《David The Gray Mage》David The Gray Mage Chapter 17 Consumed By Temptation

-Oh? If it isn’t little Syndra coming to visit…I thought that you wouldn’t come here before the semester would actually began, and ohh! I see that you actually brought someone with you as well…if you would be so kind to introduce us?
-Of course master Abigail, this is David he is the newest resident of our dorm, today I am guiding him around the academy, David in particular wanted to see the library and read some books, David this is master Abigail, she is the person responsible for the library in the future if you have any question regarding the library or want to buy knowledge with your points you will have to talk with her.
-I see, its nice to meet you master Abigail, I am David from Murrtail village, I am looking forward to reading books here.
David introduced himself, meeting the guardian of the library for the very first time as he was face to face with a slick looking raven that was much bigger than any ordinary raven he had seen, he wasn’t even surprised to find out that the one responsible for the library was also a type of magical animal, having already met George and Tobias, David fully expected there to be more and thinking about it he started to see a trend amongst these people as they weren’t only just magical animals but also people who had fairly high responsibilities in the academy.
Either way, as soon as they entered the library he couldn’t help but let his eyes constantly move from one place to another, it already looked enormous from the outside to the point he needed to stretch his neck to the limit to even catch how big it was and inside it wasn’t much better either as he felt like he had entered a small world somehow.
As he had observed before, the library by far was the most lavish place he had seen in this academy, for wizards who were fairly minimalistic and efficient this didn’t fit very well with their image, but then again wizards do hold knowledge above everything else the place they would store their knowledge in would obviously be in the most pristine place possible as it literally represented how highly they valued knowledge.
But even though David thinks its lavish its within wizard standards, meaning nothing was too over the top, but good looking nonetheless.
The inside was brightly lit with a huge sun like object stuck on the roof emitting bright light, there wasn’t one wall that wasn’t covered by a book shelf and not one place that wasn’t filled with books, in the very middle there were rows of tables where people could study while every other space was reserved for bookshelves which seemed to be at least taking 70 to 80 percent of the first level with the amount of books here David doubted he could read them all even if he had all the time in the world.
Close to where he was standing there was a single staircase going up into the second level, it looked like anyone could go up if they wanted as it wasn’t blocked or closed, but from David’s vision he immediately noticed stacks upon stacks of lines, symbols and patterns covering the staircase. These patterns were familiar to David as he had already had contact with them through Vanessa when she had used a spell on him, back then he was able to manipulate them since they were directly in contact with his body and far less complicated, but those patterns he was seeing covering the stairs were simply too numerous to decipher, shapes he had never seen before or thought possible were being displayed giving David the idea that it was impossible to mess with these things even if he wanted to.

-Yes, its good to meet you as well, to be honest I was already told about you by the headmistress, in fact all of the academy guardians were informed already I also heard about you from George that old cat and Tobias that croak, I am glad to see that you and little Syndra are getting along quite well, it makes me happy to know that our little ice statue had finally found herself a fire to thaw beside…
-Master Abigail please…
Syndra gave a small embarrassed protest to Abigail’s suggestive words at the end, David at this point only gave a wryly smile getting already used to these suggestive words by these people, he simply let it pass waiting for Syndra to calm down before speaking again.
He looked around the library as well, for as much as he was awed by everything, David knew that there was no point to getting awed if it wasn’t doing him any good, he had only 1 week to prepare himself for the semester, he was aiming to at least know the basics before he seriously started his studies which why he felt this place was going to be the most important one in the upcoming week.
-Master Abigail, to be honest I asked Syndra to bring me here because I realize that I don’t know much about wizards and their norms, Syndra told me that it isn’t necessary for me to know those things as I will learn them in time, but I really liked to at least have a solid idea of wizardry and the basics before I start the semester, if it isn’t much to ask would you have a book for me to study that can address those issues?
David’s honest plea for assistance wasn’t ignored by the female Raven as she looked slightly ponderous, she was already judging David as soon as he entered the library, for as much as she had heard about him from George and Tobias who both had a fairly good opinion of him Abigail liked to make her own conclusions when it came to people and not listen to others, and so far she wasn’t displeased, David possessed the air of a hardworking young man, he was polite and honest and much more importantly he wasn’t repulsed by Syndra and the others at all and rather seemed show signs of attraction.
As a woman and as someone who had lived for a long time, Abigail had far more experience than girls who lived in the dorm, she had been in more than a few relationships when she was younger and could tell quite a lot about a guy without even talking to him.
Through her experience she knew that David was definitely a odd person, a bit on the weaker and side and also slightly lacking in resolve, but it was getting there step by step, his talents weren’t overlooked by the wise Raven either as she possessed something extremely secretive that allowed her to see through a person’s soul just with her eyes alone allowing her to conduct the magic test without tools.
-(Hmm…very good soul, and affinity…common but exceptional as well…)
Such things she secretly thought, finally getting why the headmistress chose to give this boy the scholarship as he was indeed very talented, weirdly talented even but not to the point he could cause waves.
The thing was, Abigail could only see the innate talent of a person which what all magic tests showed, she didn’t know yet that David was already capable of controlling his mana when he was 5 and neither did she know how skilled he was in doing so, she also wasn’t aware of the fact that the headmistress gave David the scholarship when he was extremely young and not when he was 14 where most people who wanted to join the academy were first tested with the magic test to determine their innate talents and whether or not they could even join.

In the end Abigail chose to pause her judgement in regards to David as it was too early to tell, plus she also liked how Syndra looked beside the boy, from time to time glancing at him with a small love struck gaze, just by being near them made Abigail feel strangely young again, she could only hope that things would work out for Syndra and that this wouldn’t end in misery.
And maybe she could even give these two a small push, an idea was already brewing within the female ravens as she looked at David and Syndra.
-I see, I commend you for your desire to learn and indeed it will do you good to know some basic things before entering your classes, wait for a moment here while I bring you the books you may need, while waiting how you two go and sit down over there, tea has been already prepared so please relax.
She said looking normal as she flew off into the sea of shelves and books as he wings caused a small gust, both Syndra and David saw her off, both having their own thoughts, David himself didn’t think much of it other than being excited about the books while Syndra quickly realized that there was something wrong.
She knew Abigail far better the most people, in fact she knew all of the academy guardians very well as they all were like uncles, aunts, big brothers and big sisters to her, the reason she was so close to them was because Syndra’s mother Vitra Dragora was also the best friend of the headmistress Midgale Lefrasia. They both had been best friends ever since they studied in the academy, because of this Syndra had visited the academy more than a few times when her mother came to talk with her friend, which is how she got to know the guardians so well as she talked to them all the time taking them as replacement for friends when she didn’t have any when she was young and even now at times.
From this she knew Abigail’s personality as she was one of the laziest of the guardians there ever was, the reason Abigail is the guardian of the library is not only because she is extremely smart and sharp, but also because managing the library is the easiest job in the academy for someone like her, she also has a lot of assistants which she usually uses to do all her work for her, at this point it is unknown whether or not she does her job at all as she mostly sits on her spot sleeping, why she was doing her job now simply befuddled Syndra, but in the end she couldn’t figure it out and simply followed David, there were only 2 chairs here and they were exactly side by side and somewhat close but neither David or Syndra minded too much Syndra in fact was delighted as she sat down with David following suit, David poured Syndra the tea and they slowly relaxed within the cozy and silent library while sipping tea with Syndra completely forgetting about what she thought earlier as she couldn’t help but enjoy her time with David relaxed like this.
-For a library I really expected there to be a lot more people then it is now, I wonder whether or not the lack of people here is because the semester hadn’t started yet.
David said, looking over the library as he hadn’t seen a lot of people from the very beginning since he entered the library, he saw a few girls and guys here and there looking for books and another few focused on reading them but they didn’t even reach 10 which is why he felt it was strange, back in his world he was in a age where libraries were slowly dying down because of the internet where you could basically get any kind of knowledge by a tap of your finger, but here he thought that libraries would be thriving as knowledge was valuable without something like the internet.
-That is a part of it yes, but really young nobles aren’t known to be hardworking individuals especially the ones from wealthy houses as they always had everything they ever wanted put on a silver platter in front of them, the ones who do work hard are usually poorer noble houses who had to work on the fields alongside their people to avoid starvation, in this academy there are only poor nobles and wealthy nobles, there is no middle ground and telling them apart isn’t difficult either as they are usually very different from each other, and as for the commoners they roughly make up 20 to 30 percent of the student body and since they all come from a diverse sets of backgrounds telling them apart is far more difficult.
-Is that so?
David listened with interest, still drinking the tea, but as he drank the tea he couldn’t help but suddenly say something that came to his mind.
-If this is so, then Syndra which spectrum are you on?
His sudden question seemed to have surprised Syndra as she suddenly swallowed her tea in one gulp, coughing afterwards as she seemed to have drained the tea into the wrong pipe, a few drops of tea pouring down her lips to her chin in the process.
David was surprised by this sudden reaction as well, he didn’t think she would react like this but thinking about it again he quickly realized how rude his question was as it was basically asking on what financial level Syndra’s house was at when in reality all David wanted to know was from kind of background Syndra came from as she always looked very hardworking to him which is why he wanted to know.
Syndra of course knew that David wasn’t the kind of person who would ask such things, but hearing a question like that coming from David didn’t stop her from being surprised nonetheless as she couldn’t help but remember those guys who tried to approach her because of her noble house, she obviously didn’t overlap them with David but remembering those things was still unpleasant as over the years Syndra gained a sort of avoidance when it came to mentioning her house, even now David was mostly in the dark when it came to how big her house was really, on the way here one girl particular whispered everything that needed to be known, David must have not heard that which made Syndra feel glad but also a bit bad inside as she was still hiding something as basic as that to him who she wanted to get closer to.
Either way, it didn’t really matter, David seeing staining herself with the tea quickly grabbed a tissue to try wipe those stains out of apology, his mindless action was caught by Syndra as she tried to tell him that it was okay and that he didn’t need to do anything.
Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to get there as the chairs beneath their feet all of a sudden became wobbly, the chair legs broke and as if someone was pushing them both Syndra and David fell at the exact same direction to the left, collapsing at the same time on the same spot on top of each other with Syndra on the bottom and David on the top.
The way both of the fell was weird, but what was weird is how they landed, knowing from his previous experience with Vanessa, David kept his hands away from any sensitive areas, but while doing so he didn’t pay attention to land safely, Syndra noticed that mid-fall having great reflexes she tried to pull David to her so he wouldn’t hurt himself, but what ended up happening instead was that David directly got pulled into Syndra extremely closely head to head and the moment they landed both of them could feel a extremely soft and moist sensation on their lips overlapping.
At first neither of them were aware of what was going on, but the moment Syndra looked into David’s eyes up close and saw how they were positioned she immediately knew what the soft and moist sensation was on her lips so did David he was also staring into Syndra’s eyes.
Time seemed to stop for these two at this point, neither of them knew what to do or what to say, they only felt the soft sensation on their lips overwhelming them, Syndra in particular was quickly losing herself to this feeling as her eyes started to travel deeper into David’s and before she knew it her lips opened as her tongue came into David’s mouth exploring him.
David was shocked by this, he wasn’t sure how to react anymore especially since Syndra was taking the initiative, all sorts of thoughts came to his mind, but as Syndra continued to dazedly imprint herself within David’s mouth so did David’s reason start to deteriorate.
Before either of them knew it they were already sitting upright, positions reversed as Syndra sat on top of David’s lap holding his waist with a tight lock using her long legs as they kissed, Syndra’s hands in particular wasted no time as she groped David everywhere she could, one hand resting on his waist slowly going down while the other leading it towards her chest letting him fondle her as much as he wanted, at this point David was merely driven by his instinct, his head was full of Syndra both literally and figuratively, he never imagined that he would have his first kiss in a place like this or with a woman like Syndra, looking into her eyes he could even see her purple eyes start to turn into heart like shapes while sucking his tongue and rubbing his crotch with her bottom spiking his lust, his hands were constantly on the move as well rubbing Syndra’s breasts, even though the uniform was in the way he could still feel their softness and when he finally pinched her nipples, a lightning bolt seemed to strike Syndra as her back went straight as an arrow, doing so she also parted with David’s lips and suddenly a sweet smell enveloped them, David also felt a hot wet sensation coming from Syndra’s bottom, David was at first confused but after a few seconds he immediately knew what this was as Syndra’s face full of euphoria told him exactly what happened.
Of course David hadn’t come yet, he was as hard as a rock from Syndra’s constant rubbing bellow, but he hadn’t reached his capacity yet so to say which is why he was slightly unsatisfied, of course he wasn’t going to demand that she was going to finish what she started, as his reason was quickly returning.
In the end they ended up resting, Syndra basking herself in the afterglow as she had never in her entire life as good as she did today, even when she had pleasured herself all night thinking about David, actually doing it with David simply couldn’t compare to her fantasies.
Though this was not why she was feeling happy the most, what made her really happy at the moment was that David had completely accepted her, not once did her look away from her or look like he disliked it, from his gaze alone she knew that David just like her liked every second of what just happened, and while Syndra knew that David wasn’t repulsed by her she still couldn’t help but hold onto that one last shred of doubt within her, fortunately David shred that very last piece into oblivion as well allowing Syndra to completely give herself to David without hesitation.
Of course what would come after this wasn’t going to be pleasant nor easy, Syndra knew that she had done something unacceptable, even though David accepted her it still couldn’t be denied that she sort of forced herself on David turning this into borderline rape, she could only hope that David would forgive her for giving into her emotions like this and if he wasn’t going to forgive her…the thought of being hated alone made Syndra feel as if her heart was about to rupture which is why she didn’t have the courage to look at David’s face at the moment.
Mind you they were still inside the library, luckily for them no one was present at the moment, but it didn’t mean this would last as the sound of a raven cry could be heard above them, and it sounded quite stunned as well.
-It seems like you two had a lot more fun than I expected, I didn’t think my little prank would backfire or in your case succeed so well…if you want I could give you two a room near the reception where you could finish up, the boy at least looks like he hasn’t finished yet.
Abigail’s words that were laced with small amounts of teasing was like to thunder to Syndra and David ears, responding to it just the same both of them jumped off from each other, though in the end neither could had the evidence of their deed as David’s pants were clearly stained while Syndra had hot juices going down her skirt from her stockings.
Abigail just wanted to laugh the moment she saw them, but she wasn’t that cruel and instead quickly hurried them on into a private room where they could clean up.
Neither Syndra nor David spoke with each other while they were going, both of them were thinking about extremely complicated things, neither of them knew what was going to happen next after this.

The Chronicles of Artharian Dagworth
Back in 2020 there were many theories on how the world would end. From the many religions apocalypses, nuclear wars that would leave the planet inhabitable, global warming doing the same, biological weapons getting out of control, viruses mutating into unstoppable diseases to the dead raising to prey on humanity, either due to a virus or just because hell filled up. Also, aliens, from the war mongering kind to the ones so advanced they didn’t see us as more than worms. And of course there was the fail proof theory that the world would end when the sun died. In a bunch of billion years give or take. Althougth some new scientist were discussing if the end would be on the take side, since when the sun started dying things would go haywire on the entire solar system and we would collide with mercury or maybe mars way before the expanding sun engulfed earth. But I digress… Now, those were the mainstream theories that the everyday Joe, who didn’t know the big secret, worried about. So, if you were to ask me which theory was correct I can tell you that I haven’t seen any little green man, at least not from another planet, and so far the sun is still shining, although it’s been only 9 years since everything went to hell, not the few billions (give or take) the scientist predicted, so that one isn’t ruled out yet. These two aside, I'd say all of them. Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at writing. I have been planning to do it for a really long time, and while this is not the one epic fantasy idea I ever wanted to write, I think it's a good one. The plan is to write an end of the world urban-fantasy series. Think a world like Dresden Files, Alex Verus, Iron druid, where magic is real but exist hidden from society meets the apocalypse. It will be written in first person in the Dresden Files style, no plans for other POV for now. As you probally alredy guessed from my style, english is not my first langague, so while google corrector helps, expect grammar errors, and I'd be gratefull for anyone to point them. I plan to write 2 to 3 chapters a week, 2000-4000 words each. Might change as I get more experience and depends on my free time. Cover image from the colections of getwallpapers.com
