Chapter 16- A Wild Princess Appears!
Roen was calmly sitting with his eyes closed surrounded by a bunch of decaying bodies. He has currently been sitting there for three days and nights after eating all of the black orb. He showed no signs of becoming a balloon or any that could be counted as uncomfortable.
"Guh. I can never get used to that taste."
Roen's eyelids slowly opened as he spat out those words. Taking a look at his surroundings he got up started moving around, collecting the souls that he was forced to leave alone due to the egg's marking.
'Roen!!!?!?!!!' A loud shout that came from Engil rang out into Roen's head. Roen angrily put down what he was doing and waited a bit to calm himself down.
'What is it?'
'What the hell! We found one of these monsters just yesterday and both my purple wolf companion and I nearly died! Wasn't the one the other guy fought the same thing!'
'Suck it up!'
'I'm gonna die next time! Don't you worry about your #1 servant!?'
'For the record your servant #1, not the #1 servant.'
'Can't you at least act like a caring master once?'
'Not to those who act like children.'
Engil's comments stopped after that and Roen finally had some peace and quiet. Then he once again looked at his surroundings, seemed to have found something in the distance, and started to walk towards the forrest humming as he went.

~ P.O.V. Of the princess ~
My feet hurt, my heart feels like it's about to burst out of my chest, the tears that were streaming down my face earlier have seemed to dry up. I push myself to keep moving, I can't let people's sacrifices go to waste. I must survive.

I feel the soles of my feet are wet with blood. My dress has been ripped in many places due to outstretched branches and unkempt foliage. However my appearance is the last thing I have on my mind. I rest for a while then change the direction I was running in. I'm tired to the point where it wouldn't be weird to pass out. Thinking like so my eyelids begin to grow heavy, my body starts to sway and I feel my consciousness is pulling me away from reality. Then faces of two maids and an old man with a thick mustache flash through her head. I grit my teeth, I must keep moving!
How long have I been running? One day? Two? Maybe three, but they all seem to mix together. I'm incapable of telling where I am going anymore. The only sounds I hear are the howling and yelping of wolves letting me know I still need to keep moving.
HOOOOOWWWWL
I guess it's time to run again. I got up to run, but I wouldn't move. What's going on? There's nothing stopping me why can't I move? Come on move! Move! Move!
My once dried up tears once again pour down my face. I curse the fact that I didn't train more with my brothers and sisters. I curse the fact that we're always at war! I curse the people who commit acts of atrocities and kill so many innocents! I curse the god that just watches this hell that we live in!
My rage at my uselessness is cut off by a voice I remember all too well.
"Kekeke my dear princess I'm grateful you finally decided to hand yourself in."
Standing a couple feet to my right stood a man with hunched shoulders and wore a large wolf pelt that shrouded his other features. Surrounding the man was a pack of around 20 silverback wolves. If looks could kill the man in front of me would probably be killed multiple times already.

"Now now don't look at me like that you'll hurt my feelings. Kekeke but if I have to say something you certainly look even more appetizing."
"Bas...tard."
It hurt to talk, that one word caused my lungs to feel as if I just inhaled fire.
Then a white figure caught my eye. Pure white was all my blurred vision could make out.
"Who are you? Ah well it's your fault to walk in on something you shouldn't see boy. Kekeke my wolves just love pretty one like yourself."
Hearing the words coming from that man I tried to yell at the being in white to run, but my never came out. I don't want anymore people to die for my sake! Run away! Leave me! Don't die like the others...
"I don't care how little worms struggle on the ground. Move."
A voice akin to silver bells chanted through my ears. I was completely entranced I forgot about my battered body for a second. It was enough. I stumbled to my feet and slowly staggered, with haggard breath, in front of the white being.
"Please...run..." I painfully exhaled those words while making sure that man didn't make any sudden movements. He didn't. He just stood there with an amused face as if he was watching a great play.
"Kekeke this is too much I'm barely containing myself. Kekeke ah don't worry I'll make sure you have a wonderful face of despair. Kill the boy first!"
No!! Is what I tried to scream, but just holding myself up was beginning to get impossible. My eyesight blurred I don't know if it was because of the tears or exhaustion, but I obviously didn't have time to figure out.
Then the world turned red. A sinister, blood red. There were sounds of distant cries and yelps, and I thought I heard that man's voice included in that red world. The nearby growling of the wolves faded away and my conscious drifted off. I could barely hear the voice akin to bells right before everything faded away.
"Tsk you worms. Don't worry and rest I'm going to work you to the bone when you wake up."
