V3 Chapter 35
[Congratulations! You have successfully created a [Magic Core]!]
[Your Magic Power has gone up by 100!]
Magic Core is the energy nuclei within any magical creature and is formed from pure, concentrated of natural energies, made by all magical creatures as a way to store and wield their powers. You can even consider it like a battery that stores magic power.
It was a common sense, that only Magic Creatures and Monsters could create a Magic Core inside them. During the life of a magical creature, they continually absorb other forms of energy to increase the strength of the core and thereby their strength.
Of course, although Human Beings are not Magical Creatures themselves, they too have their own way of having magic. People in this world, due to the dense amount of magical energy in the air, had also adapted and developed one for themselves over time. And they call it, Mana/Magic Organ.
This Organ acts like a device to control magic power. However, because of the Magic Organ being part of the body, it has a limit to the amount of mana it could hold. Some big, some extremely small. Hence, there exist people who are superior in Magic, while there are those who were not, and just are not capable of becoming a mage.
But of course, even the most geniuses of human mages have a limited amount of mana. This is why many people sought methods to supply their mana from outside sources. The first products that were developed were potions, such as Mana Recovery Potions, or Mana Amplifying Potions. There were also magic tools with various options and magic effects which stored excess mana. Plus, countless various items were created thereafter using the materials harvested from innate magic creatures.
Why can’t humans develop a magic core if they all sought an incredible amount of magic power?
Although there were some humanoid races that possess a Magic Core, sadly, a human being who had the weakest magic affinity among all races would never able to possesses a Magic Core, naturally, or artificially. Just by even directly consuming one would lead to one’s body exploding from excess violent energy.
However, at this very moment, an unprecedented miracle has been created.
Rain, a human, was actually able to possess a Magic Core. This had already gone beyond absurdity, completely turning into the realm of impossibility. But nevertheless, it was true. Rain had become a magical Being from this moment on!
At this moment, he had truly transformed from a human being, into something beyond.
But Rain didn’t know about this. In fact, he didn’t have the time to even care about it. As soon as the violent magic power began tearing his magic veins, the excess magic power that circulates inside his body frantically cover it and began repairing it; making it stronger and tougher.
This occurred many times over as if it were a beautiful nurse anxiously bandaging his open wounds, causing Rain to feel happy in his heart. Although it was painful, the progress of his body made him feel satisfied.
It seems like the fruit that the beautiful girl gave him, even if she said it was common, Rain believes that it was a very precious treasure. After all, Rain didn’t believe that the magical power that was entering his body was the only one responsible for repairing and reconstructing his body. There must be something else in that fruit aside from it being able to attract magic power.
Without him noticing, a day had already past. His body was covered with an oily film. He smelt disgusting like he hadn’t washed in years.

… …
The magic power in his body has become so massive yet it still didn't have any sign of stopping.
There was even some excess magic power that went into every part of his body. But with the existence of the Magic Core, Rain didn’t feel any of the side effects of his magic organ becoming stuffed anymore, or the usual on the verge of exploding. Although he still felt its existence, hence, at this moment, Rain felt as if he has two power generators inside of him.
One is the Magic Core, and two is the Magic Organ.
Those excess energies he can’t absorb into his Magic Organ were instead absorbed by his Magic Core, causing it to become stronger, and bigger.
In addition, with the onset of the effects, Rain felt a slight tingling sensation and his body began to improve at an incredible speed. His body being reformed. And this is his first; [Metamorphosis]!
The human body, ever since it was born, would constantly be exposed to the contaminated air of the world. This kind of air was contained in every breath, in the grains, they ate, in the water they drank. It was inevitable that the impurities would accumulate in the body. And as one age, these impurities will gather, and weaken the body as well.
The violent magic power caused his muscles to become more solid, the impurities within his skin also excreted with sweat. His physical body felt as though it had undergone some remodeling.
Boom! Rain heard a booming sound in his head. He felt a bountiful magic power momentarily burst into his body from all directions. Boom, boom, boom! A huge amount of magic power continuously entered his body. However, it wasn't as dangerous as before.
Because of the remodeling of his physical body, along with his magic veins, Rain could now absorb a huge amount of Magic Power without it getting torn. And it will then be used to expand and strengthen his Magic Core.
Although the power in his Magical Core doesn’t reflect in his physical status, perhaps, because he was born innately human, the mana reflected in his physical attributes still depends on his Magic Organ. Nevertheless, if one added the magical energy stored from his Magic Core, he would have already an incredible amount of magic power that only Archmages could possibly possess—in the realm of Lv4 or 5.
Now, even if he had depleted his magic energy in his Magic Organ, he would still have an incredible amount stored inside his Magic Core. Truly, an amazing power battery was stored inside of him.
Normally, this is only the characteristics of Monsters and Magical Beasts that made them become horrifying monsters that any races in the world feared. They didn’t need any training, as they constantly become stronger even if they sleep or rest due to their magic cores constantly absorbed magic in their surroundings.

Their magic power amount and recovery were so astonishing that any Archmages would feel envious for. But now, Rain also has it, making him beyond any living being in this world in terms of magic power.
But this was only made possible because Rain was a Pure Human—an almost extinct race, and their strange innate ability to adapt in any situation or circumstances. Pure Humans are weak, in fact, perhaps even weaker than any beings in this world, including the current Human Race. However, despite their weakness, it was said that they are considered the second rank in the Racial Rankings that existed in the Lost Century, only inferior to the High Humans.
Why?
All because of the Perfect Adaptation ability that they innately possess.
One of the greatest abilities that the God of Creation had given to them.
Although it’s not offensively, or defensively powerful, like the incredible traits of any other races, this ability alone had made the Pure Humans become compatible with everything, or adapt to any kind of circumstances or situation they found themselves in. And this also caused their potential to be even higher than any races as well, with almost no limits given.
Physically, mentally, and spiritually, this also gave them the ability to even procreate with any other beings as partners, including Monsters or Demi-humans that have little to no reproductive ability. This is also why Rain becomes an incredibly precious treasure to Zarda and the other Lamians at the beginning.
In any case, as what has been said before, Pure Humans are the weakest—unlike now, when Gods gave their Divine Blessings to humans to empower them—a long time ago, Gods and Humans have clear boundaries, and never interact with each other, and because of that, they remained the weakest. Although this particular ability gave them an edge to many things unlike the other races, they needed time to grow, so most Pure Humans choose to find allegiance to other races, for protection and safety, and this resulted to the current human beings.
A mixed race.
But this ability enables a Human to perfectly adapt to anything that can be said to be impossible.
Of course, Rain was not the only one who can do this. In fact, all Transmigrators like him are Pure Humans. That’s why heroes are much stronger than the current human beings in this world, not just in deep knowledge and imagination.
Rather than experiencing the hardships that other people of this world in advancing their strength, and magic, they did not feel any difficulties at all. And in fact, it’s as if they had just recovered a precious item that was once lost. That’s because of their abilities to adapt.
But to be able to conjure a Magic Core despite being human, perhaps only Rain was able to do it. He possesses the ability [Predation] which let him consumes any kind of existence, even if they are objects monsters, or demi-humans, or anything and everything into this world has to offer and integrating it into his body, giving him more power.
And he had used it to consume countless monsters and beasts, and because of this, his body had adapted to that of them—just like the famous saying, [Be careful when you fight monsters, lest you become one], by Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche a well-known Philosopher. Though, in his case, [be careful in devouring one, lest you transform into one.]
Rain had become akin to that of a Monster, all because of his ability. He had already felt its existence before but just couldn’t form it because of the lack of magic power. But with the fruit given by that beautiful girl, he now was able to create one due to the incredible amount of magic power entering into his body at this very moment. Hence, the creation of this miracle.
After a few moments, Rain finally opened his eyes. While his body did not stop absorbing magic power, the speed was considerably lowered. In other words, even if he didn't focus on cultivating in the future, his strength will still continue to grow. What an incredible [Body Refining Method]!
He slowly finished his training with all his hands and knees on the ground. He felt like he just made a U-turn from Hell as he spewed out a mouthful of thick cold air. Touching his whole body, only to feel the solidness of his muscle. He also felt the massive power residing inside his body. What’s even more incredible was the fact that Rain can feel the existence of mana around him even better than before. Perhaps this is one of the perks of being a magical creature. It’s as if the mana around him was embracing him, which made feel like he was inside his mother’s womb once again. Safe, comforting, and tranquil.
Suddenly his brows wrinkled, a foul body stench drifted into his nostrils. He followed the smell and looked, only to see his entire body covered with filthy, and stinky goo— Looking at the thin layer of dark-red material on his skin, he shook his body. That was the impurities within his body. There were surprisingly more impurities excreted out of his body than before.
The substance was extremely oily and dirty and smelt really disgusting as if he hadn't washed in years. As he was about to change his clothes, however, before he could do it, something crashed into him.
This something was a crying Lamia who disregarded his disgusting, dirty appearance and rushed towards him. Embracing his body, Lafetti cried like a child.
How can Rain not realized the cause, he hugged her back while consoling her. He also noticed the Granite and Scarlet from the corner of his eyes quietly looking at them with crying expression. The dark circles on their eyes showed how worried they are. Rain felt a huge warm surging inside his heart. Enjoying the wonderful sensation of Lafetti’s fragrant, soft and lovely body that was hugging against him, Rain could only helplessly shake his head.
“Lafetti, I’m dirty,”
“I don’t care. You idiot, you…! You scared me!”
“That, I did, I’m sorry,”
“Damn it, Rain! That’s not funny! I thought you were dead. It nearly killed me. It was awful.”
“I didn’t enjoy it much either.”
Rain said as he hugged her trembling body to his and rested her head on his shoulder. She sobbed and put her arms around him, completely ignoring the stinky dirt and goo on his body, her fingers curling up his drenched and dirty clothes in her fists. She kept on repeating about how he’s an idiot, and how much he scared her and thought how she almost lost him. She cried so loudly, Rain felt an idiot and scumbag for making her cried that heavily.
Fortunately, although they said that women are made of water, they were actually not entirely made out of it. at the very least, a few hours of crying, perhaps her tears already dried up, she finally stops crying.
“Come on, don’t cry,” he kissed her brow and wiped her cheeks. “We’re alive, and we have each other back. I’m not letting go again,”
Lafetti rested her head on his chest and listened to the steady beat of his heart. The sounds of his heartbeat always calm her down, like a baby listening to her favorite lullaby. And most importantly, Rain was alive. That's the most important thing in the world.
“Rain…please, don’t ever do that to me again,”
“I know…and I won’t. I promise,”
She wanted to say something again, but Rain cut her words off with a kiss. Lafetti, annoyed, but still responded, circling her arms around his neck, and pulling him closer. She really didn’t mind the stinky smell emitting from his body—what’s more important for her, was to feel him.
To relieve her heart, and ease her pain from almost losing him.
