《Crows Feast》Set up Challenges

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once more i felt the light brezze and the warmth of the sun before i could open my eyes. I was still out in the plains exactly were the game had thrown me out. I stretched, drew my sword and turned around facing away from the city.
I had no reason whatsoever to go back to the city right now.
Besides I wanted to try out the things I learned for sword fighting. And oh boy I had learned a lot. I was confident that I could take on one even without the skill.
´Actually I could make that my goal for today. But not something so simple. How about 2 at once without any skill use.´
I grinned and gripped my sword tightly.
And so my day went on. I kept slaughtering single targets which appeared more frequently the further I got away from the city and avoided groups of bigger number. Until I was confident that I could take on 2 at once. I had studied there Movement sharply all this time but had yet to find a muster in there moves. Those Enemies weren't normal Computer Programs they seemed like sentient beings to me.
´Wait. Does this make me a murderer.´
I stopped dead in my movements. If they really thought and had a live besides getting killed by players that made them living creatures. There was also the point about them bleeding.
´Ah I think I am taking this to far. The Simplest Explanation would be that they are simply Intelligent Programs. Learning AI´s that is. Just like the NPCs.´
I Shrugged my shoulders and kept on killing more of them. Until I stumbled upon a perfect subject group. Down the next hill were 2 of them. Both of them had the big sabre´s marking them as close combat fighters. I had yet to fight a crossbower of them but that could wait.
Right now I wanted to test this.
I whistled loudly drawing there attention towards me. I grinned at there confused faces as I strolled down the hill. I had gathered far to much fighting Experience to be scared of there Aura by now. To me they seemed as dangerous as a Kid with a sword. A really strong, unpredictable Kid but still just a Kid.
They looked at each other and grunted something before one of them drew his weapon and attacked. Like most of them did he also started with a overhead attack.
I had leveled up 2 more times but had yet to put any points into agility or Strength making me basically still very weak and slow in comparison to them. But I still dodged his downward arc easily.
[10], [100] . [10] , [85] . Four Colored Numbers appeared over his head before he could even do so much as draw his sword back. He had by now already lost a good portion of his HP and not only i but also he knew it.
He screamed angrily and swung his sword in a wide horizontal arc. I meet his strike with one of my own stabilizing my sword with my second hand. The Block was perfect yet I was pushed back quite the distance.
The other one had finally decided to join the fight and attacked me from the side with a hard thrust. I sidestepped but couldn't counter since he changed his thrust to a sideways slash. I blocked yet again nullifying the Danger of the attack but my hands were pushed to the side giving the other one quite the target.
I managed to step forward before he swung down on me but now I was captured right between them. Luckily both of there swords were on my right side so I could quickly step out of the encirclement Giving a quick strike to the Head of the first Logar. [10] , [130] . The first one was down on 140 HP which I could take with one blow if the random Magic Damage would allow me to.

I had found out that The F Level Scaling in Magic could always hit somewhere between 10-20. Meaning with my 7 Points in Intelligence I could hit somewhere between 70-140.
They both slashed towards me in the same moment making it quite hard to block but easy to avoid. I stepped back and waited for there attack to pass.
The second there slashes had past me I went in and slashed at the Face of the First Logar. [60] , [100] . I was lucky and thanks to me hitting a unarmored area I could take him down at once.
You have Killed a Logar.
+300 EXP
The other one completely snapped as he saw his companion go down. In response to his mad scream I just grinned baiting a angry attack.
After that he just came at me with wide swings which I dodged easily until he fell before me as well.
´Success.´
I looted there corpses and stretched. I looked around. I was a bit disappointed. I never had imagined that I would fulfill my goal so quickly.
´The only thing I could do now was to wait till night and do the same to 2 at once while they were powered up.´
I looked at my Status window only to see that I only needed 2 more to get to the next Level.

´Not that a new Level would change anything on the way I currently fight. It would o....´
I saw a small shadow besides mine and calculated that it would be on top of the Next Hill judging from the size and stand of the sun. I had yet to meet any other player outside of the Town wall so it was safe to assume it was a enemy. According to my Experience so far however if it was a Logar he had long either gave a battlecry or some other sort of scream from him to diffuse any chance for a stealth attack.
´But Perhaps this isn't a Stealth Attack but rather...´
I threw myself to the side and a second later heard the whistle of something cutting trough the air. As I turned around my suspicions were confirmed. It was a Long range Fighter armed with a Crossbow.
´And that just as my current goal ran out. I guess I am really lucky.´
I started to grin and immediately started to close the distance between us. But before I even made half the way he had reloaded and aimed the crossbow back at me. I froze.
Dodging a crossbow in close range took at least as much as a miracle as dodging a bullet. But in this game I already had my hands on a miracle.
In the second his finger twitched and the crossbow flung the bolt forward I turned my head and feet reciting {Step Back} in my mind. The World became blurry for a second and as it cleared I saw a black blur swiftly moving trough my field of vision. It was the bolt that flew by me.
But I had no time to look at the impact it had because I had something else to do. I turned again and started to sprint the last few yards towards the Crossbower. He was frantically reloading but I doubted he could make it.
But I was wrong because just in the second I had come into his reach he set up the reloaded crossbow for another shot.
Dodging a crossbow in close range was difficult but dodging a crossbow at point blank range was impossible even with the skill. That was if you panicked and tried to dodge.

But luckily I had my sword up high. A slight movement and it intercepted with the bolt that was released with insane power. So much power so that my sword was almost flung from my hand although I had gripped it even tighter out of surprise.
The Logar jumped back and threw the crossbow towards me. I dodged it with a sidestep and brought my sword back before me. I was highly interested to see those Crossbowers fight. That was because they were a little bit smaller then the others and didn't had a big sword with them.
Instead they wielded two smaller sabre´s which my enemy currently drew.
I thought he would be a rather careful and observant fighter from his stance but deep down he was just another rage filled Monster. He attacked with a loud battle cry.
He was faster then the normal Logars since he had smaller swords but in exchange his blows were also weaker. Not so weak that I could simply block them but definitely weaker.
He tried to slash across my chest in a X form with both of his swords which i avoided by stepping back. I tried to get a attack in but he blocked my slash to the head with his left handed sword while readying the other one to attack me. I turned sideways avoiding his thrust attack while pulling my sword down. [10] , [70] . I managed to pull the sword over the back of his hand and did a fair amount of Damage thanks to my Magic Scaling.
I stepped closer to him blocking his left hand of with my shoulder while trying to hold his right hand in place with my left hand. [10] , [80] . I drew the sword over his stomach while remembering a move I saw on that side with the sword techniques. I gripped his right hand with both of my hands and before he could attack me I whipped his feet away from under him and managed to throw him over my shoulder.
[15]. This time however the color of the attack was not white nor Violet it was yellow. Which probably came from the impact Damage.
I had taken back my fighting stance and waited for him to stand back up. He had lost almost 200 HP by now meaning he had almost lost half his health if he had as much HP as the others.
He stood up and I could fell the pressure increasing. In return i just gripped my sword tighter. He came at me even faster then before releasing a insane combo of attacks.
First a slash from the left which translated into a thrust attack which I sidestepped. I ducked down avoiding a slash combo from both of his swords towards my head retorting with a slash of my own at his Legs. [10] , [105].
I hastily retreated backwards barely escaping a double downwards slash. I leaned back and barely avoided a Cross Slash that came directly after the double downward attack.
He translated into a quick downwards attack with his left hand and I couldn't help myself but block his strike by resting the wide side of the sword on my shoulder. The Impact was no joke and I could fell my hands getting numb.
But he wasn't done yet. While his left sword had attacked from above and managed to trap me his right sword came right for my open side. I knew I couldn't bring my sword down In time so I once again recited {Step Back} in my mind.
I had used it two times in this fight by now and was pretty disappointed by myself. On the other hand my enemy was a real challenge this time. But still I could do better.
I was so in thought that I missed my chance at attacking completely, He had recovered and went for me again.
But now he wasn't the only one that was pissed. I intercepted his rush towards me by dashing for him starting of the Second Round right ahead with a angry full power slash at his chest. He couldn't block or dodge in time so he took it head on causing him to stumble back. [10] , [110].
I went for another slash at his throat but was a little to slow and he managed to block me. He captured my sword with one of his own and the other one was aiming right at my stomach.
{Step Back}. I didn't care anymore on how often I used the skill in this fight. I just swore to myself that next time I found a single crossboer I would wreck him without using it once.
The second I stopped moving I let my sword go capturing it again as soon as it had turned around. I held it backwards now and turned around myself as well. As soon as I was facing away from the Enemy I gripped the sword tightly held it backwards and once more used {Step Back}.
The Skill was so fast that the Logar had no time to move before I had used it again. [60] , [120].
Through coincidence I had managed to exactly stab trough his open mouth and now he was hanging on my sword. Lifeless.
You have Killed a Logar.
+500 EXP
I shook him of, sheathed my sword and looked at the pop up window. I was still upset about myself but this was quickly blown away as I realized that this Logar had Dropped 500 EXP although it was still daytime. Meaning Crossbowers naturally dropped more EXP.
You have leveled up
+2 Status Points
Of course the Level up window appeared as well marking my 5th Level. I quickly put 2 points into Intelligence because currently I was satisfied with Mana Regeneration so I concentrated on getting even more Damage.
I looted the corpses and as I tried to put the money into one of my purses I noticed that it was filled to the brink. That was no real problem since I had more then one purse right from the beginning but now I remembered that this was around my 40th kill.
Considering that everyone dropped 40 coopers. 100 Coopers amounted to 1 silver and 100 Silver amounted to 1 Gold. I had around 16 silver by now. A Novice Skill Book cost around 4 Silver or differently said I could buy up to 4 Different Skills if I wanted to.
And actually I kind of wanted to. I looked back to the city in the distance and shrugged my shoulders as I decided to head back. I was so far away from the city by now that simply walking back would take forever. But since I had no other choice I braced myself and jogged towards the city.
´Can´t be that bad to visit the city once in a while. Maybe I can even get some quests.´
I had tried to avoid the city because you could actually see the Names of the Avatars Displayed over there heads. This could cause a lot of trouble for me if People had a eye on the Ranking.
I could get tangled up with People that tried to secure or steal places which I was sure already existed. And who knew how the game handled Player Killings.
-----
It was late evening as I was finally nearby the city. I had avoided any fights on the way and it still took me around 2 hours to get back here. I brushed of my clothes breathed trough a few times and a casual as possible continued my walk. If I just look normal no one will notice.
But before I could even get close the city gates I heard swords clashing nearby. It was rather weird since firstly it was short before the sun went down and secondly because I heard no shouting of commands or panicked screams.
This could be for a variation of reasons but I was a little bit tired so I decided I gave my Brain a quick and simple answer by checking it out myself.
I came to stop on top of a hill and looked down at the answer to my question. The Answer was simply because it was no group of people therefore no shouted commands. It was a single Person fighting against a single Logar.
But It didn't look to good for the Girl. She was pushed to the floor by a heavy strike the moment I had spotted them.
The first thing that ticked me of was that that Girl however she was had a Silver V formed shield on her hands. The Rest of her clothing was also different. She had a silver chest armor, wore a knee long black skirt, armored boots and had some kind of head ornament.
All in all she looked like a silver knight of some kind. But the name above her head indicated that she was indeed a Adventurer which was further proven by the sword which was still the same as mine.
Against her I looked kind of shabby but I felt better seeing her struggle to get her shield up again. It was brushed aside by the next swing of the Logar and she landed flat on her back hands stretched out to both sides.
The Logar took a large overhead swing with the intention to crush her in one go like they did so often. Stopping it would be rather difficult but somehow I was sure my mind would come up with something.
And it did. [30] , [110]. See sometimes my mind worked better under a little bit of pressure. Like right now. If it would have been unimportant to block the attack I would have maybe slowed it but surely not stopped it.
What I did was meeting his overhead arc with my own strike that combined with his strength was just enough to get trough his armor and cut deep into his flesh. The Pain combined with the sudden counterforce caused him to stop pull back his arms in shock and scream in agony therefore nullifying the attack.
The Girl was as surprised as he was and I knew that she wouldn't be any help in the current fight. Expect if I drew the fight into the length. I grinned and sheathed my sword before taking a defensive stance.
´Yeah. I wanted to try this all along anyway and I may as well show off while doing it.´
Girl: "Hey! What the Hell are you doing?!?"
The Girl was already coming up again using her sword and shield as stabilizer.
She felt the pressure just like I did at my first time causing her to visible shake although right now the Logar was focused on me.
I admired her for being out on her own although she was so scared.
Taru: "Don't Worry. I got this."
I didn't say that to show off at all. By now I was so used to there attacks and reactions that I could take on one of the Close Range Fighters blindfolded.
´But please don't ask me to do it. Its not like I am scared or anything I.... I just get sick when I don't see anything. Yeah that's it.´
´Am I Tsundere now?´
I sidestepped the overhead swing of the Logar and slapped him across the face. [10]. Apparently 10 Damage were my Base Attack Damage so no matter what I did it couldn't drop below that. Meaning I had to just hit him 35 more times if she had done no damage at all.
´Man sometimes I feel like I underestimate other People a lot.´
I sidestepped a angry thrust and stepped behind him and rammed my elbow into his side. [10]. He spun around angrily playing right into my hands. I turned as well ducking to avoid his horizontal attack while whipping his legs away with my hands. The Combined forces managed to topple him over and he landed flat on his ass. [15]. According to how they reacted before, a desperate wide swing would follow so that he could make himself some room.
I awaited it grinned and with a quick hop avoided it completely. I landed elegantly and finally had some time to spare since he would need a little while to catch himself.
Taru: "You can join whenever you feel like it. I´ll tank him so don't be scared."
The Girl blushed furiously while standing up wobbly. She looked rather angry as she raised her face.
Girl: "I am not scared!"
´Now that's Tsundere.´
The Logar came back with another wide horizontal swing witch I dodged by using first his chest and then his face as jumping help. [10]. [10]. Even when I kicked his face my Damage wouldn't go higher which was kind of annoying. I turned halfway mid air and landed expertly behind him.
I decided to wait instead of attacking him because firstly this was kind of funny and secondly that I didn't want to break anything while hitting his armor.
He eventually turned around and this time aimed for my legs. But he again was to slow and I had already retreated far out of his range. From the looks of it he was now really pissed.
He rushed towards me after he had stood up and came at me with a real barrage of slashes. Since he was a intelligent being he had by now learned that horizontal swings wouldn't get him far with me so instead now he used diagonal slashes and even some thrusts.
But all of those attacks I had seen before getting used by other Logars. So no matter how fast or how surprising they came I dodged them all. I played around with him drawing him on top of the hill and back down again.
After a powerful downward which I sidestepped I decided it was time to attack again. I released two quick jabs to his face and danced away before he could retort. [20]. Apparently when you attack quick enough the game will count them as one attack which was interesting. But yet again logical. Just imagine a group fighting. There would be so much numbers appearing on top of the enemy that it would be totally distracting
.
We had come a full circle now and once where were we started to fight. As I however glanced towards the place were the Girl was before she was gone.
´Did she ran away?´
I wouldn't blame her at all but I would be disappointed. But my conjectures were quickly blown away as the Girl appeared behind the Logar with a Battle Cry.
She slashed across his back with full force causing him to tumble forward. I simply stepped to the side and in the right moment whipped his feet away from under him. This combined with his already weakened balance caused him again to fall. [15]. Falling seemed to do more Damage to them as when I attacked them unarmed. I couldn't see the Damage the Girl had done on the Logar but I guessed it was not very high since she hit his armor.
I grinned at the Heavily Breathing Girl.
Taru: "So you decided to join in to?"
Girl: "Yeah. They really stop being scary when you see one of them getting his ass whooped like that."
Taru: "Right. Go on finish him off."
The Girl looked at me confused. I raised my eyebrow at her confused face.
Girl: "Don't you want to finish him off."
Taru: "Nah. Go ahead."
Girl: "Ok. Fine."
The Girl jumped forward slashing at his back again. He had just tried to stand up but was once again pushed into the dirt. She didn't stop there and slashed at his back again and again.
He convulsed a few times and tried to stand up again but he couldn't withstand the onslaught and eventually died.
The Girl fell on her ass breathing heavily. I grinned as I imagined myself after my first fight probably looking exactly like she does right now. I was also breathing quite a bit but quickly calmed down looking around. The sun was almost gone now. Just a few more minutes and it would be gone completely making getting quests probably a lot harder.
´I could visit the Mysterious man and ask him if he needs anything.´
My Plan making was interrupted as the Girl stood up. She brushed of the dust turned towards me and blushed yet again. She hastily bowed down.
Girl: "Thanks for saving me."
Now it was my turn to have a confused face. Well I had guessed she would thank me but a bow and everything?
Taru: "No Problem."
She got up and brushed a few Hair out off her face. Now I finally got a good look on her.
She was about 5,4 Feet Tall had Brown long hair and deep blue eyes. She looked really beautiful in all aspects.
But immediately my mind sprung to how she probably looked in real Life.
Not that I knew.
Girl: "Really? You don't want anything In return?"
Taru: "Not Really. But are you ok?"
Girl: "Yeah I am fine don't worry. But Holy... Ähhh Sorry. I mean you were awesome in that fight. Who are you?"
Taru: "My names Chiame and I am just another Adventurer. Who are you by the way?"
Girl: "Oh Yeah. Sorry I forgot my manners. My Name is Sakura."
Taru: "Ok. It was nice to meet you."
I turned around and wanted to head towards the city but was quickly stopped by the voice of the Girl.
Sakura: "Wait! I.... I... Would you.... Do you want to..... Please Teach me how to fight?"
I turned around and looked at the blushing beauty.
Taru: "But its night soon. Do you know they become even stronger at night."
This time she was the one looking confused again. She shook her head and with a new resolve.
Sakura: "But..... For someone like you its still possible right? Please Help me."
She was close to tears which I really didn't understand. Why was she so set on fighting at night.
Taru: "But wouldn't it be easier to just wait till its day again and then find yourself a group which will help you In whatever you want to do?"
She looked crestfallen at my answer and a single tear came down her cheek. I sighed. Something was up with that girl.
Taru: "Ok. If I help you will you tell me why you are so set on fighting right now."
Sakura: "You will help me! Oh. That's great. I... I... Thank you so much."
Taru: "Its Ok. But First tell me why?"
She looked conflicted for a second but quickly opened up and told me her reason.
Sakura: "See I started playing the game today but a lot of my friends started yesterday. So they have quite a head start already. But they promised me that if I make it to Level 2 before the night is over I can still join there Guild and Level with them."
That didn't really sound like friends at all. I may hadn't much but I was confident in my knowledge of friends. Real Friends would wait for you and help you even if you were 100 Levels beneath them.
Or at least that's what I would do for Kaen.
Well not that he was a normal Friend. He was more like a Best Friend and Brother at the same time.
Taru: "What Level are you and which Level are your so called friends?"
Sakura: "I am still Level 0 while most of my Friends already are Level 2 or above."
As she told me her own Level she looked more then a little ashamed. But if she was Level 0 and only had to get to Level 2 it was no problem.
If we really power Leveled and had luck with finding Monsters she would be easily able to reach Level 2 before Midnight.
´Ok. New Goal Acquired.´
Sakura: "I know my Level isn't much but I will try my best. Which Level are you by the way?"
Taru: "I am Level 5 but Levels aren't important in that game. What you really need to fight those creatures is skill.
So we will start out with you just watching me fight some of them. Afterwards we will fight together and then you will try alone."
While I explained my plan I had the feeling I was talking to a wall. She just stared at me with sparkles in her eyes.
´Is someone home?´
I snapped before her eyes and she came back to the real world.
Sakura: "Wow. Level 5? Did you get this far on your own?"
Taru: "Yeah. But as said Levels aren't important what you need is the Ability to predict there next movement or you wont get far. You have the advantage in fighting them since you have a shield and a armor. Where did you get that by the way."
Sakura: "That. It was in my Inventory as I started the game. Its better then the starting equipment so I used it."
Taru: "Inventory?"
´Interesting.´
Sakura: "Not.. Its not a normal inventory. See this?"
She pointed at a purse on her belt that was colored violet. It looked like a normal purse to me but perhaps this was some kind of Magic item that she got with the armor.
Sakura: "This thing is something of a Magic Purse. I can store large quantities of any item in it without it weighting me down. I had that right from the Beginning just like the armor. Its probably because I bought the Platinum Version of the Game."
The Platinum Version of the Game was something akin to a Collectors Edition. It cost about 500 USD more then the normal game and featured a few handy things. Or that's what I had read. Now I at least knew some of the items that came with it.
On the Occasion I can also tell you that the Game together with the Gaming Device on the Day of the Release cost about 5000 USD or half a new car.
As a 21 year old waiter its not something that one could effort on a whim but as said before we cashed in a little more then the normal Worker at our age. But I thought the Platinum version was a bit over the top. Not that I couldn't had afforded it.
Taru: "I see. But anyway lets get right to it. Follow me."
I turned around and again started of into the opposite direction of the city.
´But Someday I shall return.´
I turned around on top of the hill and waved her towards me. She took her sword and shield in hand and ran after a me.
Although the sun had just gone down it took us barely 10 minutes before we found our first Enemy. Or since I fought against him our first victim.
Taru: "Ok. So how you surely have figured out from your fight before, trying to block them with our current strength isn't a good idea. I have yet to put any points into Agility as well meaning I am also slower then them. What gives me the advantage is that I don't let myself get pulled into there rhythm. I predict there movement dodge and then as soon as I see a opening I attack.
You just watch and try to get a feeling for them right now. That's why no matter what happens don't intervene. Ok?"
Sakura: "Ok. But wait!"
I turned around and looked at her questioningly. She blushed a bit before saying.
Sakura: "Ähm. There is this system that lets you share EXP. Could we maybe......"
Taru: "Oh really? That's great this makes things a lot easier. Can you invite me?"
She blushed even more then before and I questioned myself what was so embarrassing about a group system. That was until I got a system notification.
Will you enter a Relationship with Sakura?YesNo
I looked at her even more confused then before.
Sakura: "Ähhh. Please Don't misunderstand. Its... The Game.... Its made so that People that are in Relationship can fight together. Since there is no such thing as a group system and we cant enter a guild until we are Level 10 this is the only way for beginners to share EXP."
I clicked yes without saying a word and turned around.
I shrugged my shoulders before drawing my sword. Now this was something I was even more interested in. My First fight maybe was at night time but I was way to excited to really study there move set then.
´If it changed at night?`
I was about to find just that out.
I whistled loudly drawing the attention of the Logar towards me. I couldn't help myself but grin at the thought of a stronger enemy. Fighting them at daytime had become boring pretty quick.
He started his first attack.
It was a quick thrust which I sidestepped easily. I saw a opening on his side but decided against attacking him since I wanted to study him a bit more.
The next attack was a quick sideways slash I dodged by stepping back quickly. I slashed across his chest looking at the numbers appearing above his head. [10] , [150]. Like I had expected. Three of those kind of hits and he would go down. This was all to easy.
The Logar screamed angrily and retorted with a angry barrage of attacks. The Pressure increased but I completely ignored it calmly dodging his attacks with side or back steps. I slipped past one of his attacks and rained down quick slashes on his side and back. [60] , [420].
He fell to the floor before I could attack again and I realized he was already dead.
You have Killed a Logar.
+250 EXP
That Relationship system apparently split the EXP in half. Which was surprising but I didn't really care about that either way.
My Companion however was shocked.
Sakura: "Wait! What?!? What is this. Wait how much EXP did you get right now."
I realized that she didn't know that they dropped more EXP when defeated at night since she had only got EXP once before. So with a inner grin I decided to mess a bit with her.
Taru: "Just 50 EXP. What about you?"
Sakura: "I... You..... I.... This is......"
She once again pressed on the tear gland and before the whole thing escalated I decided to better clear things up.
Taru: "I am just kidding. It splits it half-half. They drop more EXP at night."
She looked at me surprised. She wiped her tears away but I had the feeling her mood wasn't any lighter then before.
Sakura: "But... This... This is still pretty unfair. I don't want to get the Half when I don't even do anything."
Taru: "Then see it as Payment for your Honor. I am sure other People would want even more % so..."
Sakura: "But.... I don't want to steal all your EXP when you are already teaching me how to fight them."
Taru: "But don't you have a goal to reach. See if you think like that you wont get any EXP because I plan to do most of the Fighting. I mean you are a beginner so its kind of logical that I guide you, at least a little bit."
Sakura: "But.."
Taru: "Oh Come on! I am not that greedy. So don't worry about it."
I snapped before her face and grinned at her.
Taru: "Come on lets find us some Monsters."
I pointed into a random direction and went straight for it. After a few seconds she caught up to me and we resumed our Hunt.
For some reasons we found a lot more Enemies as when I was by myself leading me to guess that it was do to our higher number therefore as counteract of the game more Enemies. Which was great since she could Level up in no time. But that put me into another awkward situation.
We were standing besides a killed Logar who was in the process of dissapering while she looked at the air before her intensely. After some time were nothing happened she sighed and turned to me.
Sakura: "Say. What did you Invest into. I only got like 2 Points so everyone is precious."
Taru: "True. But I don't see how me telling you what I chose will help you."
Sakura: "Well. Its just that you defeat them so quickly and your fights always remind me more of a elegant dance then a fight. But you said you hadn't invested into agility at all. So I was wondering. I mean its ok if you don't want to tell me."
Although she said so her puppy like eyes spoke another story. I rubbed my temples and sighed.
´I should learn to say no to Girls demands. This will only get me into trouble.´
Taru: "Ok I tell you."
Sakura: "Really. Oh thank you thank you thank you. I promise to pay you back somehow."
Taru: "Stuff it I don't want anything. So I told you that strength doesn't get you anywhere and agility is not Leveled up at all so this rules out like 1/3 of all the Stats you could invest Points into.
The one rule I will always hold in fights is trying to avoid hits if possible.
So what do you guess on hand of this information what I leveled up?"
You could see her gears turning for a while before snapping her finger.
Sakura: "Intelligence. It also explains why you do so much Damage against them since Magic Damage goes right trough there armor."
Taru: "On spot. But I still say its a stupid idea for you to tumble after my example. You have a shield which is your greatest advantage over me. You should Learn to use it."
Sakura: "So... You mean I should Up my strength so that I can actually block there attacks."
Taru: "Yeah mostly. I would rather chose to Level up Strength and agility since it shouldn't be your goal to be able to block there attacks but instead avoid them. Yet sometimes there will be the situation were you can´t dodge anymore. And in such moments your shield is your best friend."
Sakura: "Ok. Then for the beginning I put 2 Points into Agility so I can avoid there attacks easier."
Taru: "Your getting it on."
She blushed at my praise and quickly put her points into Agility. She looked around confused and let her shoulders circle.
Taru: "Feel any different."
See now this was something I was also interested in. If you Upped your strength in that game would you actually become stronger and the same with agility will you really become faster.
Sakura: "I don't know. I feel lighter. But I kind of expected something more awesome."
Taru: "Lets race offer there. The winner gets to keep the Lot of the whole night."
I pointed to the top of the next hill and got into a sprint position. I wanted to see if the 2 Points made any Difference at all. Of course this would be pointless if she didn't have much stamina or was untrained but somehow I had the feeling she was no lazy Person in the Real World. So this should work just fine.
Sakura: "Wait what?!?"
Taru: "Ready. Set. GO!"
I started away and immediately her argument was cut off as she did the same. I head a bit of a head start but halfway she suddenly caught up to me. For a second we were on equal grounds before she slightly surpassed me. The Difference as we had finally gotten to the top of the hill was maybe 1 or 2 Feet but it was a difference non the less.
I breathed in before brushing of my clothes.
Taru: "Fine. I keep my promises. The winner gets the spoils. The Lot for tonight is all yours."
Sakura: "But.... Wait.. This was to sudden. I was totally unprepared and just went with it without thinking. I don't want that you give me everything. We spilt it half-half just like the EXP."
Taru: "Ok. Whatever you say. Then lets continue."

HIIII!!!!
I had some free time today and since you all were so nice about the last chapter and my FanFic in general I decided to punch out another chapter today.
I know myself that it seems he is growing OP pretty quickly but please consider that those enemies are the first ones in the game there will be much difficulter ones later. And another factor is that he just has that natural talent for fighting.
Ok. Well thank you. `Bows`
Bye!!

8 261Exuperius [DISCONTINUED]
Terravest. The northernmost continent of the world known by many names of legend, but is most commonly reffered to as Athora, has, for eons, served as the land of exiles. Human criminals, dark elves, grayskinned orcs and dwarves that preffer mining with machinery over the traditional pickaxe alike, have come to call this half-frozen hellhole their home. It is a land of great strife, calamity and crisis, where one legendary tale ends only to begin the next, heroes fall down and villains find themselves thrown into lava. Around seventy years ago, a legendary figure appeared out of seemingly nowhere and conquered three human nations, forming a kingdom worthy enough of being called a small empire. However, at the eve of his heirs ascension, the legend breathed his last, leaving this same bloated, chaotic realm without the pillar that kept it together. Already, the carrion nobility, still spiteful for being denied their "rightful" place below the sun, rise up and gather at the court, each eager to consolidate their own power in these troubled times. Tempers flare, power is exercised without restraint and no one expects the hedonistic prince to succeed at keeping the realm together. Alas, as is often the case with such tales, not everything seems to be as it might at first appear and the vain lords of the realm may yet come to regret their carrion will. --- The Content Warnings are there for a good reason. ---
8 188The Draw Of The Unknown
Mia Campbell is your average introverted loner. Not exactly satisfied with her life doing pretty much nothing of import, she's also not that willing to break out and make a change. Until, without any preamble or warning, she is bestowed with a cryptic system that both grants her magical powers, and also operates on the logic of a card game. Things begin to escalate from there. **This project is a bit of an experiment! For any given chapter, Mia's 'decklist' will be built by the community, over on our Discord server. If you find this amusing, and want to participate in the discussion, as well as find the complete list of cards, you will be able to find the link to the Discord server at the end of each chapter. Discussion in the comments is also encouraged and included as well. Each chapter and/or scenario will be intentional, but the cards used will be chosen by you guys. And the draws made will be done via actual drawing of cards during the writing process, for bonus author street cred.**
