Jack took a chair with him and entered the space, he then sat in front of Hari and said, “I’ll ask questions and you will answer them Hari.”

Jack stood up and slapped him, “I ask questions not you.”

Jack sat down and said, “Tell me about your group?”

Jack waited for few seconds but he didn’t get any answers so he stood up and picked up the knife. Jack knelt in front of Hari and grabbed his broken hand, after that he chopped off an inch of his index finger.

Hari nodded and decided to tell everything, he was really scared. He wanted to die peacefully without torture.

Jack sat back and said, “Then, tell me everything about you and your group.”

“I am a member of Spades, the 4 people that were with me work under me. Spades recruits people that have special ability, if people refuse to join then they are killed. There are around 500 members and they all follow the orders of the 4 Kings, my group works for the Black King of Spades.”

Jack yawned as he was very tired, he fought a lot today and killed more than 10 people. He exited from the space and went to sleep.

Jack woke up after hearing the knock at the door; he got off from the bed and opened the door.

“It’s already 9, go and wash your face. The breakfast is ready.” Mary shouted.

Jack washed his face and went to have breakfast, after having breakfast his mother was ready to open the shop so he had to go with her.

Jack nodded and didn’t ask any other questions, they had called Shyam but he had left the city. So Jack had to stay at the shop as his mother was at the kitchen cooking, Jack was thinking on what to do when he remembered the talk with Rex. He quickly called Rex.

Jack took out his school book and began to study for his exams, after 10 minutes Rex called Jack.

Jack ended the call and began to study the book, after few hours at the shop he was getting bored. He looked outside when he saw a familiar figure approaching the store. It was Harry the one that warned him about Rex. Jack came out from the shop and stopped him.

“What are you doing here?” Jack asked.

Harry smiled and said, “You are one brave fellow. You didn’t even run away.”

Jack took out 10000 rupees from the space and gave it to him, Harry took it without hesitation.

Harry nodded and went away, Jack was about to enter inside the shop when he heard a familiar voice.

Jack looked back and saw Sam but he was not alone, Lisa was also with him. Their injuries were almost healed.

“What are you doing here Sam? I warned you not to approach me.” Jack said with anger in his eyes.

Sam smiled and said, “I came here as a friend but if I am not welcome then I will leave.”

Jack turned back and went inside the shop, Sam also went towards the shop but he was grabbed by Lisa.

“Where are you going? He didn’t say to come in.” Lisa said worriedly.

“I know him very well; if he doesn’t speak then it means that he has agreed.”

Sam and Lisa entered inside the shop, Jack pointed at a table and said, “Sit over there.”

Jack entered inside the kitchen and called his mother, after few minutes Mary came out with tea.

Mary smiled and said, “Sam, How have you been?”

“I am well Aunty” Sam replied politely.

“Is she your girlfriend?” Mary said looking at Lisa.

“No, she is just a friend.”

“You talk with Jack; I will go and buy some things in the market.” Mary said.

After few minutes Mary left, Jack closed the shop and sat down to talk with Sam.

‘Tell me, Why you came here?” Jack asked.

“I request you to protect Mr. Edward and Sara.” Sam stood up and bowed.

“No I won’t.” Jack refused without hesitation.

“You are friends with Sara aren’t you?” Sam shouted.

 Jack put his fingers near his lips and said, “Don’t shout.”

Sam calmed down; he sat down and said, “Why?”

Jack shrugged and said, “I don’t want to risk my life for a girl.”

“I never knew that you were so heartless and selfish. I am disappointed in you Jack.” Sam said with a sad voice.

“I don’t care about your opinion, besides everyone is selfish and heartless.”

“Who are you referring to?” Sam asked.

“The old man, Sara, you. You knew that they were coming yet you organized a party and involved the people to act as a shield. If I hadn’t killed the one guarding the door then there would be death of many children, woman and men that were there just to enjoy the party.” Jack said calmly.

Sam and Lisa didn’t look at the face of Jack because what he said was correct. Jack wasn’t a hero and he would kill people but he would never involve innocent people in his fight.

“You can leave now.” Jack stood up and opened the door.

Sam and Lisa were about to leave when Jack asked, “When are they coming?”

Sam looked back and said, “We have information that they will attack after 4 days.”

Jack nodded; Sam and Lisa left the shop and went away. Lisa stooped Sam and asked, “He was silent again, and does that mean he will help us?”

Sam scratched his hair and said, “I am not sure.”

Lisa had a serious look, “If he doesn’t help then we will die.”
