Anna and Nina happily agreed, therefore Sam made his way towards the adventurer guild.

He arrived 50 minutes later, only to see the twins already waiting for him. They waved and shouted for him to hurry up.

" Hey you two, you look good. What have you done the last few days and what levels are you at? " Sam smiled and asked the twins when he arrived.

"We searched the surroundings after you had disappeared and killed many monsters, even some orc tribesmen, who were Level 13.

Finally, yesterday both of us reached Level 12. You guys must have killed a lot of monsters too, I mean we got a share of their experience too right?

Linda already told you that we saved Orkan. He got attacked by a group of tribesmen, Nina and I decided to help him and his people out.

Also, as you can see we got some new armor! We got it as a gift from Orkan. It is fur of a rare lion and some steel parts made of a material called Platinum. It gives us +10 defense and speed, as well as +5 stamina and accuracy. It is actually a rare equipment!"

Anna told him with a energetic voice. Nina smiled and puffed out her chest to show off her new armor.

It looked like a short vest. It had no sleeves and the flat, well trained bellies of the twins were exposed. Their chests were protected by a layer of bright colored Platinum.

Anna noticed Sam looking at their bellies, she approached Sam, hugged his arm and continued.

" While we are at the city you can look at this outfit. There is actually another piece to protect the belly but we take it off as long as we aren't fighting."

Sam kept looking at the well trained body of Nina while nodding. He realized the situation a moment later and hastily averted his eyes.

Sam laughed and scratched his head.

" Hahaha, how about we enter and look at the available quests? I also want you two to spar against me, so that I can test my new skill."

The twins nodded and followed Sam into the guild building.

15 to 20 people sat at the tables inside the building in groups of three to five. They were all adventurers.

Sam was surprised to see so many people and after looking around for a few moments he actually concluded that at least three players were mixed in between the people. They still wore sneakers from the former world. Even though they were dirty to the point of being totally black, Sam had been able to see the fading logo.

He ignored it for the time and directly went to the quest board. More than ten sheets were placed on the board.

Sam looked at them.

Quest: Orc Tribesmen Subjugation

Employer: Knights of Valor

Description:

We, the knights of Valor, need a few strong adventurers to be our scout team for the subjugation of the orc tribe, that tyrannies a huge area, including our Whitewall.

The mission will start when ten adventurers of at least the C rank register themselves and come to Whitewall.

Reward: A set amount of silver for each killed orc, as well as the chance of joining the knights of valor, depending on the performance. 800 guild points

Quest: Journey to the south

Employer: Merchant Orkan

Description:

I want to journey to the cities Whitewall and Tomorrowland, to gather information, trading contracts and if possible buisness partners.

I have five personal guards and need another five D rank adventurers. Be aware that the adventurers will be tested by my guards. The journey will be dangerous, therefore I don't want new adventurers without combat experience! The journey will start after the required members register themselves and pass the test.

Sam looked at the twins and said after pointing at the two sheets " I think these two are the most interesting. The subjugation needs C rank adventurers, which are most likely hard to be found right now. The guilds established themselves not even a week ago! We might be able to participate after we finish the second quest and escort Orkan.

I really want to see the other cities and if possible build some friendly relationships. I spoke about it with Orkan before and he told me a few interesting things.

Sam looked st Anna and her sister. Both of them checked the sheets sometimes shaking their heads.

They stopped looking at the board and focused their eyes on Sam. Anna started talking.

" Let's do it as you said."

Nina also nodded and said " yeah let's go."

It took them only a few minutes to meet Orkan.

" So you have come to participate in the test. Who would have thought the king is a traveller too!

Nina, Anna, you two want to escort me as well? I don't have to test your abilities, I have already seen what you two are capable of. In any case I would really like to see how strong you are Sam. Are you fine with a little test?"

Sam smiled and nodded. They went out to the backyard where ten men were doing exercises. Some were doing push-ups and similar exercises while others were sparring with blunt metal weapons.

Orkan clapped and ordered his guards to assemble.

" Pete, this is Sam, I want you to test his strength but don't get too aggressive."

Orkan picked a man about as tall and big as Sam and send him to the sparring field, a paved area in the backyard.

Pete held a shortsword in his big left hand, the right one wasn't holding a weapon.

Sam observed his opponent while making his way to the training field. He decided to use the opportunity and test his new skill, therefore he didn't pick a weapon.

Pete, who was an ugly man with deep scars on his face and foul teeth in his mouth, smiled mockingly and said with a rough voice " I will still fight with a weapon, even though you didn't pick one. Be aware that injuries can happen, even during a friendly sparring like this! You still want to take the test?"

Sam was still smiling when he nodded in response. He was Level 15 after all, how could a simple guard be an opponent for him!
