《Dragon Ball: Terror of the Gods》Chapter 29

A couple of weeks went by since Zaraf arrived in the capital. Following the girls, they bought a large house near the noble district with large amount of space surrounding it. With a little bit of tweaking and moving plants around, the backyard can’t be seen into unless your inside the house.
With twenty rooms inside and a large pool, which they build in a day, surrounded by a small field of flowers. It was a beautiful sight until knights under the emperor decided to surround the house. A few of the newer knights or older ones began trampling the flowers or knocking down the trees.
At the front door, a commander was standing there arrogantly with guards around him with weapons drawn. Zaraf was looking up to the man as the man held his nose pointed to the sky.
“Zaraf, Lily, Towa, Lyana, and Delia Leon. You have been summoned by the emperor. Any sign of resisting or rejecting will be followed in law of treason.” The man said as the five teenagers heard their backyard being destroyed.
“Can, we at least get dressed?” Zaraf asked unamused as the five were about to play in the pool and go sunbathing. So, he was being stared at by the surrounding knights, in a pair of shorts while the girls in their bikinis.
The man stopped looking towards the sky and glanced at them and nodded. “You have five minutes and don’t attempt to escape.”
Shrugging, the five went back to their room unhurried to change as they didn’t really care about the man. He was basically treating them as a wanted criminal, when they were just being told they were having a meeting with the emperor.
Changing well with in the five minutes they returned in their daily casual wear. Wearing either a light color or gray, they appeared back in front of the commander. He was frowning as they were treating this as a day outing instead of meeting the Emperor.
“Let's move it.” the commander shouted as he took the lead.
In the middle of the soldiers, the five walked as the guards on all sides of them had drawn towards them. Whispers, flooded throughout the citizens as they threw disgusted or distain looks to the five. It must have looked like they were criminals leading them to sigh, as thoughts of moving again entered their mind. Hopefully somewhere else has blacksmith willing to teach Towa the basics.
“Towa, we might need to find another teacher for you to teach you the basics of blacksmithing.” Zaraf commented before one of the younger guards snarled at him.
“You must not speak unless given permission.” The commander roared at the five, who shook their heads.
The guy is one of the biggest idiots they ever met, and weren’t doing the empire any favors with them. They heard of kings and emperors doing a lot to get prodigies and genius to join their kingdom or empires. But now they met one commander and a group of knights doing their best to turn them away.
They walked or more been paraded around the city as if showing them off like five large terrorist or big time criminal was caught. By the time they arrived at the palace, the five knew they weren’t going to be welcomed in the capital any longer. Everyone is going to think they were criminals even after they leave the palace.
Marched into the throne room, they saw a middle aged man sitting on the throne frowning at the commander. Zaraf was sure it was the emperor's years of experience and control on his temper that stop him.

The man had blonde hair and overweight as he appeared in his late forties, but he was probably closer to a hundred and twenty. He was a rank three warrior, so he has a longer lifespan but not by much. If he continued to train to around fifth rank or higher he could have lived to around three hundred to five hundred.
“Commander Wales, I thought about firing you for your lack of thought, but then thought better of it. You shall be stripped of your medals and position and shall become a unit commander of the ten men with you today.” The emperor said making the commander faint.
“Now, greetings Zaraf, Lily, Towa, Lyana, and Delia Leon. I originally invited you here for a chat. However it seems that ex-commander Whales, decided to treat you as criminals. For that I am deeply sorry.” The Emperor explained.
“Well no harm done outside of our backyard, reputation, and trust of your city inhabinaties.” Zaraf said with a shug.
“Ah, it seems some extremist found your address and currently burning down your house.” The Emperor chipped in making them stare like it was a bad joke.
“We literally bought the place about two weeks ago, I hope we can get a refund.” Lily grumbled alongside Delia. The two were in charge of the family and business accounts as Delia and Lyana were preparing to open a shop.
So, even if they didn’t really need to care about the couple hundred thousand gold, it hurt their pride. They spent a few hours decoration and revamping the place to their needs. Even their pool only got a few hours before the soldiers destroyed it.
“I will return you gold from my personal vault as it was my error in choosing the wrong man for the job.” The Emperor said with the two nodding.
“So, what can we do for you, Emperor.” Zaraf asked not really minding his manners as he didn’t see the point. It also cut out and changes the topics as they needed to find a new house before the sunsets.
“Four years ago, you five were the talk across the continent for the speed you trained throughout the ranks. The War God had sent a disciple to invite you to join his mountain if you so wish. However upon arriving, he was told you vanished hours before, so we kept an eye out for your return. Now, I wanted to know what was your goals in the capital?” The emperor spoke but the last line was between a question and a threat.
“Well, I wanted to continue sculpting to pass the time before stepping into the saint rank as a mage. Lily here was going to begin making music again, while Towa was going to learn the basics of a blacksmith. Delia and Lyana were thinking and preparing to open a small shop to pass the time while we stayed here. We all are either rank nine or eights, and thought of staying here as we continue to train.” Zaraf said as he heard the audience gasp when he mentioned their strength.
Raising his eyebrows towards the Emperor who seems to be nodding they began waiting for the next question. It seems that they missed the use of past tense as neither he or his friends know what they want now. The decision to say or go really relies on them as he doesn’t care at this point. This Emperor doesn’t seems to be listening as if he is attempting to solve the problem and keep them in his empire.

“Now what are your current plans?” The Emperor finally asked.
Turning to the girls, he waited for their thought as it up to them to stay or go.
“We will stay, if we don’t have to pay taxes, find a master or hight blacksmith to teach Towa, and don’t ask us to fight in wars for you.” Lily said as the gathering noble men and ladies grumbled at her demands.
“Very well, I will exempt you from them and call to duty if needed for one hundred years.” THe emperor nodded. “As for the blacksmith I will see what I can do. Dismissed”
Being escorted back outside the palace, the five found them outside with the sun on the horizon preparing to set. The worst tour plus the emperor wasted the day away so now they can’t buy a place due to the place closing. It seems that the Emperor is a petty man as he didn’t offer a place to stay either after making those three demands.
“Well, we missed a day of playing in a pool for a terrible tour like criminal, lost our house, and weird meeting with an Emperor. Today sucked.” Lily whined.
“It wasn’t that bad.” Towa said not sounding convincing as she sounds bitter about it.
“Well that could have gone better.” Delia commented as she shook her head. She was tempted to send a letter to cut the trade deal to the O’Brien empire until they change emperors.
“So, what now?” Lyana asked bored.
“Find an Inn, than house hunting again. Than more training I supposes.” Zaraf answered with a shrug.
====================================================================
A few weeks went by since their house was burnt down and catching a few glares from those that remember them. The land shops were reluctant to sell to them as the employees either remember them buying or being paraded around. Finally, they had to go to the owner to purchase another house, and sell the last one.
So, their new house was closer to the outer edge of the capital with a larger house and more space. After a few days, with Lily directing Towa and Lyana on how to decorate, Delia was ordering him around to fix the backyard. From moving trees, digging a hole for the pool he shrugged as it was training his earth magic. It even allowed him to get hinted at about the law of gravity surprisingly.
Finally they finished redecoration and reinforcing the house so it won’t burn down as easy. They received a visit from an old man with his white hair tied back into a ponytail. A pair of reading glasses on his vest, as he wore high quality clothes.
“Hello,” Zaraf greet the man as he invited him to the back yard. He was just finishing up watering the flowers.
“So, what can I do for you and who are you anyways?” Zaraf asked secretly surprised he couldn’t feel the old man rank or power.
“My name is Beirut, and I came to teach you five some tips in training.” He said looking around the garden and nodding.
“Hmm, Beirut that name sound familiar for some reason. Anyways, what do you get out of this as you can’t be doing this for free.” Zaraf asked as he glanced at the system message.
[Lord Beirut, the King of the Forest of Darkness, Lord Prefect of the Bloodridge Continent, Sovereign Emissary, Caretaker of the Necropolis of the Gods. He is Highgod of Darkness and Lesser Sovereign of Wind.]
Blinking a few times at the information, Zaraf barely contained his emotions as they felt all over the place not sure how to react. Why would such a powerhouse want to teach five barely teenagers who haven’t reached saint rank.
“I have taken an interest in you, as you five are one of the faster and young cultivators to near saint rank in most realms. Though there are some that pop up from time to time such as reaching there before ten but never mind that. It would be such a waste not to reach your potential due to not being taught correctly.” Beirut explained.
“Once you reach saint rank you will begin getting in touch with the laws of the universe, such as the law of gravity, vibration, so on. From there, something called a divine sparks will be created, just don’t fuse with them, but rather create clones for that element. This is something many tend to forget, so they usually only master one element.” Beirut finished.
“I will keep that in mind, though it's going to be some years before get there as we still have to reach saint rank before anything,” Zaraf shrugged making a mental note to tell the girls later. “You wouldn’t happen to know a master blacksmith to teach Towa the basics?”
“Hmm, I know of a few and probably teach her a thing or two. If they agree I will send them, but not going to make promises as they are usually busy.” Beirut said.
“Well, that fine,” Zaraf said with a shrug. “The girls should be done shopping so, we can sit down and chat.”
===================================================================
After an hour or so, Beirut left saying he will be back about once a month. He also supplied them with some information and tips to breakthrough into saint rank in the future. Which in their opinion wasn’t that difficult. They would need to gain understanding of profound way which with the help of their training method they are halfway there.
Sitting at the table, Lily was frowning as she was disappointed in something.
“What wrong Lily?” Zaraf asked as the other girls were unpacking or unwinding from their trip and visitor.
“They had thousands of years to move forward with technology. Yet they are stuck in medieval times and their women swimsuits don’t exist.” Lily said as she wanted to rant about the world, yet didn’t know how.
“So, do you want to attempt to move the world forward? We are saiyans, we thrive in battle but it doesn’t have to battle of fists does it?” Zaraf said making her eyes widen and sparkle.
“Yes, that what we will do. We will open a chain of stores and recreate devices to get the world moving. I need to do something about the clothes through, so I might need to take up Tailoring and learn to sew better.” Lily began to mumbled as she began to plan out her way of moving the stagnated world.
“Just remember, Towa is more experience building technology, though we first need to take a look at what available.” Zaraf said as Lily vanished from her seat and ran through the house.
In a few moments, he saw a blur of blonde, white, and black hair disappearing through the door. A few minutes later, Lyana came down and looked towards him.
“Master, what was that about.” Lyana asked in one of the few times she called him master. She usually only does it when they are alone or only Lily nearby.
“Lily, plans moving the world technology forwarded, but firsts needs to learn where exactly they are and what they built.” Zaraf shrugged. “She wanted a fight, so let her fight a battle on improving the world.”
“Aren’t you worried about someone targeting her.” Lyana asked cooly.
“Yes and no, as greedy merchants and organization will target her for the ideas on technology. Are all of them strong enough to stand against us. No, they aren’t and will be destroyed if they attempted to.” Zaraf said stretching.
“Very well.” Lyana said as she disappeared back to her room.
“Well, lets get some training in and hopefully more understanding of the law of gravity.” Zaraf headed for the backyard.

8 178Let's Shine
So, first things first, this here is a magical girl thing. There are girls in it, they have magical abilities, fight supervillains (who have magical abilities, too, but in a more menacing way, like superpowers), and also do girly stuff. But it's not for children. Or at least not entirely. The idea is, it should be cute, but at the same time serious. Cute-serious, yeah… So, this is experimental for me. I'm planning to make short updates for as long as I can keep it up or until the plot resolves itself, whichever comes first. Most of all, I'm planning to not overthink or overedit things as much as I usually do, so there are bound to be mistakes and inconsistencies. I'll try my best to keep them to a minimum, though. But if you notice something, please feel free to tell me!
