《Lord of The Heavenly Villa》60 - That's The Only Way

Acma let out all the burden in his heart, so what happened in this battle won’t affect him anymore. Not now, not in the future. These knights were on their way to kill the villagers so he had to stop them. He already asked them to turn around, but they replied his request with an unsheathed swords.
Acma turned his head around, looking at the disappearing body of the knights. He bowed his head a little as an offer of respect.
A while after, only armours and weapons were left. Acma was thinking about leaving them here but he suddenly had a better idea.
“Alice, collect all these equipment and bring them to me”, he ordered.
“Yes, Master”
All the guardians began to move their limbs and collecting the armours and the weapons on the floor before gathered them in front of Acma. While waiting for all the equipment were collected, Acma took a glance at his current status.
“Open: Status”
Acma Heart Level 374 Race Human Class Emissary of Void HP 19150/19150 MP 176370/188750 Dark Mana 8700 Strength 1542 Agility 1311 Intelligence 2213 Luck 310 Unallocated point(s) 30 Title Lord of The Heavenly Villa, The Benevolent, The Grand Summoner, The Puppeteer
“Oh”, he startled, “My dark mana increased”
“Hmmmm.... I killed 58 knights and half of their mounts. That means 100 dark mana per kill. That’s probably right”, he thought.
“Should I try my Dark Magic now?” he muttered to himself. “Maybe not”, he stopped himself.
A while after, his lovely fairy Alice flew back and reported.
“Everything is here, Master”
“Thank you, Alice”
He kept all the equipment in his inventory as well as all his guardians.
“Lets go, Alice. To the Orca Village”
‘TELEPORT’
A second later, he appeared in front of the main hall in the Orca Village. He unequipped his helmet and then looked around.
He saw a group of women and children sitting together at the empty space next to the main hall. They didn’t do anything in particular. Some of them just talking and laughing together while some others looked worried and restless. From time to time, some of them would take a look at the village’s entrance as if something would suddenly barged into the village.
Acma turned his head toward the archer’s platform next to the entrance. Only a few hunters were standing guard as their eyes staring dagger at the forest surrounding the village.
“Hey look, the kid is back”, someone shouted when he noticed Acma standing in front of the main hall.
“Call the Chief”, his friend urged.
“You call. I still have things to do”
“Tsk.. You lazy bum. Let me call the chief then”
Acma turned around and waived at the duo who were dismantling the unneeded platform near the entrance. On of them ran toward the residential area, probably yo call for Chief Pai.
Acma entered the main hall and waiting for Chief Pai to arrive.
A few minutes later, Chief Pai arrived. Acma who was sitting on the chair immediately stood up and greet him.
Apprentice Knight Pai Chow LVL 37
The first thing Acma noticed when Chief Pai entered the hall was the latter’s level. It was increased several levels compared to yesterday. Acma’s puzzlement was clearly shown on his face and it was noticed by Chief Pai.

“Are you that happy meeting this old man?” Chief Pai questioned.
Acma scratched his head a little. Looks like Chief Pai was misunderstood.
“Your level, it increased”
Acma was puzzled because there should be no attack on the village yesterday. Maybe Chief Pai went out hunting, but that probability was low because Chief Pai was needed at the village in this uncertain situation. As far as he knew, to gain experience was only by killing. He had done several things other than killing like rescuing the miner goblins, saving the divine beast, subjugating a centaur’s village, eliminating the threat of werewolves and saving the Boulder Town residents, but he never get any experience to increase his level from that.
“Owh, you noticed. Haha. I completed the tasks taken at the Beginner Village and levelled up”, Chief Pai answered with a happy smile on his face.
Acma raised his brows because didn’t expect that answer.
“Tasks from Beginner Village? Owh, I remember you talked about it before. But I thought you would get points only from those tasks”
“That’s what we initially thought too. But after several hunters reported the same thing about getting the experiences from completing the tasks, everyone began grinding those tasks. Unfortunately, I was busy so I only levelled up five times”, Chief Pai explained.
“Haahhh”, Acma sighed.
“Looks like I lost quite a benefit from Beginner Village”, he thought. “But in the second thought, although I lost some benefits, what I’ve got from Void is definitely better that what I probably get from the Beginner Village”
“Why did you sighed?” asked Chief Pai.
“I wish I have the same option to level up”
“Option?”
“Yes, an option to level up by completing the tasks from the Beginner Village”
Instantly, Chief Pai’s face look shocked. A while after, it regain it’s calm.
“So it’s true. I heard from Wang Tian that you never go to the Beginner Village” Chief Pai said.
“Yes, it is true”
Chief Pai stroke his chin and rub it slowly. He looks like was thinking something.
“Your only way to level up is killing monsters?” asked Chief Pai.
“For now, that’s the only way for me”, replied Acma.
“...”
“It doesn’t necessarily a bad thing”
“Yeah”, Acma agreed. “It’s just that my level will be stagnant if I didn’t kill. By the way, may I know the villager’s decision about the attack this time? Do they want to fight or to relocate?”
Acma changed the subject. Lingering around this subject for too long, it would lead into an endless philosophical debate between lawful and unlawful killing for example. So Acma had to divert the issue because he didn’t want to talk about it. For him, he killed when he had to kill. Like killing the Knight of Forest who were attacking the Orca Village.
“...”
Chief Pai was quiet for a second. He seem to be hesitated either to continue with the previous topic or not.
“We already have a decision”, Chief Pai spoke as he could see Acma’s restlessness. “The villagers agreed to relocate and we already made the preparation. Since you’re already here, we can proceed anytime. Actually, it’s quite difficult to get everyone’s consent, but after we told them about all the risks if they stay here, they finally agreed”, explained Chief Pai.

“That’s great”, a faint smile flashed through his face.
“What is it? You don’t look happy”
“It’s nothing, Uncle. I think that the villagers made a right decision”
“Hmmmm... You’re suspicious. You must be hiding something”, Chief Pai accused.
“Let’s relocate the villagers first”, said Acma dodging the subject as he smiled wryly.
It’s not like he was hiding anything. It’s just that he felt that their decision was a bit late. They should relocate two days ago after the second battle. After defeating the enemies twice, it was highly possible that there will be another strike from a stronger troops until the village was destroyed because the enemies really hate human. It’s a logical conclusion. But, although the decision to relocate was a bit later, it was still a good decision.
Chief Pai smirked haughtily and stroked his chin. Then he smiled.
“Whatever it is, all the villagers and I are really appreciate what you’ve done to us”, he said and tapped Acma’s shoulder multiple times.
Acma smiled. It did feel good being appreciated.
“Thank you, Uncle Pai”, said Acma.
Both of them walked out of the main hall and headed toward the gathering area near the village’s entrance.
Outside the main hall, Chief Pai asked a hunter who was having a conversation with his friends near the main hall to call for everyone in the village to gather at the empty space next to the main hall. Listening to Chief Pai’s order, the hunter and his friends run toward the residence and the other areas to call every villagers.
While waiting for the villagers to gather, Acma told Chief Pai that he wanted to survey the empty area in front of the nokium mine. He didn’t want any mishap happened during the relocating process if there were any danger lurking around the places. By doing an inspection, he could prevent the villagers from being attacked by the enemies as soon as they relocated to the place.
After making sure that there were no dangers around the nokium mine’s entrance, he went to meet Old and Shield, leaders of the Miner Goblin inside the mine to make some arrangement about the soon to be arriving villagers from the Orca Village.
15 minutes later, he returned to Orca Village.
“I’m back. Is everything ready?”, Acma asked Chief Pai as soon as he met the latter at the main hall. Inside the hall, Chief Pai was talking with several elders and squad leaders.
“Owh? Their level increased too”, Acma thought when he looked at the name plate on top of their head.
“Yes, everything is ready”, replied Chief Pai. He was wearing a green hunting suit with a bow on his left hand and a quiver strapped on his right waist.
“Okay, Let’s go”
Outside the main hall, every villagers had gathered. The hunters, ready with their equipment were surrounding the non combatants in the middle to protect them after they’ve been teleported. A few hunters were still standing guard on the platform and Chief Pai had informed Acma that those guard will join them shortly.
Acma took a deep breath. Deep inside his heart, he felt a bit of anxiety and worry because this is the first time he teleported a big number of people at once. Previously, he only teleported Chief Pai and Elder Ma. There weren’t any problem at that time because maybe it was only two person. But this time, he had to teleport more than a hundred people. So it was quite a challenge.
“Everyone, I’ll teleport all of you shortly. Please keep calm and do not move”, said Acma.
A murmurs could be heard from the crowd as a few of them were holding each others hand. Some of the hunters were visibly seen tighten their grip on their weapon as the tried to hide the anxiousness on their face.
“It’s safe, right?” someone shouted.
“...”
“I don’t know”, replied Acma in his head but he could utter that answer.
Suddenly, a hand tapped his shoulder. It was Chief Pai’s hand and he tried to calm Acma.
“Elder Ma and I had an experience been teleported by Acma before, and I assure you that it was safe”, said Chief Pai. “You might feel a bit dizzy after you reach the new place, so keep calm until you’re aware of your new surrounding”
Acma felt grateful because the villagers were calmer right after Chief Pai gave his assurance.
Then he visualized the empty space in front of the Nokium mine as a huge light circle began to materialized below everyone’s feet. The light circles were formed by an intertwined rune-like designs and it took a minute to cover every villagers.
“Uncle Pai, please call back the guard”
“Duo Nan, call everyone”
“Yes, Chief”
A while after, everyone had gathered.
“TELEPORT”
The light circles enveloped everyone and soon after, they vanished into nothingness.
In front of Nokium mine, the situation was calm when suddenly a ball of light appeared out of nowhere. That light exploded and covered the entire area in front of the mine and then disappeared.
“Where are we?” a voice was heard after the light disappeared.
“I don’t know, let’s wait for the Chief”
“What Chief said was right, the teleportation is safe, but I do feel dizzy”
“Luckily it still bearable”
“Yeah”
Standing at the front, Acma was smiling when he realized that everyone were safe during teleportation.
“Uncle Pai, can you check if everyone are okay or not?” he asked Chief Pai who was standing next to him.
“Hmmmmm...”, Chief Pai’s gaze swept across everyone in front of him. “They look okay to me. I’ll inform you again if there is anything wrong. Thank you very much, Acma. You save us again”
“You’re welcome, Uncle Pai”
“Let’s go, kid. We need everyone to settle down as soon as possible”
“Okay”
“Master, there is a call from Mr. Shi”, suddenly Alice’s voice was heard as she flew out of Acma’s chest. Everyone around Acma stopped and paid their attention to Alice.
Acma’s heart skipped a beat when he heard that.
“Did the knights move into the town already?” he thought.
“Connect us”, said Acma.
“Yes, Master”
The call was connected.
[H. H.. hello.. hello.. Is this Acma?]
Mr Shi’s voice was stuttered and it sound that he was in fright.
“Yes Mr Shi. This is Acma”, Acma hurriedly replied.
[Young friend, please help us]
Acma and everyone around him frowned.
