Temperament Sutra [Elemental Tempering] Chapter

Introduction:

Elemental Tempering. One of the most crucial Cultivation Stage that every cultivator would need to focus on before they ascend into a higher cultivation tier. The tempering within cultivation is to be treated as "An act to Create a Sturdy Foundation", and to be treated with utmost respect. In the world of Tempering Cultivation, three variant is established, headed and pass down from the previous master of Tempering Cultivation to the next generation, such as yourself.

The Variant is differentiated by [Elemental Tempering], [Martial YinYang Tempering], and the [Properties Tempering]. Although all carry the same weight in Tempering Cultivation, yet it carries less than what one should understand unless one walk passes the meaning of all three Tempering Cultivation path. The tempering path is hard, full of difficulties in achieving a single advancement, and yet, once the foundation is built, you are qualified to be unmatched around all peers from the same Tier.

Chapter 1 - Understanding the Elements

In the world of Elemental Tempering, the most basic five Element is divided into Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. The five major Element is also called as [Five Elemental (Wu Xing)]. Metal is Hard, Wood is Calm, Water is Fluid, Fire is Strength, and Earth is Nature. The Five Elemental works all around the world, and for a Pill Masters, nothing is more important than possessing what is the best to your usage.

Other than the Major Five Elemental, there is an additional Table of [Minor Five Elemental]. The similarity is comparable to the Differences of Yin and Yang, or the Properties of Firm and Fluid. The Minor Five Elemental is The Wind, Ice, Lightning, Life, and Death. The Wind is free, the Ice is Firm, the Lightning is Destruction, the Life is Light, the Death is demise. In Elemental Tempering, mastering one among this Minor Five Elemental would allow you to create more rebellious creations.

Lastly, is the Element of Gods, called as Qian Kun, or Better in the [Elemental Table as Kunlun]. The Kun represents the Yang deep within the Yin Circle, Bearing the Strength of Sky Element, while the Lun represents the Yin deep within the Yang Circle, Carrying the Evilness of Hell Element. Nothing much could be explained from this two element, as they are shrouded with only mysteries that even fellow Sky Elemental rich cultivator might not qualified to understands it.

Chapter 2 - Tempering Stage

Element Affinities came from three different sources. The first is born with innate elemental affinity. Most people could only use one element in life, some two, some three, and the greater is among the fours and the fives. But this doesn't mean the four or five would be stronger than the one because at the end, it all comes to the main part of Foundation, known as tempering.

The second source came in the form of "Lucky Encounters". Throughout the few millennia, some fortuitous encounter had been recorded by not one, but many regarding such happening in one cultivator's life. Some lucky to be within the [Pure Spring of Element Water Concentration], which if successful in absorbing it, would gain the affinity of Water Element. Some Element like Wood also recorded to grown from a medicinal plant, into a weird variant that upon the bond between the plant and the carer is created, allowing the master to possess the affinity of Element Wood.

The most recorded encounters that met by plenty of cultivators, is the appearance of [Heart of Fire], rich in Fire Element, and easily procure from Fire Elemental Beast. Only once, and one time in the record, written with the appearance of [Heaven Clouded Peach]. This fruit provides a great affinity with the Element of Sky, one of the rarest among all in the world.

Third, is what we called as Concocted Medicine with great Element Affinities. They could come in the form of Pills, Elixirs, Tonic, and anything we could believe in the form of a medicine. This came from the blessing of the Grain Emperor, Shennong. The earlier generations believe that the Emperor Shennong appears before them, by a dream, by physical, or by unspeakable force, to guide and teach us to concoct such medicine.

Within this Continent of Yan, an unorthodox clan called [Turmoil Pill Clan] is believed to be able to concoct a medicine that could increase the chances of obtaining new Elemental Affinities by 1%, and is very widely sought after. This Pill is known as [Turmoil Elemental Dan] and only could be concocted by 10 people in the clan. But before this [Turmoil Elemental Dan] make its appearance, the whole Continent of Yan had plunged into an era of chaos before, because of the appearance of one holy pill known as [Golden Jade Holy Pill].

Chapter 3 - the five stage of an element

The element is divided into five stage, from their Initial Stage into its Perfection Stage. Each stage is open to master, without being dependent on the base of one cultivation. Achievement is obtained from understanding, knowledge, the stability of the person Foundation, and many more variable situations. From here, onwards, the stage differences are noted down for you, the reader, to understand the differences when forced to face in a battle.

The foundation of Elemental Tempering could be seen from the appearance of the Elemental Energy the cultivator releasing. So to understand how strong is your opponent, first look at their Tempering Stage. Continue on below, would be the Minor Five Elemental and its differences.

Final Chapter - Conclusions

From understanding the three important chapter of this tempering art, I wish that you could apply this knowledge wherever you go and do not be over confident with your own Element Tempering Foundation. Always remember that "There Will be Always a Mountain Taller than the First Tall Mountain." even if you are one of the strongest among your peers, there will be always somebody who could overcome you in the term of Tempering Arts.

Finish reading and copying the whole book into a new one, Long Feng slowly rewind the essence behind this [Temperament Sutra] into his head, and tried to apply it into his cultivation. Instead of absorbing a large amount of all different type of Elemental Essence Energy around him, Long Feng force his body to only select the Element Fire and Wood to absorb.

He felt his Element Fire is getting stronger, but neither little or too much. Only a speck of hotter temperature could be felt, and nothing else could be seen from this action. But from this mere attempt, Long Feng realized the differences between a built foundation and an unbuilt foundation. The differences, if could already be felt from a speck of hotter temperature by just focusing on absorbing the Element Fire Essence around him, imagine how strong would that be, if he actually tempers it to perfection.

Looking at the outside sky, Long Feng already spend more than seven hours in reading and copying the [Temperament Sutra] into a new book. Feeling that he should be giving this book to the elder after he met with his six older brothers, Long Feng decided to take a nap before the sunrise to rest his tired mind.

After a few hour of rest, Long Feng wake up to groom himself well, after all, he is going to meet his six older brothers today. Long Feng remembered the special ability of the [Spatial Link Twin Grass Ring], and inject a small amount of Essence into the ring to activate the communication ability.

"Jing Jing, are you awake?" Long Feng asked. worrying that he will miss her reply, Long Feng waits for a few minutes before he prepares to walk away. but then, Nan Jing Jing's voice could be heard from the ring. "Husband, I am together with my Master, is there anything you need to tell me?" Nan Jing Jing's replies came with a slightly noisy voice from the background.

"I just want to say that, I will be on my way to meet my other big brothers. Since you are busy, I will not disturb you for now. When I return later, I will directly go into the closed door training." Long Feng inform her about his intention after meeting his other brothers. "I see, if that's the case, Husband, I will contact you if possible when you are within the case, good luck and cultivate well." Nan Jing Jing replied.

With this assuring word from Nan Jing Jing, Long Feng's heart could be put at ease, without worrying about how will she thinks when he went into closed door training without notifying her. Long Feng went straight into the Lotus Pond Pavilion and being led into a special mansion that is specially reserved for the group of seven.

Although this is the first time Long Feng is within this Lotus Pond Pavilion, their popularity of being one of the preferable meeting places for the cultivators from all over the kingdom is unmatched. Although a few other Restaurant and Pavilions does carry the similar weight, when it is used to be compared with the Lotus Pond Pavilion, they could be only described as "Lack of Luster."

Entering the Private Mansion for the brother of seven, Long Feng noticed that he was the last one again this time. his fourth and fifth brother is having an exchange of martial arts, while Wang Ping, Pang Tong, and Lang Ya is busy enjoying their delicious wine especially brought from the Capital. the sixth brother, Yong Yang, is busy reading a piece of scroll instead.

"Big brother and others, how do you do for this few days? Xiao Feng is late again, please forgive this unpunctual youngest brother." Xiao Feng greets his brothers as he finished crossing the bridge leading to the middle of the Lotus Pond, where a beautiful hut is decorated with flowers, carvings, written scrolls and pot of plants.

"Youngest Brother doesn't need to be too polite with us. Come and have a cup of tea with us." Pang Tong looked at Long Feng as he invites him to his side for a cup of tea. "Yes. Yes. Skip the formalities with us brothers, if not, we would take it as disrespect." Zhe Bie and Zhe Lie comments as they stopped sparring after Long Feng arrived within their sights. "Your sixth brother is over there polishing his martial arts, so we could ignore him. When the food comes, he will automatically come over like a hungry wolf." Lang Ya points at where Yong Yang is sitting and explains what happen to him when the other brothers are busy talking to each other.

"My six older brothers, Xiao Feng will enter a closed door cultivation after this meal tasting session is over." Long Feng wouldn't want any of his older brothers to have difficulties to look for him, thus he tells them his intention earlier before the meal starts. "I see, it should be around time as well. Since nobody among us is from the Pill Making Field, what we could do is only to provide you with some rough idea about Martial YinYang Tempering, are you interested?" Wang Ping opens up an offer to Long Feng to choose, and he decided to accept it. "Brothers, please guide this youngest brother on the path he should walk along." Long Feng speaks, as he leaps out to the spot where Zhe Bie and Zhe Lie is sparring moments ago.

"Hahaha, brother Long Feng is very impatient. Let me come up first. Zhe Lie goes up for the sparring first. as he leaps, a trail of electricity could be seen behind his path, as he quickly reaches before Long Feng.

"Brother Long Feng, be careful!" Zhe Bie launches his proudest technique, the [Trail of Thunder Fist]. following from the announcement, a chain of about ten fists appears around Zhe Bie's initial fist and added with the rumbling sound of lightning, the disturbance became irritable to Long Feng.

"Excuse this brother's guts!" Long Feng said a word of sorry in advance and prepares to launch his series of attack. Treating his palm as a sword, Long Feng launch his series of Defensive Wu Sword Art, as he blocks all ten punches from Zhe Bie. "Good!" Wang Ping and Pang Tong is the first to speaks in that instant, feeling proud of Long Feng's capability in defending that series of punches.

"Brother Zhe Bie, please defend yourself." Long Feng warns before he takes his move, and with a swing, the waves of Offensive Xuan Sword Art rush from his palm and immediately strikes across Zhe Bie's arms, shoulders, and waist. Even Lang Ya hands shake for a moment, because of the eager to try handling his youngest brother's attack. but in that instant after receiving the attack, Zhe Bie immediately come out strong in his move, as he charges his Element Thunder Energy, roll it into his Core, and prepare to launch a strong attack. "Xiao Feng, make sure you be careful with this attack!" Zhe Bie shouts.

[Mystic Thunder Pillar!]

the tower of lightning came down from the sky and acting like a lightning rod, Zhe Bie's Yellow Lightning surge out from his body as the lightning fork strikes all around the stage. "Long Feng immediately use both palms to cast the same Defensive Wu Sword Art, as the method to deflect all the lightning strikes. but with a bare hand, nothing could defend against a direct lightning strike. Long Feng's shoulder part to his wrist clothing had all been burnt into ashes as the attack ends.

In the same time, his both hand felt numbness all around, preventing him from continuing his next attack. "Xiao Feng, use your Element Wood to wrap around your wrist, the slight effect of wood could remove the numbness from Element Thunder." Pang Tong is the first to guide Long Feng. "Hahaha, Brother Pang Tong already have great experience in fighting against Element Thunder because of our frequency of sparring." Lang Ya laugh as he looked at Pang Tong.

"Understood!" Long Feng immediately wrap both of his wrists with his Element Wood energy and reduce the side effect from the lightning strikes. but then, Wang Ping already charge into the fight. "Xiao Bie, Xiao Feng, defend with your full strength." Wang Ping swings his hand above both Long Feng and Zhe Bie's head, and wave and wave of energy came down to them.

[Metal Elemental's Aeon Wave Palm]

unable to receive the attack, both Long Feng and Zhe Bie falls down to the ground, burdened by the strength of "Heavy" with the series of palm attack from Wang Ping. "Brother Wang Ping, Xiao Bie can't handle it anymore!" Zhe Bie immediately asks for his freedom. Due to the naturality of Metal Element, Zhe Bie's martial art almost act like the magnet, sucking away all the strength to call Element Thunder into his core.

but then, Pang Tong join the fight, releasing a strong Element Wood strength. A feeling of greeneries surrounds the whole stage, and soon, without any notice at all, an all round circle of heavy fist attack could be felt around the whole area within the center of the pond.

the punch gave everyone except Yong Yang a push backward, with all of them almost falls into the water within the pond, if there aren't any divider placed around the hut. "Hahaha! Brother Pang's Wood Elemental strength already reach the Circle Stage!" Lang Ya laughs as he failed to accept the strike.

The seven brother continues to spar with each other until the waitress of the Lotus Pond Pavilion already standing all around the hallway before the bridge. it lasts long until one of the supervisors of the Lotus Pond Pavilion speaks.

"Seven Gentlemen. I'm afraid if the dish is waiting any longer, it would be not as tasty as when it is piping hot." even from far away, this man could speak with a voice that strong where it could be heard from the middle of the pond, but not hurting the ten waitress with twenty dishes. "Hahaha! Supervisor Ji, your [Voice Transferring Art] is still as good as ever, come, ladies, please serve the dishes!" Wang Ping being the oldest politely greets the supervisor, and allows the waitress to deliver the dishes to the dining table positioned in the middle of the opened air hut.

the brothers enjoy their meal, before Long Feng shock the others once again by passing a total of 910 Low-Rank Pills, 1100 Middle-Rank Pills, and 23 Upper-Rank Pills to Lang Ya's hands.

"Xiao Feng, Elder Brother have a request for you." Wang Ping stopped Long Feng from leaving and walks toward his younger brother. "Eldest brother, what could Xiao Feng do for you?" Long Feng turned around and face his big brother. "I have a total of 100 portions of ingredient for Refinement Pellet here, and to be honest, big brother wanted to impress a special lady, so I need some Upper-Rank pills to do it. I wonder could youngest brother try to help this big brother in this matter? you can take up all the other rank pills, and just give me the Upper-Rank one, even if it's only one or two from that 100 Portions of ingredients." Wang Ping explains his situation for needing Long Feng and his Pill Refining skills.

by the time Long Feng went back to the Bronze Pill Hall, the sky already turning dark. but before entering the Thousand Training Formation Cave, Long Feng decided to pay a visit to the Elder before the Tower of Knowledge.
