Chapter 6
[Master! Now that she’s out cold, we can escape now! Or best if you immediately kill her! She must be a high-level monster so you should be able to raise your lev--]
At this moment, he suddenly heard Sylphy’s once again.
“I can’t do that.”
But without any hesitation, Rain cut her off while shaking his head.
[But Master, this is an opportunity!]
“Sylphy can you identify her?”
[Negative. I don’t have any appraisal-type ability Master. Only your status is within my jurisdiction… However, she should be a Lamian…]
“A Lamian? Not a Lamia?”
[Yes, the Serpentfolk people in this world is called Lamian… they are a part of the monster race and known for their evil actions of killing, plundering and kidnapping men for breeding purposes. Then, they will kill them after the deed is done…]
“Well, that’s serious…”
Rain smiled bitterly after hearing the not-so-simple description.
[That is why Master-]
Rain seemed to hear a faint bitterness from her mechanical voice but he disregards it and sat down beside the Lamia.
He extended his hand and put the hanging hair covering her face to the back of her ear affectionately. He looked at her gently. Her expression somewhat affectionate, but inwardly he was still feeling somewhat complicated.
What should he do now…?
After a few minutes of thinking, Rain shrugged his shoulders; “Well, we already did it… and I felt as if she wasn’t a bad person anyway, so I’m going to hang out here for the time being. In any case there still monsters out there, I’m afraid I will just die if I ever stepped out. Although it’s pathetic, however, I needed her protection…”
[Master you are going to regret this. She is a Monster…]
“I’m from a peaceful world… so all this killing stuff is still new to me, Sylphy. Although I would appear to be somewhat naïve now, it doesn't matter. However, I can’t muster any urge to kill, especially if it looked like a human being, like her. It might be good if it’s against those animals and beasts but if it looked human-ish, I don’t have the gall to do murder…” Rain bitterly said.
[… …]
“Give me some time to adjust… at least, until I would be able to have the courage to kill… even if I died because of this wimpy naivety, then that would only be my fault…”
Rain took the beautiful Lamia’s head which was leaning on her hand while sleeping and moved it on his lap. He leaned at the pedestal and started stroking her hair, gently.
Besides, he was a man.
He was taught by Glen that men can’t hurt women, especially those who are defenseless…
If he did, he wasn’t a man but a beast.
At least, he wants to believe that this monster girl would find some use for him and take him under her wing. In that case, he would be able to preserve his life, at least a bit longer and until he can find solutions to his current situation…
Sylphy didn’t say anything again and just simply kept her silence – though Rain seemed to hear someone sighing inside his mind.
Unbeknownst to him, this action actually saved his life.
The Lamia was not sleeping; after all, it didn’t trust Rain to begin with. How can she fall asleep defenselessly in front of an enemy? She just pretended to sleep while waiting for Rain’s actions and what he will do the moment he thought he was already safe.
This was her own way of giving him a chance.

If he was evil and wicked then he will certainly die. If he tried something suspicious, his head will certainly roll…
However, even she never expected Rain’s affectionate actions. Her body couldn’t even help but turned stiff when he moved her head and placed it on his lap. Her face started burning but she didn’t move and instead let it be.
For some reason, she felt comfortable laying her head on his lap while her hair was gently stroked like a child. After a few hours of being like that, the beautiful Lamia finally slowly opened her eyes.
She didn’t say anything and just treat as if nothing happened. Rain couldn’t help but smile bitterly but he didn’t mind. He then noticed he wasn’t being bound… is she giving him freedom?
"I’m hungry…" Rain subconsciously mumbled as he peered into the darkness.
The moment he realized what he said, he instantly turned his head and found the beautiful Lamia, staring at him while frowning.
Fudge! Rain cursed inwardly. He was being casual for a slave… is that it?
But who had expected, the beautiful Lamia only frowned for a moment and then said with a cold voice.
“Stay here and if you run, I will kill you!”
Then she left.
Rain left tilting his head in confusion. She seemed to trust him somewhat… was it because she was satisfied with his service? Rain mused.
Left alone, Rain tried to think of what he would do from now on. Though the first priority for him right now is to become strong. Should he ask that Lamia?
Well, that wouldn’t work… he would only garner doubt and suspicion. He should earn some points and trust for the time being…
After a few minutes of waiting, the familiar figure of the Lamia came to his view.
“Hey,” he called out but no answer came out.
The Lamia just tossed a Bone Eater’s corpse in front of him and ignored him, leaning at the stone pedestal. Rain smiled bitterly but he didn’t mind and took the corpse. He tried cutting a piece of it with the sharpened rock he had made before, but it was actually harder to do it than he thought so he looked at the sword beside the Lamia.
“Ahm, can I borrow your sword for a second?” He asked.
“No.” The Lamia coldly responded.
“I won’t do anything bad; I just want to cut a piece of it… please.” He pleads.
The Lamia frowned, feeling dissatisfied and was going to refuse again but then she changed her mind. Standing up, she cuts the Bone Eater, piece by piece since it was no big deal and returned to her former position. She didn’t say anything in the process. She was much more amiable during sex. Rain shrugs and then when he was about to eat it, he suddenly remembered about this world being a sword and magic world.
“Can you make fire? I want to cook it…”
Whether it was just his imagination or not but, Rain felt as he had heard something snapped.
“You’re too annoying.” The Lamia muttered.
“Eat it if you want and not if you won’t…”
“I’m just asking… eating raw meat can give you e coli…” Rain’s face darkens as he braced himself and started eating it.
At this moment, Rain really confirmed that his choice [ Predation ] wasn’t a mistake. Seriously, with this skill, he can eat anything, even if it’s raw meat…
Although the taste was somewhat bitter still, there are no chances of infection. And he would be safe to eat it, albeit it is really hard for a modern man to eat, unsanitized raw meat. Even just the smell of blood makes his head somewhat strange.

After almost eating almost half of the meat from the Bone Eater, in which Rain was quite surprised by his unexpected appetite, suddenly
[Master, you have gained a skill [Agility EX]. An active ability that would double your agility for 30 seconds. Cooldown: 1 hour.]

Rain looked at his status and was extremely satisfied. He turned his head and saw the Beautiful Lamia looking at him, no, rather she monitoring his every action. He smiled at her, causing the Lamia’s frown to become even deeper.
After eating, Rain walked over and sat beside her.
“Hey, I couldn’t ask before but, what’s your name? I’m Rain, Rain Revert…”
Rain reached out his hand.
The Lamia looked at his extended hand, not understanding what he was doing. It seems like there is no custom of handshake in this world. Well, at least not among monsters; “… Lafetti.”
“Oh, nice to meet you.”
Rain awkwardly pulled back his hand but he was satisfied that the Lamia; Lafette responded to him. And this made him somewhat happy. As long as she responded to him from time to time, then there would come a day that they would be able to understand each other mutually.
Although Rain didn’t feel any feelings like love towards her, well, not yet anyway. However, for someone who never had a girlfriend, making love to this kind of beautiful woman was really his happiness – though there was some kind of extra tail, human or non-human, doesn’t really matter as long it’s female.
“Lafetti… can we become, lovers?” Rain suddenly muttered.
Well, he immediately regretted it the moment he said that. Was he taking a big leap all of a sudden? It seems like he was rushing things.
“What?” Lafetti’s ice-cold expression suddenly showed a momentary loss. It seems she was really surprised by Rain’s sudden proposal.
“Y, you know, you and me ‘did’ it already so,”
Since he cannot take back what he said anymore, Rain could only awkwardly scratch the back of his head. Twirling his fingers, he suddenly felt embarrassed. As someone who hasn’t had a girlfriend since birth, this was the first confession he will make. So, he was a loss of words.
“Is, isn’t it normal for us… you know, to have that kind of relationship?”
Lafetti didn’t answer and instead averted her eyes, completely ignoring him…
Rain felt downcast… well, no response and no rejection mean still have a chance. He was not the type to immediately give up.
Men must be persistent and positive! Biting his lower lip, somewhat hesitant, Rain scooted over and drops his head to her lap. He was expecting to be thrown over or slap, or anything violent but when he looked up, he only saw her staring at him while frowning.
Is that a habit of her? Rain couldn’t help but think like that as he noticed she always frowns…
Rain was extremely happy when Lafetti didn’t throw him away, or punches him, or hit him with her tail and instead ignored him. She only closed her eyes as if she was going to sleep.
This is a good start! Rain smiled and then took her hand and put it over him, gently locking her fingers with his. Although the place is not exactly the most romantic place, with the bad stench and dirt all over the place, however, well… it wasn’t that bad.
The day ended with a warm atmosphere.
--- ---
Several days have already passed.
Although, actually Rain didn’t know how much time passed by since he had been transported into this world. He doesn’t even know if this world runs a similar time and concept with his world, since all he saw was dark, dim light with bones and rocks everywhere.
He had once gone along with Lafetti to examine the entire place, but all they did was walk around the area, around the Sacrificial Altar (named by Rain), since Lafetti seemed to be against the idea of him departing that place. Not that he knows the reason, though. Still, it’s probably not less bigger than a baseball stadium, this Sacrificial altar was.
Just what is this place for?
And why did he appear in this place?
Rain was able to tell time, according to Earth’s time because he was able to recharge his phone with the remaining energy inside his Power Bank. But aside from some features, music and time, Rain hardly used it to conserve energy, while keeping it a secret to Lafetti.
Not because he was being suspicious but because Lafetti was. She always assumes that everything was a magical item, hence she would destroy everything. Don’t know the reason though; perhaps she didn’t like magical items. But his power bank which let out the light when he was recharging his phone was almost smashed to pieces because of it.
When asked if she dislikes magical items, she would simply answer a ‘No’. Her sword seemed to be a magical weapon as well and she even had a leather water bag that seemed to be a magical item too. But as for why she didn’t want Rain to own a magical item, only she herself knows the reason.
From time to time, Lafetti would disappear. However, when she appeared, she would be assaulting him. Every night ( Self Assumed by Rain using the time on his phone), other than that warm night, was filled with endless passion. Lafetti seems to vent her stress on Rain and assault him despite some of his objections and refusals.
Every morning, Rain could only wake up, extremely tired and exhausted.
Their relationship was completely different from normal lovers – despite his endless hope of having more.
It’s as if he was only a servant, a sex toy for the beautiful Lamia to vent her stress and passion. She dried him up and yet never did she make any long conversation with him. Only, ‘No’ and ‘No’… seriously.
Is that even a conversation?
Still, Rain didn’t lose hope as he tried everything he can to make their distance a bit closer. He tried acting spoiled in which, Lafetti will only respond with the silent treatment and let him do what he wants, like sleeping on her lap, hugging her from behind… and now, sometimes when his courage became stronger, he will kiss her… of course, only on the cheek.
Despite their kissing session from when they were in their sexy time when Rain kissed her lips suddenly, he was responded with a jab in the stomach…
Rain could only groan painfully…
However, Rain’s abilities were getting higher and higher from the food Lafetti gave him. Sometimes Bone-Eaters, sometimes a deer-like a creature with six eyes and there were also times when she will bring a gorilla-like monster.
Rain’s base stats were also increasing even without him doing anything just from his food. They were all increased by one or two points… depending on the monster he ate. Even his stamina was increasing as well.
Rain also noticed Lafetti not coming back to him when she left for one or two days.
As for where she was going, he doesn’t know.
Even if he asks, he would only be answered by silence.
