V3 Chapter 59
Faster, faster…and even faster!
With his current power, Drova even felt that Rain’s swordsmanship level should be as high as Lv4 now since she felt it was swift like lightning and forceful like thunder. The power behind his every attack was heavier than before, and would not even lose against the Elite Lamians in the village.
How far did he grow in this short amount of time?
Technique and style-wise, he was almost comparable to her. Though his fighting style seemed unorthodox, it was unexpectedly, completely practical, and incredibly proficient.
Unfortunately, he is still lacking in power and speed, or else, he would surely be able to rival against her full strength.
A Monster.
It was ironic to think a mere human being could be seen as a Monster by the monster themselves. But it cannot be helped.
The existence named Rain Revert is truly a monster…among monsters.
A very unique monster, that if given time would take this world in a great, horrifying storm.
Drova couldn't help but smile in anticipation and excitement when that time happens. She was an existence born to fight. Born to live on a battlefield. Though, she didn’t ask anyone to be like her, as she also understands how gruesome and lonely it could be. More so, she never wanted him to be like her.
However, Rain becoming stronger than she could ever be is also her dream. But he can never be truly strong, without fighting, nor with the taste of violence.
Indeed, violence is almost never good. But it can be considered right in times of need. In this world, where the strong eat the weak, you can never live peacefully with only ideals. One must also have the skill of violence to live as one wanted.
And now, even without being told to, Rain is slowly understanding that concept. That’s what made Drova extremely satisfied.
‘Still, as expected of Drova, damn, I can’t even come close… either it’s an innate thing or not, but her senses and reaction are the real deal…it’s not something that can easily be fooled or surpassed by mere skills,'
Although Rain had only exchanged blows with Drova for seven or eight seconds, it felt like several minutes had gone by.
As expected of the strongest Lamian, her strength is really top-class. Just from blocking attacks and the occasional counter-attack had already ‘killed’ him four to five times if this was a real battle.
At first, her technique was more brute strength than brains. Then, as if she was learning during the battle, little by little, the attack becomes even harder to read but more precise in the attack.
It’s like she got wiser and applied some intellect to her every movement and action. She even started imitating him, when he periodically allowed her to come and attack by pretending of being caught off-guard, and then, counter with a stronger hit.
With his first metamorphosis and his Body Cultivation increasing his physical attributes significantly, some had even already reached the Maximum stats, Rain’s fighting ability had been greatly enhanced, so much that normal Lv2 or 3 superhumans would not be his opponent at all.
And with this enhancement, Rain was able to exhibit extraordinary attacks, unbreakable defense, counter and dodges continuously. If he did not cultivate the Body Cultivation Technique, he would have been defeated long ago.
However, despite his newly-obtain power, he was still unable to defeat her.
Just how strong was Drova…really?
Rain had seen her fight many times before, but all of those seemed as if every battle had been a walk in the park, seemly not even able to bring out even half of her true strength. No opponents have been able to last four to five minutes longer, nor they were able to maker her serious in battle.

Being claimed as the Strongest Warrior in the Amani tribe is not really an empty title. Even Zarda had said that, even with her strength, she would be hard-pressed to defeat Drova. The golden-haired Lamian was someone you can call, a true Genius.
Ever since she had awakened, she had remained undefeated.
At this moment, Rain somewhat anticipates the day and moment when she truly exhibits her full power.
How glorious and beautiful would she be?
How strongly will she shine?
Just the thought of her glorious form was making him jittery in excitement.
“Do you think you still have the time to let your thoughts run free?”
“…well, at least give me some moments to admire your beauty, Elder Sister!”
“I will let you admire them once this is over. So you better focus on the battle for now, and entertain me, my dear little brother,” she quipped with a manic grin on her face.
The situation had once again changed on the battlefield.
Clear blue eyes narrowed at the charging golden-haired Lamian.
As an answer, Rain ran forward, drew back a long arm, and then flung it forward. All that Drova saw were several points of light rapidly approaching her. She slammed her tail on the ground, causing a ground quake, and she flipped into the air, completely dodging the fatal strikes that came hurtling at her.
Swish! Swish! Swish! Several boring holes appeared on the ground she was standing at before. The lightning speed thrust hadn't met with flesh but it was all the distraction Rain needed.
He disappeared and appeared at the place where Drova landed, his sword once again thrust at the speed of light.
Drova bent her waist at an unbelievable angle that no human can ever do. Her face displayed that familiar crazy smile, as his sword nearly grazed her stomach. She could feel the heat that touched her skin. That was almost too close!
“That’s it! That’s it!!! you’re doing good, Rain!!!”
Drova laughed like a madman, as she countered each of his graceful stabs, and slashes with her sword. At the same time, Rain tried desperately to catch her sword with his, and land even a single attack.
"You are really making me happy, Rain," she commented between swings, "But not yet good enough. More! Harder! Faster!!"
Just as Rain lunged forward attempting to stab Drova’s sword arm, the latter’s aura suddenly burst out, and as if generating a shockwave, struck him like a strong blast of wind. He stops, his spirit seems to be still. Though Rain was able to break the stunning effect, a second after, however, during that single moment, Drova had already leaped over him, crouched, and swung her sword in a swift silver arc.
“Tsk!”
Rain sensed the move too late to leave unscathed. His eyes widened as a stinging pain struck him- Drova’s steel tore through his clothes, and made a very small cut on his thigh.
The cut on his thigh was not deep. In fact, he barely felt it at all. It’s just a very shallow wound, but it’s enough to decide the winner on this sparring battle.
However, Rain couldn’t give up…not yet…
"No."
Rain groaned aloud, a grinning smile on his face, bearing a close resemblance to the one being displayed in front of him, though he doesn’t notice it.
"It’s not over yet!!”
He cried out.
His fighting spirit burst out. And Drova accepted his unyielding will that wanted to fight more.
Her smile widened, and her expression beamed; “Come!” she cried out.

“I’ll fight you until you’re satisfied.”
“I’ll fight you, as long as you want!”
“Come, Rain!!”
“Aaaaaahh!!!”
Rain roared loudly, and his speed exploded.
With the sword in his right hand, he started slashing and thrusting the sword with incredible frenzy. Anyone who saw him like this would see him going berserk, however, Drova who was fighting him, felt very surprised as she was being pushed back.
The attack, looking like a random attack, all targeted the holes in her defense.
It looks like he was attacking randomly but in fact, the wildness of the attack has an incredible precision.
An ear-splitting thunderous roar.
Stone paving came unstuck and large amounts of earth and sand were whirled up.
A strong wind brought forth from the force of the explosion swept the clouds of dust and dirt that covered the entire training ground. At the center of the area, two people continued their intense exchange.
There were shadows in the air moving in swift motion.
The tip of Drova's sword managed to meet his sword that was coming to her at lightning speed.
”Gah?!”
Rain felt such an intense force that he almost dropped his sword onto the ground, causing his initial attack to miss. He let out a loud roar, and pushed back her sword, before once again jumping back, trying to gain distance.
Comparing strength, he’s really inferior.
But still, he was not disappointed.
“Drova, again!” he said. Then, without hesitation, he dashed towards her again. This time he was faster than before. He was so fast that he cracked the ground of the training area.
They were initially more than 10 meters apart from each other but now they were then less than a meter apart. This time, he had his sword pointing straight at Drova’s heart. The tip of the sword looked like it was distorted from a high temperature which also caused the air around the tip to be distorted. It was silent.
An azure glow flashed in the air. And just like before, in a blink of an eye, Drova’s sword clashed with his sword again. Rain was being pushed back, but he had already known the result of this clash beforehand.
“Hm?!”
Drova’s eyes widened as suddenly, the pushing force from the party disappeared, causing her, who was exerting her strength to counter him, feeling as if she was about to stumble forward. And before she knew it, a leg had already expanded in her vision.
A kick?!
Drova tilted her head in a hurry, but the side of the foot still grazed her cheek, causing her to feel a burning warmth on her face. Though it’s not a direct hit, her balance suffered.
“I know you can dodge that!”
Rain smiled and pulling his arm, he thrust his sword towards Drova’s chest.
Drova grinned, and hurriedly blocked the sword with hers. However, too late. The blade passed through her guard, a lightning spark appeared as the two swords clashed against each other -the tip of the blade brushing past through her cheek, causing a small cut wound.
Drova used this chance to whip her tail, but Rain had already disappeared. He appeared a few meters away from her. His face smiled widely.
Drova let out a breath and touched the warm area on her cheek. She looks at the small blood on her finger, “I didn’t see that coming,”
Rain grinned. “I know,”
“Hahaha” Drova let out a loud burst of laughter. “I underestimated you, Rain, I really did,”
“Your loss if you did,” Rain didn’t feel offended. Instead, his smile became brighter.
“But not anymore,”
As their conversation ended, Drova attacked. This time, she’s the one who charged at him. “I’ll treat you more seriously, this time…”
“That’s what I wanted!!”
Drova traveled the distance in an instant. Her sword whistled silently as it traveled through the air, the sound making it seem like the sword had cut through the air itself. Its speed had reached its peak as it approached Rain.
Rain and Drova once again exchange fierce attacks. With both not yielding nor retreating against the other.
Because of the collision between his sword and Drova’s large sword, Rain felt suffering some damage just from the simple exchange. Since his opponent was several levels higher than himself, the impacts of the Lamian's serious swings are heavy and strong.
With Drova’s mad-like berserk rampage, Rain was no longer capable of being so nimble; dodging attacks became a bit taxing.
With her speed growing faster, he was using up more and more energy. Strong, fast, and fierce, he could only dodge without attacking. And since Drova was quickly increasing her movement speed, even more, his every dodge was getting more and more dangerous.
“Ora! Ora! Ora!”
Drova’s blows were getting exponentially faster. She managed to attack dozens of time within an instant, and at this point, cuts and tears had appeared in his clothes, since he no longer had the ability to counter. Though, whether she was still holding back, or that she just has incredible control of her power, there was no wound or cuts in his body, only his clothes were receiving the ire of the Lamian.
Rain used [Shockwave], and an incredible blast of air came out from his body. Though the skill's power is not to sent her flying, but still, this caused Drova to stop her onslaught, and he immediately took this chance, and stab his sword.
Drova smiled ferociously. She twisted her narrow waist, and her beautiful body quickly spun. And then, she slashed her sword.
A pair of long translucent, green serpents materialize in thin air and rushed towards him. The two long green serpent that looked like an illusion due to their blurry image, stretched for over twenty-one meters.
They reached everywhere… regardless of the distance. A strong gale whistled around them as they turned into something similar to a green ocean, and shrouded Rain thoroughly.
This was a simple and little display of her true power.
And, this was just the beginning…
Rain’s eyes widened in shock.
But it returned after a moment of surprise. He jumped, gaining distance, while his eyes turning red. And then, an image of a large translucent wolf head appeared behind him. Then, he let out a loud roar. It was as if a horizontal tornado of wind had materialized coming out from his mouth, it clashed against the green sea—
Booooom!
An explosion occurred, blasting hot air from every direction. The entire training ground shook, and the walls and ceiling cracked. The entire training field was covered by thick clouds of dust. Rain’s blue eyes turned red, and a pair of sharp canines appeared at the corner of his lips. Then, without hesitation, he leaped on the right.
Boom!
A figure burst out from the clouds of dust and slams right into the place where he was just at. Rock debris swept right at him, some even scratching his face, causing a red line to appear on his cheek and neck.
“You’ve become better at controlling your transformation, that’s great,” Drova praised. “It seems like you’ve finally controlled your inner beast,”
Rain shrugs. “It wasn’t easy,”
“But you were able to do it,”
“Luck is on my side,”
“Luck is also a sign of strength,” after saying that, Drova once again burst out in an incredible fighting aura, renewing her fighting spirit. “Now, let’s take it up a notch, shall we?”
Rain’s lips curved into a grin.
“Do your best, me,” his voice had barely faded when he saw Drova’s figure flash in front of him. Though, Rain’s expression barely changed, as if he had already expected this. His eyes looked at her sword that swept with a 'whoosh' as it came towards him; it was aimed at his neck.
The air also echoed with a "whoosh" sound…
“Aaaaahhh!!!”
When it was only inches away at him, it was at this moment Rain made his move. His strength burst out, and he had planned to use everything that he had to fight against Drova.
This is the best moment to test his entire strength, and how far had he gone after all this time.
How far have I gone?!
I want to see it!
With that resolve and anticipation, Rain charged right through Drova with all his skills, strength, and power.
