Chapter 1- The (mis)adventure of the president!
“Huh? Where...am I?” Looking around Kouta found himself in a mysterious room he never seen before. He was laid about on large purple bed with drapes blocking anything outside the bed.
“Ahh finally awake?” Looking around Kouta recognized the voice to be Kuro and knew something was amiss. “Kuro? Is that you? Where are you?” Looking around, he stopped when he saw silhouette. Kouta waited as it got larger, revealing Kuro.
“There you are. What did you do th..is...ti...me…..” Kouta couldn’t help but trail off when he gaze at Kuro. She sported a black lingerie. Kuro’s body is rather small and petite, yet Kouta couldn’t help but stare. A mixture of sexy and cute was the appearance she gave off.
“Don’t stare too much~” Kuro spoke in a soft tone while shifting towards him. “Say since we’re already here. How about some ‘bonding time?’ Just you and me.” Kuro closed the distance and locked with one of his arms. Moving up and down, she rubbed herself against him.
In any normal situation any boy would jump at the chance, especially if the girl is willing. However… “Are you an idiot?!” Responding with a chop, Kouta smacked Kuro’s head.
“Ow~ What was that for?” Kuro responded in an innocent tone but Kouta wouldn’t be fooled. “I have duty today! Stop playing around.” Making a pouting face she snapped her finger and the entire scenery changed. Kouta and Kuro were back in his room. Immediately checking his clock he raced out to get ready.
Spending the next couple of minutes getting ready, Kouta rushed down for a quick meal. Kuro was already sitting on the couch in her previous attire from yesterday, watching Kouta as he does his things. She watched from the couch, engross in his every action.
“Of all days. Shit, I need to hurry.” Cursing to himself, Kouta hastily prepared to leave. “I don’t see what’s so important about this ‘student council’ that you are a part of. If you simply quit then we get more time to be together.” Complaining, Kuro skip over to Kouta.
“Unlike you, who is an immortal and the personification of death, I have such dilemma. Besides I have my reasons.” Grumbled Kouta.
“Ohh, like that girl?” Popping up behind him, Kuro hugged him but her icy tone betrayed the warm embrace. “You aren’t secretly having an affair with her are you?” A murderous aura wrapped around them as she waited for an answer.
“Of course not...besides you would have killed me if I did so.” Kouta answered back while whispering the last part of the sentence to himself. Kuro stayed silent for a moment before breaking off. “I see. That’s good. If you ever did I would have to cut up your limbs and punish you for being unfaithful.”
Kuro’s tone returned back the sweet and innocent tone but her words betrayed any sanity once again. Ignoring the chilling comment and quickly finishing up he grabbed his lunch and left. “Wait. At least give your girlfriend a goodbye kiss!” Rushing out the door, Kouta ignored Kuro’s requests and hurried to the school.

The morning sun was up and not a single cloud in sight. Running all the way there, Kouta managed to reach the school in time. Heading to class just as he bell rang, he made it to his seat.
“Oh hey. And here I was wondering where you were. Did that break up from yesterday affect you that much?” The comment came from Izumi who was sitting in his seat. A small smirk formed at the corner of his lips as he awaited Kouta arrival. “Get off of my seat Izumi and no.”
Answering his question Kouta got Izumi off of his seat and class began. Class began as per usual and went by until it was eventually lunch time. As everyone was dispersing an announcement was made. “Student council members please report to the room.” On cue Kouta packed his lunch and made his way over just as the intercom announcement finished.
Walking a fair distance he eventually reached a room and walked in. It was a small room with a circular desk arranged in the middle. Some students were already sitting down by the time Kouta arrived. Taking his seat the next few minutes passed as everyone waited for the rest of the student council members to arrive. The last of which was the president.
“It seems that I’m the last one here. My apologies for making everyone wait.” Making her way in was the president of the freshman student council, Minami Rin. She stood just a bit shorter than Kouta but had a dignified appearance to her. The way she showed herself was the epitome of grace and class.
A beautiful face complimented her body and manner. Her long glistening dark hair ran all the way down to her shoulders and then some. Her brown eyes reflected off from her glasses, like jewels in the light. The only oddity was her rather voluminous breast that seemed out of place for a young girl.
Taking her seat they all got to work. For the next half an hour or so they discussed topics ranging from the different classes, clubs, planning of events, and many other topics. All of which were resolved rapidly due to the president’s input.
There was an air of maturity that surrounded Rin while she was working. Even the member of the student council were memorized by how swiftly and efficiently she solved the problem. By the end of it, they had finished all that they had plan to discuss and more so.
One by one the other members headed out until the only one that remained was Kouta and Rin.
“Is that everyone?” asked Rin, whom just finished another stack of paper.
“Yeah that should be about it. You can relax now.” The moment Kouta answered Rin’s question she let out a loud air of exasperation and slump towards the desk, face down. “Finally~” Rin replied in a soothing voice.
If anyone were to come in at that moment they would be shock to see their dignified student council president in such as state. Gone was her grace, replaced with an air of relief and laziness.
“So want to eat lunch then? I brought your favorite today.” Taking out the lunch from morning, Rin instantly jumped and grabbed her portion. “Yayyy!” Opening it and chowing down, she stuffed food into her mouth.
“Hey! Don’t eat it all at once. Chew and swallow!” cried Kouta, stopping her from eating Kouta’s portion as well.
“uhh..umm….ummm” Rin couldn’t answer properly with a ton of food in her mouth. Shaking his head in resignation, they ate lunch together. Continuing to gouge down on the food, she finished within minutes. “Ahhh, that was delicious. Thanks Kouta!”

A large and warm smile accompanied Rin’s thank you. “It’s no problem. Knowing you, you would have died a long time ago if it wasn’t for me.”
The thing that Kouta was referring to was Rin and her role as the student council president. Her family owned a famous shrine in the city and was quite influential throughout the city. She was raised under strict rules and was expected to uphold the family honor. Because of this, she was admitted as the student council president. However it was more accurate to say that she was forced into the role than anything else.
Constantly having to put on a front and acting in manner that befits her family is taxing. Lucky Kouta and Rin were childhood friends as well, as such Kouta knew of Rin’s special condition and helped out whenever he came. Namely his help revolves around a watcher, making sure it was safe for her to put away the facade. And also as a cook as Rin often indulges herself and yet never gets fat.
“I can never get tired of your cooking Kouta. I’m so full that I don’t think I can eat another bite.” Making an exaggerated burping motion she rubbed her stomach. “I see. So I can have all these mochi’s to myself them.”
Pulling out another box, this time it was filled with a wide array of different color mochi. “Ohh I want some!~” Reaching over she grabbed a handful and stuffed them into her mouth.
“What happen to being full?”
“Uhmm. Uhhmmm. Uhmmm.” Again her response was muffled from all the food in her mouth. Letting out a small chuckle Kouta joined in. Within minutes they finished up their meal.
“Now I am full. Thanks for the meal, again!” Her cheery response was meet with a small smile from Kouta. Spending the next couple of minutes the two chatted for a bit. Rin mostly talked about her situation and what was going on.
In the midst of it, Kouta started to notice something. Finally he asked the question. “Rin, is there something bothering you?”
“Whaat? No...no. There’s nothing bothering me.” Kouta only grew more suspicious at Rin’s rather poor response. From the way she acted Kouta knew that it certainly was a big deal. “I see. Well if you’re not willingly to tell me then I guess that does not make us friends anymore. Guess that means I won’t be making lunch for you anymore.”
Immediately turning towards Kouta, Rin looked as if the end of world was about to take place. “No. No please, you’re too cruel. Alright I’ll tell you….I have a fiancé.”
“A fiancé?” The thought of an arrange marriage was uncommon for Kouta but he could see it as Rin’s family is powerful. “Is that all.” Kouta replied in a nonchalant way that angered Rin.
“Well it may not be a big deal for you but to me…It is basically condemning me.” said Rin making a pouting face.
“Marriage isn’t that bad Rin. Besides you haven't even meet your finance yet. You should save judgement until you know more about him.” Reasoned Kouta.
The two stayed silent for a moment. Not knowing what to say before Rin let out a heavy sigh while leaning back into her chair. “Still an arrange marriage with someone I don’t know. it’s scary. If anything I would like to marry you instead.”
“Phhhhhh.” Kouta spat out what he was drinking as he heard Rin’s statement. It was more out of shock then surprise. The two had known each other for many years and so the two were well acquainted. As a child Kouta knew of Rin’s situation and knew that the chances of the two being a pair was very slim.
So he simply blocked away so that it wouldn’t cause trouble later on. It would be a lie to say that Kouta never once considered feelings for her. But Kouta never truly understood what Rin’s feeling towards him were.
Wiping his mouth he looked over to see Rin’s face hunched over, making it impossible to see what expression she had on. This only made Kouta even more embarrassed as he could feel it getting red.
“Wh...What are you saying you idiot? You can’t exactly go against your family. Besides, no doubt they choose some perfect candidate for your finance. Me on the other hand. Well I’m lacking in some ‘cool’ area.”
“I...I think there are some cool things about you!” Immediately interjecting Rin continued. “Yo...You’re smart and...and you are a great cook. And you’re kind and generous. I say those are ‘cool’ aspects that you have.” Shyly answered Rin who revealed a reddened face.
An awkward silence came to pass as the two avoided eye contact with one another.
“I-Is that true?” Unable to bear the silence, Kouta spoke up. Upon hearing Rin’s response, his mind wandered at the possibility.
“I-I mean…if I marry you instead then…then…I get to eat whatever I want!”
*BANG*
Upon hearing Rin’s answer, Kouta’s head dropped and hit the table faster than dropping a brick into water. A loud banging noise reverberated throughout the room from Kouta’s action. ‘I figured as much’ thought Kouta.
Kouta’s was soon reminded of what kind of person Rin was. The Rin he grew up with was a ditzy, carefree girl that loved stuffing her face more than anything. While lamenting, Kouta couldn’t help but laugh at the situation in it’s entirely.
“Kouta? Hey, are you alright?” asked Rin.
“I figure as much. You think more with your stomach than anything else.” Commented Kouta, sitting back up.
“Hey! What’s that supposed to mean?!” angrily answering back, Rin began to lightly hit Kouta on the shoulder, all the while he playfully fought back. The mood slowly shifted to one of happiness as the two playfully messed with one another.
“It seems that you two are having a fun time together.”
A sudden voice called out. Immediately that air turned cold and stale. It was Kuro’s voice. ‘Oh no…’ Kouta thought, as the temperature of the room seemingly dropped. Kouta wasn’t the only one that sensed the disturbance as Rin nervously glanced around the room.
Frantically looking around, his eyes settled on a dark corner of the room. For some reason, he couldn’t bring his sight away from that one spot. Slowly a figure was making its way out of the shadow. Stepping out, Kuro was in full view.
Following Kouta’s line of sight, Rin too stared at the mysterious girl. “Hey Kouta, is she someone you know?” Rin asked.
“Ohh, I guess he never told you. I’m Kuro, Kouta’s girlfriend. Nice to meet you.” Greeting Rin, Kuro casually made her way forward. Her words were sweet, as if laced with poison.
“Kuro! Wait, just calm down and…”
Before Kouta could finish his sentence, something flew towards him. Flying faster than the eye could track, blood began to spurt from his shoulder. Staggering back in pain, the item Kuro threw was her knife.
Dashing forward, Kuro plucked the knife from his shoulder and readied herself for another strike. Raising his hand in defense, Kuro plunged the knife through Kouta’s hand and straight onto the table. Pinning him down.
“Here I am, being a good girlfriend and bring my beloved boyfriend my homemade lunch. And what do I see him doing? Flirting with some cow…”
Staring down at Kouta, Kuro’s eyes were black and void, deprived of anything form of sympathy or sanity. Twisting the knife, pain coursed through Kouta’s body.
“Does it hurt my dear Kouta? Well this pain is only a fraction of what I’m feeling.” Pulling out her second knife, she carefully ran it along the pinned arm. Applying a bit of pressure, a small incision was made, with blood slowly seeping out.
“Hey!! What are you planning on doing to Kouta.” Screaming, Rin’s voice was filled with anxiety as she watched from the side.
Rushing towards Kouta, Kuro halted her. Bringing out her second knife, she brandished the weapon in Rin’s face. “This doesn’t concern you Cow. Once I deal with him, you’ll have your turn.” Frozen, Kuro turned her attention back to Kouta.
“Now then, naughty boys deserves punishment. I’ll start by cutting your arms and legs off and then…”
“I said…Get off of him!!” Screaming, Rin cut Kuro off by punching her in the face. Knocking her back, Rin quickly removed the knife. Wincing in pain, Kouta freed himself.
“You…Cow!!! Do you know who is it that you just hit?” Standing back up, a small bruise could be seen on Kuro’s cheek. Darkness was seeping everywhere, distorting the room around them. It was clear as day that Kuro was angry.
“I don’t know who you are…but I know what you are. Prepare to be erase!” Angrily replying back, Rin reached into her pockets and pull out several long sheets of white paper. On them were strange markings. They were paper talisman.
“Do you think that some flimsy paper will save you?!” Kuro roared, charging forward with her knife. In spite of that, Rin remained calm and vigilant.
“Be cleanse. Be pure. Beseech my will with that of your strength. Grant me the power to cleanse the impure.” Chanting, the paper began to radiate a majestic light. “Purify!” Throwing the paper towards Kuro, it stopped a few centimeter from her face.
Before anyone could act, light began to radiate from the paper. Each second past, the light grew in intensity before filling the room with the blinding light. “Ahhh!” Kuro’s scream could be heard amongst the light
Simmering down, slowly Kouta’s sight was returning to him. And when it did, he couldn’t believe his eyes. Kuro was knocked backward. But it wasn’t just that, she was on the ground, writhing in pain. Kuro’s body was smoking and steaming, as if the light from before burns her very existence.
“I…that…hurts…you….you hurt me…” Utter disbelief could be heard in Kuro’s voice. Even Kouta was unable to accept the reality of it all. “Who…who the hell are you?” Kuro asked.
“Who am I? I am Rin Minami and you’ll pay for what you did to Kouta! Prepare to be cleanse!” Finishing her speech, Rin took a stance, readying herself for whatever Kuro had planned.
Kuro’s eyes narrowed on Rin, re-focusing all of her attention on the prey before her. “Rin Minami?” Kuro snickered, helping herself back up. “Alright Cow, you have my attention!”

Originally when I was planning the concept for the chapter, I decided to go for the stereotypical child friend character. And half way in, I thought to myself. "Wow, this is so cliche." So it was back to the drawing board. After some much needed planning and revisions, I came to my new decision on her character.
Hopefully, this works out.

WARNING TO MY USUAL READERS: This is not my usual style of story. I've decided to turn this into an anthology of short one-shot stories, that are very atypical of my usual stories or style. Some will be horror, others romance, and others just stupid silly ideas I have. Basically, a collection of shorts I write when I need a break from my usual writing style. I'll include a summary at the start of each "chapter" telling you what to expect. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE SUMMARY! The content and quality of each story will probably vary wildly. (One is even a horror romance featuring an eldritch horror. I promise it's weirder than it sounds.) If you do want to check out my usual writing, be sure to take a gander at my ongoing series, Of Men and Dragons. It's a bit of a long haul at this point, but hopefully it's worth the read!
