《Dragon Ball: Terror of the Gods》Chapter 40

Standing in a wasteland as a full moon hung in the blood red night sky, five figures appeared. In front a teenager looking around eighteen with a brown tail wrapped around his waist. His long mohawk with his red and green eyes blown in the wind. Behind him stood four girls of various ages from looking seventeen to twenty.
One with long black and messy hair stretched. “Ah, we really are back. The Ki suppressing feature is helpful in our current training.”
“It is, but after we finish rescuing him, we won’t be able to stay. Fighting the entire realm won’t end well as there over billions or more across the realm.” next to her with a red skin tight outfit replied as he white hair flowed.
“Maybe we should look into building something with a similar effect.” On the other side of her with silky blonde hair said.
“Where are we supposed to go anyways.” the final female asked straightening out her brown hair.
The group was Zaraf, with his group of girls. Lily sparked the idea, with Towa and Delia making plans, while Lyana wanted to get this over with.
“We will wait an hour or so, Delia and Lyana can adjust. Heading to battle without being adjusted to the atmosphere is inviting trouble.” Zaraf said.
“Ok,” Lyana grumbed.
For the next hour the four did some light trained getting the benefits of four hours back on earth. It seems to make both Towa and Delia move up research much higher on the list. The training speed was invaluable, plus it was an interesting project worth funding.
“Which way?” Zaraf asked Towa as Ki sensing doesn’t work well in demon realm very far.
Lazily pointing her finger to the north, a large city could be seen on the horizon. How most of the missed that was making the rest of the group blush. They could easily spot it over a thousand feet away as it did light up nicely.
“So what the plan.” Delia asked as they walked.
Flying would just burn more energy than it's worth and alert others they were coming. So they just ran in a light jog towards their target. As for the question no one answered as they thought someone else thought of one.
“There is a plan right?” Lyana asked.
“Just run in and grab than go really.” Zaraf shrugged.
Their feet stopped and looked at him as if he grew second head.
“That is a very simple and next to worthless plan I have ever heard. It's sad when it coming from you.” Delia said sighing.
“Fine, we will sneak in gather information on where he is, than grab him and leave. However I doubt it would go well since more than likely both Lily and I would be recognized as well as Towa. She after all is sister to the current king and daughter of the last one.” Zaraf said as they began moving.
“Really, Towa you didn’t tell us you were royalty.” Delia said in surprise.
“Demons kings are those who the strongest and defeated the last one. So it doesn't really matter if your related as most respect power to rule.” Towa clarified.
“Oh, what happens to the relatives when the new one takes over.”
With a shrug Towa thought about it. “From the history books I read since most rule for centuries or more. If it is a male they usually are killed, while Females it depends really. If they take a liking to you your usually a concubine or exile for a few hundred years. That or your killed alongside the others.” she explained.

Nodding as they should have expected that. It was the same no matter the world or universe. Power and strength to rule over others while taking what they want. It is what it comes down to in its basic form of governments or rulers.
How long ago were you last here.” Delia asked.
“Ten years give or take.” Lily said. “So a blink for the older demons living here.”
For the rest of the run, they continued to talk about small things or add onto their mission. Though none of them held much hope of it working it was better than nothing. Upon reaching the outer wall, they saw wanted posters.
“I don’t think they got my nose right.” Zaraf commented as he looked at a poster that held similar features to him. They drew him with full set of hair instead of a mohawk and a light beard. Along with some chisel and lighting up, it nearly look nothing like him.
“They were off on my height and bust. I am no B-cups.” Lily frowned as she lifted up her nearly D-cups.
“Really guys?” Delia asked dryly as she held back her laugh.
“Yes, it is important as they got our size all wrong. I am very proud of these that I regrew them twice.” Lily said puffing out her chest.
“They didn’t even get Zaraf size right. Why did they even guess though?” Lyana pointed out.
“Some, demons like it so they requested it and you will be surprised how many end up caught just to prove it wrong.” Towa said remember watching some walk right in to their cell.
Shaking their heads they made it through the checkpoint easily as the guards didn’t even recognize them next to their posters. They had to be the worst guards as they lazily checked before allowing them to pass. They didn’t even figure they would called anyone in if they did recognize them. The man was half asleep.
“Well, where do we go now.” Lyana asked.
“Well, tavern or bars are an easy way to gather information. Though we would stick out and be hit more often than getting any real information.” Towa said with a sigh.
“Your kidding.” Delia asked.
“I wish, if I was to compare us to any species we would rank as a succubus or higher in looks. All our training and Zaraf way only enhanced our looks.” Towa said.
“Than how do we get the information.” Lily asked raising an eyebrow.
“We could could just walk through the marketplace.” Towa shrugged as they nodded.
“Well we will need to split up as walking in such a big group will draw attention.” Zaraf said as they decided to break at the entrance of the market.
Zaraf and Lily broke into a group while Towa, Delia, and Lyana broke into another. Surprising no one really minded or thought of it was strange as others group of threes and twos were floating around. From there, they heard and asked about some rumors from what happening to the king to the arena.
Most of the rumors were either baseless or a bit far stretched. There was one or two about Dub, but nothing concert besides he alive and has a match soon. Another was the current state of Towa sister to the king.
After a few more hours, they met up and left with a couple bags as not to look suspicious. Storing them into the storage rings, they went to find an empty roof or space to review.

“So, besides some baseless or far stretched rumors, we only learned his next match is soon.” Zaraf said starting them off.
“We got the same beside that he recently took a bit of a beating. Besides being starved and facing ten opponents he came out on top.” Delia said.
“Ok, so we know he alive, but currently starving and injured. So what the plan.” Lyana asked.
“I guess I could cause a bit of chaos while you guys grab him.” Zaraf said with a shrug while they frowned at him.
“Fine,” Lily finally said as they all knew what and how he would do it. They just hope his weird luck will hold out.
The girls split into groups with Lily and Delia being one while Towa and Lyana the other. Both of them each been down to the holding cells before. However they needed to pick a time and how long they have to locate and grab him. They thought of having Zaraf fight an army by himself while they ran not knowing to leave. Well, one he probably would do that but it would be pointless by than.
After deciding to do it after they rest, they found an inn and slept.
===============================================================
A few hours later, Zaraf was only as he walked towards the Arena with his hands in his pocket. With a slight smirk, he had a small bounce in his step, which the girls rolled their eyes. They were watching him from a rooftop awaiting him to start.
Walking up to the ticket booth, he waited in line behind a small family of demon coming to watch. Soon it was his turn where his smirk grew.
“Can I help you sir.” a pretty pink demon asked as she stared at his smirk.
“Ah, yes you see I want to fight and the name Zaraf.” he smiled as she looked at him before beginning to sweat as she pressed the button under the desk.
The sirens went off as she ran away as did most families with children. The guards soon rushed over and quickly surrounded.
“Zaraf, you are under ar-”
One of the guards shouted but was interrupted when Zaraf planted his foot in his gut.
“You were saying.” Zaraf asked as his picked his ear.
“He resisting attack.” the guard commander shouted as they change forward with spears and swords.
“Well, I hope someone stronger will appear soon.” Zaraf said as he vanished only to reappear behind the group.
Soon, over twenty guards were knocked unconscious falling to the ground or up in the air.
“Now I call this a party.” Zaraf said as he felt over two hundred heading his way with more right behind them. The highest to his disappointment had sixty million in battle power.
====================================================================
OVer at the girls, Lily and Towa lead their partner down to the holding cells. They could hear the shouts and Zaraf’s laughs. A smile smile formed on their lips as they knew he was having a blast. They could feel the ground starts to shake as some of the stronger were showing up, as Zaraf happiness spiked.
“Well he having fun it seems.” Delia said.
“Of course, the last time we were here they nearly killed him. Than there is also the problem of not having a decent opponent for a while. I think only training or laying around outside of dates were driving him insane.” Lily smiled.
“Well you are the one said he could go finding the challenges.” Delia pointed out.
“Yeah, but by the time he usually gets to them they either dead or not around. Also it was boring living in a ship.” Lily said not feeling sorry in the least.
“I wonder how the others are doing?” Delia said as they scanned over the cells not seeing the one they want.
===================================================================
Over with Towa and Lyana, they were also scanning the cells holding a very similar conversation.
“I think we need to find a way to have him release his energy in the future.” Lyana said as both her and Towa held the wall as the shaking increased.
“Agreed.” Towa said as they continued their search.
====================================================================
Back in battle, Zaraf was laughing as he sped around the battlefield as the two hundred multiplied into nearly two thousand. It filled his being of seeing this as they continue to appear with weapons or firing off Ki attacks.
Slamming his next two victims into the concert ground, Zaraf kick off hovering of the two spears that stabbed the ones in the ground.
“You missed,” he laughed as he spun kicking the two in the head.
They flew and took out a couple more soldiers as he continued to massacure the army. He so far knocked out or killed due to friendly fire around three hundred in total. None of them really gave him much of a challenge yet to activate a transformations.
Gathering Ki in his hand he threw a few ki blast into the crowd of soldiers. Watching the explosion as he tossed more guards into the air, really got his blood pumping. Finally after nearly twenty minutes of fighting, the first person with a battle power over a million appeared.
With light grey skin and nearly three meters tall, a general appeared in full battle armor. He was fairly large in both muscle and fat. If Zaraf really thought about it or cared to think, the man must have given up training.
“How dare you interrupt my relaxation time.” The grey demon shouted as if it was a grave crime.
Not bothering to care, Zaraf just continue his rampage and a few soldiers at the general. With a small eye roll he watched as the general got buried by the soldier he threw.
A small explosion of ki burst came from the general as he was free with a shout, though it took a lot out of him. How the man became a general began to seep into Zaraf’s mind as he looked at the demon. Covered in sweat and breathing heavily, led him to believe it was the most exercise he had in awhile.
“You will ...pay for…that.” The grey demon shouted as he breathed heavily. “Now I...will show...you my...ultimate form.”
Zaraf kepted getting rid of foot soldiers as he kept an eye on the general who power rapidly rose. It soon shot up to nearly sixty million before it leveled out.
The once fat grey demon that once stood out of breath vanished with what he considers the biggest bodybuilder. With arms and legs thicker than trees and pure rock hard muscles, Zaraf had one thought.
“How does he move?”
That was his thought as the muscles must get in the way of movements. Which was one of the worst possible things in a fight. A fighter needs power, speed, and flexibility. The grey demon only appears to have one and neither of the other.
Even if the demon wasn’t that fast before as far as he could tell. Zaraf noticed a sharp decrease in his movement. With an eye roll he noticed he has been doing a lot during this fight. He sent a powerful kick to the demon head which sounded and felt like metal.
“I might not have speed or flexibility. However I am the best at defense with my body hard as metal.” The demon shouted as he taunted his weakness and strengths.
With a giant sweatdrop, Zaraf sent a stronger kick and sent the giant flying through a group of soldiers charging him. He was preparing to fight more foot soldiers when he felt Towa’s ki spike and decrease signalling him and Lily group. They have found the target and was leaving which left him five minutes to play.
“Well it time to wrap this up.” Zaraf said as he gathered his ki and sent hundreds of ki blast into the soldier per second.
When the time to leave appeared, Zaraf waved at the spectators and vanished in a ball of flames. Outside the city he rejoined the girls and a demon that more skeleton more dead than living.
“Hello Dub.” He greeted as he hugged the girls. Though he was a tiny bit disappointed that the king or stronger generals didn’t show up. He didn’t even get to transform and test the form in battle.
“Hey kid, it been a while.” a ghostly voice came from the skeleton. “I see you married your lovely lady and a few more. So, any grandkids?”
“No, but we will begin working on it after we leave here and get back home.” Towa huffed.
“Did not need to know that.” Dub said with a laugh.
“Now how do we get out of this realm?” Delia asked.
“The easiest would have been the castle, but that has been sealed since these three escaped. The next one is in the middle of the wasteland.” Dub said pointing to the west away from the city.
Nodding, they began walking as a stretcher. Where it came from he didn't know nor was he going to ask why they had one. They can have whatever they want in their storage rings which is filled with survival stuff. Clothes, food, medical supplies and sewing kit, he make sure all their rings are stocked up one.
“So anything happen since you escaped.” Dub asked.
“Not much, did some traveling, grew stronger, went super saiyan and found level past it.” Zaraf said.
“He forgot to mention he married us.” Lily said though it more they say they’re married since they never held a ceremony.
“That's nice, I remember the few times I was married. Those were the times until they found my guards better than me.” Dub grumbled the last part.
“That won’t happen, mainly because Zaraf would destroy the planet or galaxy in a fit of rage. Besides we love him too much to do that.” Delia said.
“Just be careful as every relationship have rough spots,” Dub said sagely which was funny as he was a sage.
“We will.” Lily smiled.

Both challenges to those native to this world, and against other people have come from earth. Author's comment: I'll be uprfont with you on the entire war thing that the description hints at. Yes it will eventually happen, and many of the strange and out of place things in the beginning will tie into that. Not that it will be explained until much later in the novel. In fact the first 100 or 200 chapters will be spent on the main character growing stronger as an adventurer before the entire war even begins to start rearing its ugly head. So for those eager for the war to kick off sorry, but there won't be a big explosive war so early. At least not with the empire (although if you read carefully you may be able to pick up signs of how close the war is with what happens in the story). But the wait (I hope) will be worth it as it will be diving into some of the stuff a otherworlder in a significant position of power could do with the right knowledge. With that little warning over with I hope you enjoy this novel of mine. Its my first actual attempt at writing a story for people to read so please keep that in mind. If you have any criticism please tell me. I'd love to read them and will be using them to help me in improving my writing quality as time goes on. Experience is the best teacher after all.
