back and forth between the children Skyddsande was able to hunt down Gabby tahnks to a little bit of chance. That was when the game really got serious, because Gabby hunted Deam who hunted Solo who after alot of trouble and tactics finally got Loretta. At that point the games seperated to be kids versus kids and adults versus adults. The adults were ripping up trees and destroying the earth. While the kids were being civilized and just having fun. After around three hours of fun the entire group decided to have a nice family dinner of Steak, mashed potatoes, various greens, rice, pork, and lastly some nice snake.
After all of that Solomon was back to his origonal predicament of not having anything to do. He wanted to create another technique but he didnt know which kind to make. It was while he was thinking that Solomon was looking at his Status Screen and he relized that he had a ton of Skills. Solomon at that moment to make a library/ management skill. In order to make it Solomon needed inspiration as well as a method.
For his inspiration Solomon decieded to go with the library from the novel Library of He***ns Path. That novel was never Solomons favorite but he did like the system. Solomon had learnt one library technique many years ago in preperation for his Omnipresent Mind skill. So he did have a little but of a method to create the technique.
After that Solomon spent 50 years trying to create the technique. The reason for this is because he recieved enlightenment on his library technique about 12 years into creating it. This lead to Solomon trying to create the most perfect technique he could. And eventually Solomon created something nearly OP. The technique he created allows Solomon to take any skill and store it into mental files. Doing this allows Solomon to do his Mastery trick infinitely without having to recreate skills to get rid of a certain one. He can do the same thing with
combo skills allowing Solomon to do the Mastery trick on those as well. The technique also stores all of his memories and allows him to access them anytime he wants. Solomon even added a fancy search bar to make things easier to look up. Not only can the technique store skills, magics, memories, and enchants, it can also store any ideas for later testing if Solomon needs to.
When Solomon was done with this skill he decided to take a break for a few years before creating any thing new.

Apex Immortal: a LitRPG system rampage
"Across the multiverse where the contest for power is the only constant, only a handful have succeeded in reaching the ultimate heights of ascendency and gained the title Apex Immortal. Dominus is one of them, unsurpassed in overwhelming violence, feared across universes. Now, memories locked and stranded far away from everything he’d built, Dominus will face enemies that will challenge even his powers and discover that change is more difficult than destruction." I’ve been writing fiction on and off for the last decade and I’ve always wondered how a peak immortal (or an OP superhero) would single handedly conquer a world that mirrors our own in all of its complexity. As a politics nerd, this is my attempt at answering that question using Machiavelli’s “The Prince” as the primary playbook. The “monsters” are entire political systems with entrenched culture. Expect many versions of real world political systems (and cultures) to be on the hit list. The MC has to successfully institute regime and cultural change without engaging in wholesale genocide and causing the state to fail. Expect things to go wrong pretty quickly as escalating and cascading political and economic effects rapidly go out of control. Methods deployed are not for the faint hearted.
