‘BLACK HOLE’, he said slowly.

As soon as Acma said it, a black sphere instantly appeared on top of kings head. Its size was about 5 metres in diameter. A sucking sound could be heard from the sphere as the surrounding mist began to move in and then disappeared. The sucking forces of the sphere was really strong, even a gale of wind slowly forming around it, clearing more and more blood mist in the area.

As for the lizard king below the sphere, it was struggling violently, trying to escape the sucking forces from the black sphere above its head. However, how can it escape the force of nature, formed by the extremely powerful gravity. The kings body slowly floating upwards and then disappeared into the nothingness.

The two dozens lizard that previously congregated around the king, upon seeing their king perished by the might of the black sphere, began to scatter. But, no matter how fast they move their legs to escape, bit by bit, their bodies slowly came to halt and then dragged away by the Black Hole sucking forces. They also perished like their king.

In a mere 1 minute, everything within 100 meters from the black sphere was disappeared. A crater of 50 meters deep was formed in the ground. The mist have been thinned out close to 500 meters. With the mist cleared, the aftermath of destruction could be seen. Nothing was spared within the spell radius.

Watching the scenery in front of him, Acma couldn’t help but smile when he remembered about how he painstakingly spinning his body to create a gale to disperse the mist.

The lizards started to scatter away from the battle zone, leaving Acma alone at the edge of the crater, formed by his spell earlier.

“This spell was really effective. But mana consumption was too high. This tier 1 alone ate 1500 points of my mana. If this spell can be used below tier 1, it will be really great”, he was in deep thought while looking at the crater in front of him.

After a while, he turned around and continue his journey.

His journey was way easier than before. Most of the lizards would gave away and scampered. Only a few of them were ignorant enough to attack him. Even if he was attacked, if possible, he would avoid them and hasten his steps.

After traversing the mist for another half an hour, Acma finally come out from the mist.

“Colours, lot of colours. No more bloody red mist. Hahahaha”, Acma laughed out loudly as soon as he emerged from the mist.

The entire journey inside the mist was a real torment for him. He hastened his pace away from the mist region. Looking at the bright blue sky above his head bring enormous joy in his heart. Since he was still closed to the mist and the lizards territory, he doesn’t want to stop to rest to avoid an attack. The lizards was really a headache for him.

While walking through the valley, his eyes was wandering around, looking for anything interesting. With Identify, he could determine the worth of anything that caught his attention. If he found a herb for example, he would sampled it and took it into his inventory. Although he doesn’t know how to used these herbs, the healer at Orca Village might be able to use it.

Currently he was hiking uphill. It wasn’t too high and there was a high cliff at both right and left side. In the beginning, no beast was seen. But as soon as he reached the summit, he heard a flapping sound coming from above.

‘SCCCRRRRRRKKKKKYYYAAAAA’

That beast gave a loud scream to notice its group. Soon after, a swoop of harpies were flocking between the cliff. They were fugly and keep screaming even for a tiniest thing. These fugly birds were really annoying.

However, Acma had a big grin on his face while looking at those fugly birds.

“These birds come at right time. They will make a good target to test my theory on Black Hole spell”, thought Acma.

After he exit the blood mist, he keep thinking about the Black Hole spell mechanism. The answer he was looking for was either that spell could be released with lower mana consumption or not. Tier 1 of Black Hole spell used 1500 mana and it was too big for the current Acma and it wasn’t practical. Smaller Black Hole was more efficient to battle multiple enemies.

With the appearance of those fuglies, he would have enough opportunities to find the answer. Acma summoned his great wolf and waiting for an attack.

Those harpies didn’t wait long to begin their attack. They alternated between a physical attack with claws and an elemental attack which in form of wind blades formed by flapping their wings. Facing these kind of attacks, Acma just ignored all the wind blade attacks and focused his attention to the harpies that dived in from the sky to attack him physically. In coordination with his great wolf, he avoided all those harpies and let his great wolf to battle them.

His great wolf was a great fighter. Before the harpies could flew back to the sky, it would jump and slammed those pitiful harpies down to the ground. Then it casually bite their neck with its powerful jaws and killed them.

“Good. Now Silver got the attention of those harpies. Lets start the experiment”, he thought.

“Black Hole”

A fist sized black sphere instantly appeared above the head of one of the harpies. The suction force from the black hole immediately devoured its head.

“Success. One tenth of tier 1 mana consumption and it stay for 6 seconds. Good. Now, lets try with 200 mana” “Black Hole”

‘...’

Nothing happened.

“So its failed. Maybe it will be successful with 300 mana” “Black Hole”

He targeted a space between two harpies and a black sphere with a size slightly bigger than a fist appeared. Before those harpies could do anything, their wing have been destroyed by the sphere and they fell to the ground.

“Hahaha. Now it was confirmed. Below tier 1, this spell is divided to 10 levels”, said Acma happily while he masterfully dodged an attack.

“Lets started another experiment”

Acma was delighted with his finding. Now he want to test another theory, releasing multiple Black Hole at once. To do this, he targeted several harpies that was busy with their wind blades to attack Silver and they were idle in the sky. They were an easy target practice for Acma.

Acma only picked 5 of them because he wanted to conserved his mana. After all the target was set, he released the spell.

“Black Hole”

As he said the keyword, 5 fist sized black spheres appeared simultaneously on the target.

“Hahahahahahaha”, Acma laugh out loudly as he was extremely satisfied with the results. Although he couldn’t use the Black Hole spell leisurely like Phantom Step due to mana constrain, at least he doesn’t have to waste the mana to release the overpowered tier 1 Black Hole spell. He can used the lowered down version of it to eliminate the enemies.

Watching the black creature laughing like a madman, plus an agile great wolf that keep killing their brethren, the remaining harpies began to feel fear. Their numbers won’t help them to kill this duo. They have to escape or suffer more loss. They turned around and tried to run away from Acma and his great wolf.
