《Demonology For Morons》Knowing True Despair

Chapter 8
I’ve come up to a solution to my giant ball of light problem. It’s to see if Master has a solution to it. Though I’m not very optimistic. Master seemed kind of broke since all I ever saw him wearing was that ratty torn up cloak….
Wis +1
I mean it would protect me from the light but…
It probably smells a little corpsey by now…
Also am I really going to stoop as low as too tear the very clothes off of Masters cold and bloody corpse…
Should I steal his stick too? Nah that things too heavy and if I wanted a stick I could get one off the ground. I think I saw a bunch of trees out there before I was blinded.
As I move to Masters body I actually start thinking about Master and his stick. I wonder why he wanted it so bad while he was dying. It’s not like he could’ve used it to make himself better or move the rocks. Maybe it’s a gift from someone or something, it does look kind of nice for a stick and there’s that black shiny stone on the top. You know what, I’m gonna take that shiny stone. I deserve something nice for all that hard work I did for Master.
**************
A few hours of a lot rock moving, a lot of robe tearing, and even more of slamming Master stick against the wall. I come of one torn up but quite usable hooded robe and one shiny black stone richer. Well worth the effort I say.
In any case it’s time to go. This will be the real start of the Heroic tale of the hero of the dark blob and how she saved the great darkness from the evil summoning circles! Then it will culminate in the destruction of the great light in the sky!!!

HEHEHEHE
I’m so excited I can barely contain myself and start giggling quietly while walking back to the exit. However something weird is going on. It’s too quiet…
Where are the idiots?
Did something kill them? But there’s no blood.
Did they leave? But the great light would stop them…
Wait why isn’t the exit bright?
I run outside as fast as I can, not caring I forgot to put up my hood for safety. When I get outside I’m dumbfounded. The great light has dimmed leaving this pale glowing light floating up there. It looks like someone tore it to pieces and left little bits of light all across the sky like blood drops.
HOW?
WHY?
THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY GREAT MOMMENT!
It’s already over. Someone else already beat me too it. My destiny stepped on like some piece of trash. I fall to my knees in despair and start thinking maybe…
Maybe I’m not really a Hero. Maybe this was all just some kind mistake on my part. I mean how could a weak and little imp ever be a hero. I must be even dumber than the idiots…
I mean even my unique power made fun of me. WAIT! I have a unique power! That must mean I’m a Hero! Right?
….Right?
Unique Ability Activate…

An insane Lesser Imp that is realizing it was never a hero. Warning: Due to the brutality and mental instability this monster has shown it should be treated as a rank higher.
…
…Fuck you too …I hate this ability
I slowly get back up and walk over to closest tree and climb it to a high up branch. I lay on it and contemplate what should I do next and is there really a point to doing it. After all, what can an imp even do in the world. I mean let’s be real how could an imp tear up that great light and leave its blood trail across the sky.

After hours pass I stand up on my tree branch and reach the conclusion that nothing worthwhile can be done as an imp so what the point. As I prepare to fall head first in order to break my neck. A light comes up over the forest and streams in through the trees. I quickly throw my hood up to cover my face.
What the fuck.
THAT MOTHERFUCKER! THAT PIECE OF FUCKING SHIT LIGHT! IT WAS JUST FUCKING WITH ME THIS WHOLE TIME! IM GONNA FUCKING KILL IT!
NEW GOAL! Nothing else matters. Fuck being a hero. Fuck being some weak imp. I’m gonna become as strong as I felt back before Master kidnapped me. Then I’m gonna destroy that fucking light and do whatever the fuck I want when I want.

The Lucky Secret
Five years ago, the Tower appeared in the Arctic circle, and people started to disappear. Not that any of this affected Cillian James, who was too busy keeping the lights on with webnovels he didn't want to write to really concern himself with some omniscient tower kidnapping people at random. That is, until Cillian is kidnapped himself, and now he has some very big problems on his hands. Namely, surviving the Tower and its homicidal salamanders and zombies and weirdly affectionate cats, and learning the truth behind the existence of the amulet titled "The Writer's Secret". Cilian isn't particularly athletic, given he spent six years glued to a computer chair, and the Tower can only give him so much strength before he's considered a lost cause, and he's not prepared in the slightest for this. He's a bit weak, he hates killing, and spends more time screaming than he does actually fighting, but if there's one thing he's got going for him, it's his impressive self-perseveration skills. But is surviving truly enough, if it changes you into someone you don't recognize? How much will he have to sacrifice before he can even call himself Cillian?
