《World Game》Drogans Labyrinth Dungeon part 3

While Sam and Kain were killing the orcs, Jack and Nissa shot arrows without pause.
Jack used his new skill hitting the centaur multiple times but without a critical hit. He also watched out for Nissa and made sure she didn't got hurt. He had to push her out of the way two times, resulting in him getting scratched by the arrows.
Jack looked at Nissa " I will make sure the centaur doesn't move for a few seconds, you will take the chance and use your skill to kill it!"
Nina had received the ( Penetrating Shot ) skill which enabled her to break through armor with a high possibility. The downside to this skill was that it took a long time to use it.
Nissa had to focus on her target and draw her bow as hard as she could. In order for her to use this skill she needed someone to buy her time and make the enemy hold its position.
Jack approched the centaur while shooting arrows continuously but when he reached 20 meters distance he wanted to grab another arrow only to realize he had no more left.
The centaur took its time to pull out the arrows that hit its legs and hindered its movement. It saw Jack grabbing his empty quiver and drew its bow with an arrogant smile.
Before it could finish drawing the bow its chest got penetrated by an arrow. Nissas arrow had actually entered through the back penetrating the armor at the back too!
The centaur fell to the ground with blood spurting out of its chest and died.
Sam and Kain had killed their opponents too. The dead orcs lay in big pools of their own blood, arms, legs and heads were scattered on the floor around them.

Sam approched Nissa to congratulate her for reaching Level 10. Kain and Jack did the same.
Sam went to the middle of the cave and to the centaurs corpse to look for equipments and skillbooks.
He didn't find anything on the ground, but after stripping the centaur of its leather armor Sam found another skillbook.
The title was nearly unreadable. It took Sam a few moments to decipher the text on the cover.
"..so it isn't an archer skill! It says ( Taming ). Hey Nissa, do you want to learn this skill?" Sam asked but Nissa shook her head and said " Thanks for the offer but I decline! To be honest, I don't want to leave Blackstone City in the future, if possible. I would prefer to train our hunters and archers or manage our defenses.
I think you as the king should learn this skill and improve your combat power!"
Sam nodded and didn't discuss anymore. Jack and Kain agreed with Nissa as well.
" Ok, then let me learn it right now!" Sam told the others and opened the skillbook.
( Taming - This skill enables you to tame normal animals, wild beasts and monsters. In most cases it is enough to knock the creature unconscious, touch its head and activate the skill. Some special cases may need to be fed rare sorts of food or have other restrictions to be tamed. Tamed creatures are able to level up as well and it will be impossible for them to betray the tamer and/ or harm him.
Creatures much stronger than the tamer might be able to resist the skill.
Leveling up this skill will improve the number of creatures that can be tamed at the same time.
Number of creatures that can be tamed right now: 1 )

Sam read through the description two times because he didn't want to miss something.
' This skill is really damn good! I have to level this one up fast, so I can tame more creatures in the future.'
Sam told his comrades about the skill before they left the cave to return to the place they came from.
They were exhausted when they reached the familiar intersection, however they continued to walk towards the big cave they had seen the group of orcs before.
" We have to pass the big cave otherwise we will die down here! We don't have food anymore, that's why we have to find the exit or kill the dungeon boss before we get too weak from malnutrition." Sam told his companions while walking through the tunnel.
Sam and his group carefully approched the cave and took a look at the situation first.
Eight orcs, equipped with swords, halberds and bows stood inside the cave talking to each other.
Sam whispered " What about all of your skills? Have they cooled down?"
Nissa nodded. Her ( Penetrating Shot ) could be used again. Jack and Kain could use one skill each as well.
" Ok, than let's do it like that.."

Steps of the Immortal Tree
Evan stood on a hill, staring calmly at the gate of his former clan. A crowd waited behind him, some eyeing the clan in an unresigned manner, others looking at their spiritual support. Some of the young children shivered at the gnawing cold. Wind howled in his ears, seemingly deploring his fate. A silvery cloud drifted over the mountains surrounding the compound. The roar of a river could be heard from underneath its frozen surface. He had reincarnated many years ago. Hailed as a prodigy from his youngest age, Evan had seemingly tread on a path to invincibility. He had gotten married with his childhood sweetheart and had cultivated with a group of friends, forming a considerable power of his own. Yet now, here he was, devoid of any path to move forward, with his energy locus destroyed. His wife was dead and his branch had been kicked out of the clan. He looked at his progeny that had been entrusted to him. The baby seemed content in his father’s strong arms, too young to understand anything but the warmth of the father’s beating heart. Signaling to the people behind him, he turned around and the procession gradually disappeared in the distance, as the sun gradually set and the stars acted as a guide. --- Author-san here.
