《Dragon Ball: Terror of the Gods》Chapter 19

A few days passed since Beerus attacked, however Zaraf is yet to leave his healing capsule. His injuries and exhaustion of achieving Super Saiyan with sage mode boosting his power way beyond. This took a heavy toll on his body, which is now repairing itself while increasing his power.
Sitting outside his chamber, Lily sat there waiting for him to heal and awaken. Dark circles could be seen under her eyes due to lack of sleep. However, she does spend a few hours helping rebuild the nest, only to return shortly after.
Both Chronona and Towa are worried about her, but they have neither the skills or power to force her to rest. Anything they attempted she just shrugs off and if they attempted to drug her, it barely effects her.
In the small room, a small beeping sound began waking Lily as she began nodding off. Zaraf who was in the chamber began to stir as they Machine began draining out of the liquid. Stepping out of the machine in all of his glory, which Lily tackled him and instantly passed out.
“Did she pass out seeing my rocking muscle?” He joked as he carried her to the bed before looking for clothes. Thoughts of learning to materizel clothes entered his mind as he tired but the amount of time he lost clothes was small.
“What shall we do now? Training only does so much, and we need experiences, only my luck interferes.” Zaraf began mumbling as he thought about it. “Maybe it time to go travel to another world.”
“System, is it possible to bring anyone along with me when I travel to another world?” he asked.
[It is possible only if they agree to go with you willingly.]
Hearing the mechanical voice a smile formed on his lips, but world should they go to. They can’t go to a weak world where no one can give them a challenge. That would defeat the purpose of even going, but they can’t pick a too strong of one either. The other thing is that he doesn’t know that many worlds to travel to due to his short freedom in his last life.
“Do you have any recommendations?” He asked.
[There are currently four worlds that fit your situation. The first being Cultivation Chat Group. This one has martial artist attempting to reach immortality with nine realms. They do this by refining their bodies and purifying them over years of training.]
[The second one is Panlong or Coiling Dragon. Similar to the last one, they have nine ranks before coming what they call saints. After saints come a few more tiers and offer slim a chance to create your own universe.]
[For the third one is Tales of Gods and Demons. Like the last two the world split the strength into ranks, however it split into Demon Spiritist and Fighters. Demon Spiritist absorb a demonic beast soul to help speed up their cultivation or strength.]
[Finally we have God and Devil System. The world watcher or ‘god’ grew bored at how slow the humans were evolving. So the apocalypse began with a system being connected to everyone turning them into evolvers.]
Looking over the list, he seen the list all had something in common which they involved strengthening his body. However, he wondered what would happen when he leaves this universe. Would only his soul leave or would he take his body and his body would strengthen when he returns. Will the world freeze or continue on at different ratio.
How will this work exactly? He asked since he doesn’t want to return and turn into an old man in a single night.

[Your Body and Soul will be transported to the chosen world. However, your strength will be changed around to match the current worlds. Warning the conversion rate isn’t a hundred percent accurate since it attempted to change to give you maximum benefits.]
[As for what will happen is it would continue to a different ratio. A hundred years in another world could mean a week here. However upon returning, your bodies will converent back to your current age and add your new strength. Be warned though if you die, you will die here as well.]
The way the entire world freeze seems kind of cheap and convenient but works for him. Now the question came down on how to convince Lily to come along. He thought of inviting Towa, but she said she wanted to train at her own pace. So, he could just invite her next time they go, and when he returns he will go fight Frieza.
If I become a Universe Creator will I still be one upon returning? He asked since he worried he would lose any chance of battle upon returning.
[Yes and No. You will still have your universe however it will be like a Personal Dimension. If you were a universe creator and still attempted to fight here, the world would collapse in an instant. So, the system will seal your powers outside your dimension unless you leave for another cultivation universe.]
Deciding they world he wants to go to, he began thinking of a way to tell Lily. It about time he told her since they have been together for the last twelve years. Of course he won’t tell her all his secrets only about the system and his genetic ability. Now that he thinks about it he hasn’t really been using it to it best ability.
The amount of work and calculation he needs to do before adding, changing, or removing genetic code is a lot. He could probably give some humans similar traits to a saiyan such as zenkai boost. Of course it wouldn’t be that great since they would only receive about half the original boost.
Sighing as he figured as it be a few hours before she woke up, he decided to go visit Towa. Walking out of the healing clinic, he looked around and seen most of the areas have already been cleaned up. He could sense that Towa was cleaning up the chunks or ruins while Chronona spawned new building over top.
“Why were attacked?” Zaraf asked Towa as he appeared behind her.
“I will start from the beginning since it there not much to tell.”
=== Flashback
After exiting the time vault, the found the Lord Beerus angrily looking at them. Unknown what they done, Chronona asked why he suddenly appeared.
“Chronona, your job is to manage time and keep idiots messing with the timeline. So tell me, why I had to deal with an idiot who arrived on my planet calling himself immortal. He wasn’t even that strong.” Beerus said.
“Well, we were tracking him, but he suddenly got himself into a time loop where we couldn’t answer. When we finally found him after the timeline spit him out, he died.” Chronona said sounding terrified.
“Why shouldn’t I kill you now for that mistake. He interrupted my nap.” Beerus said as his purple aura awoken bearing down on them.
It felt like nothing we ever felt before and they couldn’t even feel his Ki. Jumping in front of Chronoa, Lily and I attempted to hold back his attack. Only he didn’t fire any Ki or anything of the sort. Instead he appeared in front and backhanded us.

Skipping across the ground, fear filled my body as we were at a loss at what to do.
“I will erase the demon first.” Beerus said as he pointed his claw towards me.
“No,” Lily screamed as she struggled to stand up.
As if the fear pushed her, she transformed as her hair stood straight up. However it appeared as if it shorten itself and turned blonde. As for her Ki a golden glow appeared around her body and multiplied by fifty.
She rushed to in hopes of saving me, but took the blast to her arm. Only, she pushing herself and continued to attack Lord Beerus. The traded blows, well more like Lily trying to punch him with him barely using his nail.
=== End Flashback
“That most of what happened before you appeared. Since then, Lily been by your side as Chronona and I have been fixing things. I have decided to take training seriously, since I don’t want to feel helpless once again.” Towa said with fire in her eyes.
Maybe I should take her with us to train. I’m sure mastering some laws or getting a taste of Divine Ki or energy will help her in the future. Zaraf thought as wonder how to go about telling them or how much to tell. Maybe, he will just say it a Training System since it covers stats, skills, and training options.
Deciding that what he wants to do, he mentally nods as he finally decided on a game plan. Telling her that he has something to tell her and Lily when she up he left to talk to Chronona. He has to tell her about their training trip and the option of stop being time patrol for a while. Sure being one allows them to easily find battles, but with his Ki sense he can seek them out easily.
This would also, cover up their massive increase in strength, maturity possibly, whatever other benefits. After his meeting with her, even if she was sad to let them go she understood and couldn't force them to stay. So, she agreed and he told her that they would be leaving when Lily woke up.
Sitting by Lily side, a couple hours rolled by but the longer he waited the more nervous he grew. Thoughts of just going before she woke up crossed his mind, but how would he explain anything. It not like he can say they fell into a time rift as that would lead to more questions.
He patiently waited as her eyelids gently stirred as she opened her beautiful icy blue eyes.
“Morning Sunshine,” He greeted.
“Hey Zaraf, you finally healed.” Lily said jumping into his arms again.
“Yep, and we are going on another training trip, but this one special.” Zaraf said sparking her curiosity.
“How so?” She asked.
“We are going to another universe and I don’t mean one of the other twelve realms.” He said confusing her.
“How?”
“There is something that I never told you and you probably picked up on it over the years. I have a system attached to my soul that help me train. How do you think I had an idea how to train when we were one?” Zaraf said scared of her reaction as she stared at him in disbelief.
Things began to click into place as he always knew how to train or idea on how to train something. “Was your theories part of what your system told you.” She asked fearing the answer for some reason.
“No, my theories are my own, however the system would help fill in or correct some of my thoughts when I discover enough. It how I knew about super saiyans being a possible thing due to guessing how it works. We have enough S-Cells so we can transform now which you managed to do.” Zaraf said.
“Is that why we are going to another universe to train?” Lily asked confused.
Shaking his head no, he thought how it would be best to describe it. “We are currently in a very awkward spot since Lord Beerus and Zeno have their eyes on us. So, we need to strengthen ourselves, but I don’t know if they would allow us to grow. If you are worried, there will be a time difference for a example a hundred years there could be a week here.” He explained as he calmed her down.
“I’m just worried that you will go on your own and never return or return with a harem filled with beautiful women I can’t match. Then you will just throw me away.” She began crying as he pulled her into his chest.
“I would never do that, besides your the only one I got my eyes on. We been together since day one and I’m afraid you would leave me.” He whispered softly into her ears.
She only silently weep his chest do to thinking of the future, as the once image of three women just began to rapidly explained. Thoughts, of the future and wanting to make that scene a reality, she began plotting on forming him his person harem. If he tried to refuse, she going to beat him up until he accepted, but they need to fit a list of criteria.
A small shiver went down his spine as she didn’t react in any form he thought she would. When she patted him on his back, it wasn’t because he said something good or bad. No, it was because she was planning something and it bigger than last time.
“What are you planning?” He asked slightly worried for his future.
“Don’t worry about it, you will find out in the future.” She said with an innocent smile which only raise his alert level.
“Let meet up with Towa and we can get going.” He said as he stood up heading towards the door.
An hour later, Chronona dropped them off on a nearby planet which Towa tossed down the capsule holding their ship. Saying goodbye, they watched as Chronona left before heading inside the ship.
“So, where are we heading?” Towa asked.
“Hmm, if I remember correctly in some of the timelines, Gohan mentioned that someone on Namek could unleash some of our potential. So let's go there and see if it's true.” Lily said as he went to set the course.
“It says we have about three months before we arrived give or take. Now, are you ready to begin our training trip?” Zaraf said after walking out of the control room.
“Training trip?” Towa asked confused.
“We tell you in a moment.” Lily said.
System, we are ready to enter Panlong. Zaraf said in his mind as a portal opened below their feet.
Falling into the portal, he found himself standing in line for something called Ernst Institute enrollment. Standing behind him Lily and Towa were in a similar situation as information about the world flowed into their minds.
It seems that the world set their age back a couple years so they are currently eight again. Why would it reverse their age, he didn’t know or why it cast an illusion over Towa light blue skin. As for the year it was 9990, and currently a brown hair boy was giving an impressive display.
After a few minutes the boy couldn’t go on and ended the test, which impressed everyone as they hailed him as a Prodigy. He was quickly accepted into the academy which he was soon followed by a blonde haired girl.
“Zaraf,” An old man called from his red robes and not looking up. He frowned as he read the name as it was only one, and that means it an orphan.
“Put your hand on the orb.” He said almost disgusted that the orb has to be touched by him.

However instead of showing off all his Affinities the orb only showed wind and fire. The old man attitude changed instantly as he personally walked him over to the next part of the test. There another old man stood there casting a spell on him.
He felt the gravity increase, however since he has been training in hundred times gravity he barely felt it. A few minutes rolled by before he felt the pressure as it was now beginning to pressure his soul. An urge to beat the man up crossed his mind as touching his soul was a one way ticket to the afterlife.
What my status? He asked the system to distract him from beating the man up.

[Due to Host reaching above one million before leaving the DragonBall universe, he is consider Rank One. As for such a rank, in this universe they use what they call Battle Ki and Mage Force which is more potent. Which in return makes it harder to grow in strength the higher their ranks.]
So, each rank is considered a about a million in battle power here. He thought but quickly changed his mind as that didn’t make sense. There is a multiplier between the ranks but by how much I don’t know yet.
When the pressure annoyed him enough he walked off the stage and waited for the verdict. He was instantly entered and all his cost were covered as they gave him a scholarship. As for Lily and Towa, they entered as well, with the same scholarship. However, for some reason Lily kept looking at the Blonde Girl.
I wonder if the system has any way to train here quickly. He thought as being weaker than the two old men rubbed him the wrong way. However let's wait until later, as now we need to find a spot to live for the time being.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
