Prologue: Welcome to God's Dimension

Opening his eyes, Michael immediately felt that something was wrong. This ceiling....I don't recognize it.... Where am I?
"He's awake! Jack, Miria, come over! The last newbie is up!"
If Michael was still sleepy after waking up that shouting took care of that. The voice was loud, not only was it loud but it boomed like someone rigged up one to many speakers and placed the microphone right next to a bomb testing site; a loud commanding voice that could wake up even the dead.
The shock immediately snapped Michael awake and his body reacted before his mind was done processing the situation. He brought himself to a half-crouch half-stand position and, without looking he threw a punch at where he thought the voice came from. To his surprise his fist only met empty air. The person he expected to hit was nowhere to be seen.
Immediately, Michael felt a massive force impact his stomach, he could feel the weight behind the punch and he knew if he didn't cushion the blow somehow there was a high chance he'd end up with more than just a regular injury. He leapt back trying to reduce as much force as possible and it worked; sorta. Apparently the room he was in was smaller that he thought, and his leap back coupled with the residual force of the blow sent him crashing right into the wall behind him.
"Get over here guys! The last one actually has some fight in him! You better hurry though, Miria. I might have hit the newb to hard...." The loud voice spoke again. This time though the voice sounded...different it sounded like it was.....amused?
Being thrown against the wall caused intense pain and that wasn't even adding the pain Michael felt coming from where he'd just been hit. It was agonizing—it felt like getting hit by a truck, or at least that's how he would think being hit by a truck would feel like. His lungs burned with each breath he took, his chest felt like it was being stabbed from the inside by countless needles, and his belly throbbed with pain like the instrument of a psychotic drummer.
Michael could feel the bile and vomit rising, he clasped his hands over his mouth to stem the flow but it surged out like relentless waves. The sound of his own wrenching was the only thing Michael could hear. It felt as though he was puking up his insides—that each surge of bile and vomit was dragging up more and more of him as they escaped his mouth in a torrent.
"Geez, Vic. Do you need to be so loud? Even if we don't mind, your voice can damage the newbies. I don't know about you but I sure as hell ain't lugging around a bunch of deaf idiots again." The new voice was female—that was all Michael was able to make out, the pain he was in was taking over the majority of his senses.

"Nonsense Miria! Those guys were weak! I've got good feeling about this batch. These ones are much stronger! They might even be able join the main team!"
Again, came the booming voice that belonged to Vic, and Michael in his current state felt his insides rattle even more knocking free another torrent of bile and vomit. Michael cursed his captors as he rolled in his own waste whilst clutching his sides. What had happened to him? Why was the origin of the voice able to inflict such pain onto him? Why wasn't he able to do anything about it!?!
Through his tear streaked eyes Michael could see that his vomit was mixed with blood as well as large chunks of something that he could not recall eating. He realized all too quickly that the chunks were pieces of his organs. Looking down he saw the edges of his ribs peaking out of his shirt. That's why he had such trouble breathing his lungs were pierced and were filling up with copious amounts of the bloody mixture.
As he curled up the only thing Michael could do was curse, curse his assailants, curse the voice, curse Vic, curse Jack, curse Miria. Michael knew he was gonna die, if it wasn't from blood loss then it would from his lungs filling with blood, if not from that then from vomiting up all his insides, and if even that didn't kill him then the pain definitely would.
But death wasn't what bothered him the most. No. What Michael couldn't stand was the booming voice, Vic. The fact that Vic could sound so...so....happy at what was happening made Michael burn with rage. He wanted to kill Vic. He wanted to maim him. Destroy him. Tear Vic apart and shove the man's heart down his own throat.
Oh well. What does it matter. I am dying... No. I want to die. This pain. This world. Me. It should all die.... Pathetic. My life...truly is....worthless.....
The pain began to fade—oh, it was still there and still to an equally horrible degree but not it was....lesser. The pain was lessening, and replacing it was...numbness, not warmth or peace but numbness. It increased and increased until the previously agonizing pain was replaced by just the barest whisper of it.
Michael could hear voices. They were not the voices of angels, spirits, ghost and whatnot, but the voices from the room he was dying in. Funny, before he had not noticed anybody except for the voice as that had been the most dangerous. Now he could only hear whispers, not enough to know what they were saying but enough to know that there were more people in the room that Vic and the other two he had named.
Such a shame, Michael thought. If I was aware of that sooner....I might have been able...to get a nice shield...
Suddenly, everything Michael was feeling....disappeared. The pain disappeared, the numbness disappeared. He was no longer on the ground, in fact he was standing up. All his injuries, as far as he could tell, were gone. There was no blood, or vomit anywhere near him. Odd, just odd. Even his hate was gone. At this point everything that had happened seemed like it was just a nightmare, but it was even less than a nightmare. Unlike a nightmare he felt absolutely nothing about what had just happened, the memories were there but they seemed distant and were fading fast.

What had just happened? Was it all just an illusion? A dream? But why was he still here? Michael looked around the room in a daze; his mind there but not there at the same. He saw that he was in the center of the room, which looked to be a cabin of sorts, and he counted thirteen other people in the room with him.
The faces of the thirteen we're indistinct even though they were just a few feet away from him their faces were formless like rippling inky water. As far as he could tell the room was divided, ten stood to one side and three on the other.
Now even the room was starting to ripple. Walls faded in and out, the markings on the wood spiraling in odd patterns, the colors of the room changing and bending together. Michael felt dizzy. He began to wobble on his legs and collapsed on his knees atop the floor. His knees making a hard banging sound as they hit the hardwood. He knew what was happening. Michael's time, or rather the time he was needed, was up.
Still, he could hear voices. They were coming from the group of three to one side of the cabin. The forms were abstract but he could make out what appeared to be a man and a woman engaged in an argument.
"Um...Vic? What did you do to the newb?"
"Nothing! I already called you over! If he gets damaged it's your fault now, Miria!"
"Your fault my ass! You clearly used too much power on this one! He looks practically brain dead, and you know my magic can't heal minds as well as I can bodies!"
"Well, who told you to do that! Me and Jack wanted you to go the scientific route but nooo, you said you wanted to be a fairy princess so it's your fault that this guy's a vegetable."
"What the fuck are you talking about!? Science is even more useless in healing minds than magic! Some people don't even consider psychology a science!"
The argument between the two was getting quite heated. Michael didn't know why he was still conscious. Normally after things were finished and his senses went haywire he'd have at most a few seconds before he blacked out. It must mean that there is still something he needs to be awake for. Something he could use to help Lucky.
"Could the two of you shut up? The more both of you argue the more useless your arguments become." Said a new voice. The voice was calm, almost cold sounding, but that was only at the top. To Michael's distorted senses he could see the sound the voice was making. It was a mix of blue and red: clear vibrant blue spiraling together with a deep lifelike red color. He'd seen voices like that before, and they usually didn't belong to good people.
Michael saw that the origin of a voice was male, the form stood behind the arguing male and female figures and it looked short as just about a boy's height.
Michael felt that the figure was important and diverted all of his attention to it. The image cleared up significantly yet it was still too blurry to truly make out anything concrete; at most he could see was that the figure was indeed a boy.
While looking at the boy Michael felt the world around him distort further, all the chaotic colors, spirals and mixed senses rushed towards the form of the boy trying to clear up the image. Just as the colors were about to make contact the figure....looked at him.
The moment their eyes made contact all the distorted world immediately vanished. All the different colors and senses returning to their place. Michael felt it too, as if everything was pushed back; repelled by the boy. His consciousness suffered the blow and was teetering on the edge of unconsciousness. However, he used the last of his strength to look directly at the boy right before he fell asleep and what he saw shocked him.
Insane....that child....his sword....Lucky...be careful.....we're in dangerous territory now. If you can't make it through.....then we're both going to die.......I hope you use....the information I gathered well... Still, isn't it insane? That child's sword...is far too large...too thick....too heavy.....more like a hunk of iron.... To think this world was real.... To think in this life if mine I would lay our eyes on Dragonslayer.
