Dorian ran catching up to the rest, who were not able to keep up the same speed as as him. Even carrying Firial Dorian was faster than the malnourished and battered troops. Once he caught he up to them the twins glanced over.
“Where the old man be?” Snax asked raising an eyebrow.
“He is buying us some time, He wont be joining us again.” Dorian said with a grim face.
“Should've left im some ale, he be a good man. Good taste in ale.” Axe said sadly.
“Yea, we will miss him..” Dorian said, looking over his shoulder.
Thol walked up to the still screaming Shun, the priest running towards him was cut of by Thol. He 'looked' over at the screaming boy, in a flash of movement his hand thrust into the ribcage. He wrapped his fingers around the heart and ripped it out of his chest. He then looked at the other warriors, facing him. He crushed the heart, smiling at the warriors with a never before seen bloodthirst.
“A man like that doesn't deserve to live longer, especially not after the way he treated that young lady. I had my doubts the other lad would be able to kill his brother, especially not when his memories return. But this is not a bards tale, you see an evil man. You kill him, so... Which of you wants a trip downstairs first!” Thol said clasping his now bloody hands behind his back.
The warriors facing him involuntarily backed of, only the seasoned Augustin and the commander stayed in their places. Thol kept standing there waiting for the warriors to attack him, after all his goal was to stall. He simply stood there oozing danger, waiting for the enemy to work up the courage to face him. The troops still hesitated, they were waiting for orders. However their commanders had not moved from their spots.

After what seemed an eternity Augustin stepped forward unsheathing his blade. He motioned with his hand for the other soldiers to follow him. They carefully stepped forward, what Thol noticed was that only those who had been with The Table longer stepped forward with Augustin. The rest seemed hesitant to fight him, he was after all a comrade they had fought with before.
Augustin and his men eventually found the courage and rushed forward, unsheathing their blades and charging the old man. The old man smiled viscously sending shivers down the spines of the charging soldiers. The soldiers having been through many battles however did not falter, they charged the old man with death written all over their faces.
Thol smoothly flowed underneath Augistin's strike, flowing behind him he delivered a palm strike on the next soldier incoming. The blow sent the heavily armored man flying through the hallway, a hand-imprint dented into his metal armor. Thol continued moving, flowing between the strikes of the soldiers like water. Delivering strikes that knocked his opponents out on contact. He sent quite a few of them smashing into the ceiling with quite an impact.
Man after man fell to Thol's lightning fast strikes the only one who had so far been desperately able defend against the strikes was Augustin. The commander unsheathed his blade with a grimace, joining the battle. The other soldiers circled around the back, Augustin and the Commander attacked Thol from the front simultaneously. The soldiers tried to attack the old man from behind while he was occupied from the front.
Thol would not make it that easy however, he sent blows their way that were so fast. They created shock waves that hit the wall, so powerful they even cracked the stone. Thol managed to dodge the attacks from the commander and Augustin. He delivered some strikes to the man behind him when he could, killing them outright. However against so many even the old man could not keep up. A blade pierced his shoulder from behind, the old man reacted by turning around and smashing his fist into the soldiers face.

The commander and Augustin had been waiting for the opportunity however and pierced his chest and his abdomen with their swords.
“We win old man, you chose the wrong side!” The commander said viscously with a smirking face.
Thol grabbed the commander by his arms, he looked him in the eye and grinned. “You really think I had been missing my punches?” Laughing the old man pulled him towards him jumping a bit further back. Suddenly the ceiling made a crumbling sound, stone and dust hit the floor. The commander looked up shocked, at the exact moment the Commander looked up the ceiling and everything about it came tumbling down.
With a loud crash Thol, the commander, and all soldiers that had been standing behind Thol were buried in the rubble. The dust washed over the soldiers who had been standing further back, jaws slack with awe. It was not every day you would see the fighting death of a warrior of this magnitude. On the other side a still barely alive Thol looked down at the rest of his body. He had been crushed from the waste down, the blades in his chest sticking out.
Suddenly the are around him brightened, and he saw a familiar face walking up to him. He looked up at the figure and a gentle look swept over his face. He smiled at the figure “Sorry dear...” He said with laboring breaths. “I chose to invest.... in these... children... Instead.. of seeking revenge..” He managed to say.
A smaller figure ran up next to the larger one, holding its hand. Thol smiled up at them, “I think... you would... have been proud..” The lights faded from the old mans eyes. He greeted death as any warrior should. With a smile on his face.

I don't like mistakes.[/window] Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently, I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. I have no problem with translation and reposting of the story, as long as the person in question isn't doing it for money or stealing my identity. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur)
