The sun rose and the sunlight piercing through the blinds woke Haiyang from his sleep. He noticed it was early and grew excited. He ran outside, up the tree, and sat down to cultivate.

With the warm sunlight hitting his fur and the calming breeze to calm him he started to cultivate. He absorbed the yang qi from the air into his own body. Combing the qi from the air with his own misty yang qi he started to refine his sun imprints on his muscles.

Meditating and meditating, absorbing and refining Haiyang did this till much past noon. This session of cultivating brought him many gains. First, he learned that at noon the yang qi was the strongest. His absorbing of yang qi and refining of sun imprints. It wasn’t a very prominent difference but still enough to help him quite a bit.

Second, he was able to bring his sun imprints to full completion. This is what he started to call the low-level stage as the imprints were a very light color and still had much refining to be done. From his experience with the moon imprints, he had to get the imprints to at least late stage before moving on to other areas.

After organizing information and making a few final touches on his imprints Haiyang opened his eyes. He looked towards the ground and saw Shizi waving him down.

“Let’s go back to Passing Moon Market to get you some more herbs,” Shizi happily said when Hiayang got down. So with Haiyang in tow, the duo started their way to the market.

The usual loudness of the merchants and bustling citizens welcomed them to the market. Haiyang, even though he hated the bustling cities, loved the market and made him quite happy.

Walking closer to the same herb shop as last time the duo made their way through the crowd. When they arrived in front of the shop they walked in with some joy and energy.

They walked in and were assaulted by the smell of medicine. Following Shizi to the counter, Haiyang thought about how to tell Shizi that he didn’t need yin herbs.

At the counter, Shizi asked, “Can I see the latest shipment of yin herbs….”

Haiyang pawed at Shizi’s leg and shook his head.

“What, you don’t want herbs,” Shizi asked?

Haiyang shook his head in response.

“So you want herbs just not yin herbs,” Shizi asked again?

Haiyang nodded his head.

“What herbs do you want then,” Shizi asked puzzled?

Haiyang looked around and studied each of the herbs. He found some that gave off a feeling of heat. He walked up to the glass, placed his hand on the glass, and let out a small “growl”.

“Those are yang herbs,” Shizi exclaimed with concern, “They are completely opposite from the yin type cultivation you do. If you try to use them they could have catastrophic effects on your cultivation base. They could even cripple your meridians.”

Haiyang didn’t care and slapped his paw against the glass and “growled” again.

“Even though I don’t want to I’ll get you the yang herbs,” defeatedly said Shizi. He turned to the attendant and said, “Some of your best yang herbs please.”

The attended left to the back to get whatever herbs they had.

Moments later the attendant returned with 3 boxes of herbs. She placed them down in front of Shizi and opened them.

In each box, there was a different herb. In one a small pile of tea leaves with few sparkles of red. In another, a flower that reminded Haiyang of a daffodil but the edges were tinged a red hue. The final box carried a piece of red bark from some type of tree.

Looking at each of the boxes Shizi was in deep thought. He carefully thought about the right herb to buy.

After a moment, Shizi said, “I’ll take a few fire flowers, two pieces of fire bark, a few blades of lava grass, and one stalk of lava reeds.”

The attendant ran to the back and get the order ready. She came back within minutes carrying a large number of boxes. She placed each one on the counter and said, “90,000 taels of silver.”

In one quick movement, Shizi took out three bags each jingled with the sound of metal on metal. He placed each of the bags in front of the attendant and swept the herbs up and placed them into the cloth bag on his waist.

Haiyang never noticed this before but the bag gave off a faint aura. He guessed it was spatial storage bag like in the novels.

Noticing Haiyang’s gaze Shizi said, “This is a spatial storage pouch. It only has the space of three cubic meters.”

Haiyang dumbly nodded.

With their transaction done the duo strolled out of the shop. Looking for anything of interest they walked down the streets.

On the busy streets, Shizi and Haiyang made their way through the crowds with ease.

Shizi looked down at Haiyang smiled and said, “Let’s go to the weapon shop. I’m in need of a new sword.”

The duo walked up the street and arrived in front of a building. There was a sign that said “Iron Pavilion” in big and steady characters. When they got to the door a man clad in a leather tunic and black pants rushed out the door.

The man bumped into Shizi before running off. Two robust men came out wearing a silver robe with the characters for Iron Pavilion on the right side of the chest. They both yelled, “AND STAY OUT!!”

Shizi grabbed towards his waist where usually his storage pouch rest. To his dismay, he discovered that it wasn’t there. His mind raced through all of the possibilities but it took but just a moment before he realized it was taken by the man just then. Shizi yelled, “GRAB THAT THIEF!” He began to run after the thief while Haiyang followed suit.

Chasing the thief the duo ran with their fastest speed, maneuvering their way through the crowd of citizens. They spotted the man turning a corner, and they sped up and turned the corner into an alleyway. The thief stood there cornered between the buildings.

The man laughed and said, “Should've just left me alone kid. I’m way out of your league. I’m a peak grade 6th rank qi condensation basher.”

Haiyang was startled in fear. He started thinking about how Shizi could win but not without paying a price. Haiyang didn’t know what a basher was but just chalked it up to being one of the martial art “classes”.

Shizi stepped forward confidently saying, “Only a peak 6th-grade basher. Please, I can easily deal with that!” Shizi then rushed forward with violet lightning covering his legs. His speed extremely fast and in a blink of an eye, he traversed the distance of 6 meters appearing in front of the thief.

With a lightning covered arm Shizi sent out a punch hitting the thief in the chest. Without time to react the thief was sent flying back crashing into the wall. While the man sliding to the ground Haiyang saw burnt flesh where Shizi hit.

Shizi laughed saying, “I forgot to say but I’m a lightning element blade runner, and I just broke through to the 7th stage. Like how I said last time, I’m very talented. My mood is fouled though so let’s just go back to the manor. In the morning I’ll have someone use the herbs for a medical bath.” Shizi walked up and took back his storage pouch.

Haiyang just stared and followed Shizi. His thoughts raced at the different types of cultivators and what he could be in the future.

By the time they got back to the manor Haiyang had already thought of 100s of possible “classes”. He woke up from his thoughts when they walked into Shizi’s courtyard.

Shizi went straight to his study while Haiyang went back up the tree. He started to cultivate while the sun was still up.

When the sun started to set he climbed down and went to his little bed. He thought about a few things but slept soon afterward.
