《Dragon Ball: Terror of the Gods》Chapter 44 (Side Story)

A few days after Lily talked to him, Zaraf was laying around trying to think of something to do. The thought of using all the blood and genetics samples he collected from Planet Myths until now. Well he wanted to see what he could make with them if he combined certain species.
“Lets see what dna I have, some dragons, turtles, snakes, four legged, two legged. Oh, some fish and flying creatures, one that kills with a single look...let's put that one on hold.” Zaraf thought as he sorted through all his few hundred samples.
“I need a catalog, a genetic codex and a few eggs.” Zaraf frowned as he neither had the time nor the patients to sit and study and record all the samples. He couldn’t study or record the beast in the wild as most aren’t in this universe or plane.
“System, don’t fail me now.” He thought as he felt emotionally pained to open the system shop. Typing in what he was looking for, he found the catalog for ten thousand points. Which would store and auto updated as he stored more samples in it personal dimensions. As for the codex he found one that cost ninety thousand.
The codex would link to the catalog and would list what type of species is inside. It would also form a picture as well as some of it habits and habitats with it strengths and weaknesses. So, he bit the bullet and spent the points on the two books.
With a small glow, two thick books appeared on the table in front of him. Both of them looked pretty new and were blank except for the titles. One of them was called Genetic Codex while the other was Genetic storage.
Not really oginal but it got the points across, so he wasn’t complaining. Now, he just needs to transfer all his samples over and begin looking through all the information. Than he can finally begin his project he wants to start. Creating his own hybrid and pet for the family.

One sample at a time, he continued to add to his storage watching his codex glow as a new addition was added. Some of the entry gained more details as variants of the same species were added.
As he finished up the task, he looked out the window to see half the day already passed. Continuing to work on his project, he began going through his codex bookmarking the species chosen.
Zaraf began to list out different aspects he wants to include in his creation. For appearance and base he chose the body of a serpent that can grow nearly eight feet long. Adding Dragon scales for defense. For attacking power he added the ability to shoot highly pressured water. For sight, he went with something similar to bats echolocation.
After working out the abilities and weakness, Zaraf had to begin working on the more tedious task. He had to work out the biology, lifespan, how it will mate and so on. Though he mostly used the base of it as guideline. So, by the end of it, his creation will have a thousand years for a lifespan on average.
“Now, let's get a blank egg from the system to begin. Since trying to change one already growing might have unwelcome or negative effects on it.” Zaraf sighed as he bought a blank egg for a thousand points.
The blank eggs allows him to imprint any genetic code he desire while able to add or remove. However once he begins the process of hatching the creation, he is unable to change it afterwards. So if he messes up or made a mistake he won’t be able to fix it once he began the process to hatch it.
“Let begin.” Zaraf laughed a little creepily so Towa who was in the room next to his shuddered. It was safe to say that the others soon learned about it and wondered what he was doing.

The process took the rest of the day as he continued to work adding, changing, or removing inside his playfield. By the time he finished and reviewed his work, he finished and activated the egg. Leaving the room after putting it in it incubator, he joined the girl in the dining hall for sinner.
“So, Zaraf what did you do today.” Lily asked as he watched the rest listening in.
“It a secret, but your all going to like it when it ready.” Zaraf smiled. “So what did you all do today?”
“I did some reading.” Lily said.
“Worked on some inventions.” Towa replied.
“I reviewed our finances.” Delia shrugged. They really didn’t have much besides what they spend on shopping trips or their dates with Zaraf.
“Gardening and costume making.” Lyana replied.
“You been doing that lately? So what have you made.” Zaraf asked actually curious.
“I found something called a cosplay convention back on our earth. So, I wanted to go check it out if possible.” Lyana shrugged.
“I don’t see why not.” Lily said.
“It would get us out of the house.” Delia replied.
“I suppose.” Towa commented not really into it.
“When is it?” Zaraf asked.
“It was supposed to be about two months after we left to rescue Dub.” Lyana said.
“Err...we will have to see due to time shifts between planes and dimensions.” Zaraf said making them all frown at him. He could only shrug as it out of his hands.
They all just let out a sigh, as they must have forgotten that. Oh, well there will be more to attend in the future.

Lost In Translation
If you're one to travel the roads, you may have heard of me. You may have heard my Names in the stories, the songs, and the whispers of the road. Perhaps you've even seen me during my travels, speaking to a bird of blue light, or on a city street, performing small acts for coin and repute. Or perhaps you may know me as the Skystrider, who walked with the wind. Or the Voiceless, a man of song without speech. You may know me as the Tutor, who taught the Lion of Summer how to fight, or the Traveler, who has walked all the roads of the earth. I am all of these things. And people have branded me a myth. But people don't understand what a myth is. They haven't heard the songs lost to our tongues, nor have they seen the things I've seen. They haven't gone to the places I've gone. My feet have walked the plains, the seas, and the clouds. I have spoken languages unspoken; tongues lost to time. I have sung to the earth, held the moon in my arms, and walked the roads that your heroes hesitate to even mention. I have outwitted Demons. I have danced with the Fae. My songs have been heard by lords of wind and ash, and my steps have echoed in the bellies of gargantuan beasts the likes of which you have never seen. These are what real myths are. And me? I'm no legend. I'm just the bard stupid enough to poke the real ones with a stick. Discord link here. [Disclaimer: Book 1 of this story will likely be published in KU by around the start of 2022, so please keep that in mind. Book 2 and onwards will continue here until they are published as well.]

The blind wastelands were what it was called now. What remained of humanity scattered away from the darkness as much as they could, banding together in settlements lit with gas lamps and bonfires. A young man named Yunkef leaves his home at Settlement 41 to join a Scavenger team to bring back much-needed resources for his Settlement but finds there are much worse things in the darkness than just the beasts.
