《The Draconic Lord Rises (Book 1)》Prologue: The Six High Gods

When the world was first created,
Six beings emerged at the same time.
Pyrus, the embodiment of War and Fire.
Aqia, the embodiment of Time and Water.
Slyph, the embodiment of Weather and Wind.
Gaea, the embodiment of Harvest and Earth.
Driz, the embodiment of Afterlife and Night.
Helos, the embodiment of Life and Light.
These six beings became known as the six High Gods and began to create all the life forms in the world. Plants, microorganisms, animals; all were created with an affinity towards one of the six High Gods. Slowly, life began to fill the whole world and began to thrive.
For the first couple millenniums, the world was peaceful as the High Gods and living creatures co-existed together in this new world. That peace, however, wouldn’t last as conflicts began to rise among the animals. Even though the conflicts seemed small at first, it soon escalated and large scale battles between the six factions occurred, which lead to what was known as the first Great High God War.
On one side was Aqia, Slyph, and Driz against Pyrus, Gaea, and Helos. It was a given that Aqia and Slyph would be on the same side as they were lovers. Once Pyrus, Aqia’s rival, decided to join sides with Helos, Aqia and Slyph allied themselves with Driz.
The war lasted for hundreds of years, with billions of deaths on both sides. The High Gods, mortified by the number of casualties, convened for a conference to bring an end to the war. During this conference, the High Gods agreed on the following:
They would no longer interfere with the lives of any of the beings on the world.
They would create a new species based off of themselves to take care of the world: Humans.
In remembrance to the fallen of the war, the souls of those creatures that had passed away in the war would be placed within the body of each human, allowing the humans to borrow the strength of the animal and also giving the animals another chance at life.

With those agreements, the first High God War finally concluded. The six High Gods worked together and created the Human race. After they had taught them basic knowledge and the history of the first High God War, they slowly retracted themselves from humanity and the world so that they could watch from afar.
Humanity, at first, was plunged into fear and chaos when the High Gods left. As time went on though, humans began to separate and settle down in new lands. Towns, Villages, Cities, and Kingdoms slowly began to rise and fall. Humans also began the process of understanding the powers that were given to them through the beast souls and to cultivate.
This story is a tale of a certain man who lived in this world. It is a story about how the man overcomes numerous trials alongside his beast soul and would later be known as the Draconic Lord.
