《The summoner》New Powers And A Second Chance

Jack’s body was floating in the space, he wasn’t moving but after few seconds he opened his eyes. Jack couldn’t remember anything but after sometime he realized what had happened. He looked at his chest but there was no injury, he looked around and found himself floating in some kind of space.
“Where am I?” Jack muttered.
“Idiot, Come over here.” Someone shouted angrily.
Jack looked around and saw the old man that had given him the power; he tried moving towards the old man but couldn’t move an inch. The old man saw that Jack wasn’t able to move so he ran and came towards Jack and he looked very annoyed.
“You idiot, you died so soon.”
“I am dead.” Jack asked puzzled.
“Even I will die if I get stabbed in the heart.” The old man shouted.
“Master, I thought you were very powerful but I didn’t expect a knife wound can kill you.”
“That was just an example you idiot, a knife wouldn’t be able to touch my body and even if I did get stabbed I have healing abilities.” The old man smiled.
“Master, please tell me, Am I really dead?” Jack asked in a pleading tone.
“If you were dead, you wouldn’t be here.”
Jack was very happy when he heard that he wasn’t dead, he felt relaxed and calm. You could see the smile on his face; the old man shook his head and smiled.
“Stop smiling and listen carefully. You survived but you won’t have the powers like you did before, your life was saved by the system that I created. It gave its energy to save you and now some part of it is damaged permanently and even I can’t repair it.”
“Master, because of me your creation was destroyed and I am very sorry about that so even if I don’t have any abilities I won’t regret it.”

“Who said you won’t have powers.” The old man smiled.
“Master, thank you.” Jack bowed.
“No need to thank me, after all you are my successor.”
“Master this time I will make sure that no matter what powers I have I will use it properly and become the strongest there is in the earth.” Jack shouted.
“You thought is too small, as my successor you have to be the strongest in the universe.” The old man shouted.
“Yes Master.”
“Now listen, although the system is damaged you still will have very strong abilities. As a summoner now you will summon animals or beasts, who will help you get strong. I will also help you establish a contract with magic spirits and give you some powers.”
“Yes Master, thank you for your kindness and for believing in me.”
“Close your eyes; I will help you establish a contract.” The old man took out a piece of paper from nowhere that had unknown writings on it.
Jack closed his eyes and waited, the old man put the paper at Jack’s feet and said, “Clear your mind and don’t think anything, after sometime you will see an opened door, you have to walk through it.”
Jack cleared his mind and stood still, after few seconds he saw a black door that was open. He did as his master said and walked through it.
“Open your eyes.” The old man said.
“Is that all.” Jack asked.
“You have established a contract with the element darkness. Elements can change your personality so you have to be careful.” The old man warned.
Jack saw that the paper that he had seen earlier was now black in color; he nodded and said, “I will be careful Master.”
“You have to find out yourself on how to use the darkness magic, each individuals use it differently.”

“Alright Master.”
“Do you want me to replace Sally with someone else to help you?” The old man asked.
“No, I will choose Sally.”
“Are you sure? You know if Sally had let you enter inside the space you wouldn’t have died, you wouldn’t have lost your powers.” The old man said.
“No, Sally has nothing to do with it. It was a mistake on my side.” Jack smiled.
“Looks like you aren’t corrupted by the darkness.” The old man smiled.
“What do you mean?” Jack asked.
“I said earlier that elements change personality and darkness element is the most dangerous one. It increases the negativity, anger and dark emotions within you, if you had been corrupted then you would have blamed Sally for your mistakes and ask for replacement. You have to be careful and control your emotions.” The old man said.
“Yes Master, I will.”
“This is the last time we will meet, if you have serious injury next time I won’t be able to help you so try to rope in the healer girl. Use the darkness to control her. Oh yes and Sally will tell you in detail about your new powers.”
“Thank you for everything Master.” Jack touched the old man’s feet.
“It’s time for you to go.” The old man smiled.
A bright light forced Jack to close his eyes and after sometime when he opened his eyes he saw a white ceiling. He found himself in a bed and he was in a room, he got up from the bed and looked around. He didn’t recognize the room; he didn’t know where he was so he was cautious. He heard some noises coming from outside and before he could hide the door opened.
“Oh! You are awake.” A girl’s voice said.
Jack looked at her for few seconds and tried to remember her name. He knew that she was the killer girl that he met but he couldn’t remember her name, so there was silence in the room for few seconds. Jack wasn’t sure why he was here so he asked her.
“Why am I here?”
“I found you unconscious near my house so I brought you here.” Carmila said.
Jack tried to use the identify skill but he wasn’t able to use it, he decided to ask Sally about this later. Jack didn’t want to stay here as he had to get his mother out of the space as well and get to know his new powers.
“Listen I know who and what you are, so don’t say that you saved me out of kindness. I want to know the real reason.” Jack glared at her.
Carmila smiled, she came and sat at the bed. “I was curious about you so I followed you around but I didn’t expect to see such a great battle. And now I am very curious about your power, if my guess is correct then you must have space abilities.”
“So what if I have it, what do you want from me?”
“You, I want you to be my partner.” Carmila said.
“Find someone else.” Jack stood up and left the room.
Carmila was stunned, she didn't expect Jack to refuse her but instead of being angry she was smiling.
"I will make you join me."
Jack got out from the house and looked around, it really was the lotus area and Edward’s house was few minutes of walk from here. Jack hurried and left Carmilas house as he had to take out his mother from the space but more importantly he had to know about his new powers.

Letters from a Dying World
Times historic are often penned after the fact in the lifeblood of the pitiful, forgotten masses. That roiling, uncountable crush of humanity, they who held the pikes and they who threw down the tyrants. Their veins opened by gazes academic, sharp and cruel, and pecked away at with quills, written out of their own story. The Second Dark Crusade was a time of such poignancy. A time when the light of man waned and flickered, choking in the acrid smoke of its own inadequacy. As befitting of such an age it has been covered more than a capital whore, and so I attempt not to tell that story again. That story of dull, unfeeling analysis. Neither here will you find the browbeating, propagandistic screeds so common in the hands of men, the light of youth still burning behind their eyes. Nay, here I shall attempt to cover fresh ground, not tread on the grave dirt of long dead authors. Here I shall attempt to tell the story of the small lives caught, unbeknownst to them, in the great and torrential downpour that we now call history. Here lies the true story of The Second Crusade. - Loremaster Ip'Qal
