《Earth: The Gods' Playground》Chapter 37

Some time flew as we sat there resting, the boss haven't moved since then, how strange.
Mine as well as these two mental energies have recovered somewhat so I can have support.
Now, the only thing lacking is weapon, I should buy something better than steel one.
After finding some safe location I look trough the shop and find some nice spears, but this time I don't limit my choice to thrusting spears.
Let's see.
Fine Steel Spear 30c
Masterwork Steel Spear 50c
Simple Steel Polearm 35c
Fine Steel Polearm 55c
Masterwork Steel Polearm 65c
Orichalcum Shoddy Spear 70c
Orichalcum Shoddy Polearm 75
Hmm, nice stuff. And we have orichalcum metal like from fantasy.
After quick checking I have about 78c, barely enough for the best one.
Since I can afford it then let's buy it.
I was tired of being limited to stabbing attacks, now I will stab and slash!
Light gathers as brand new orichalcum spear appears, it seems dangerously fatal.
It doesn't look normal either, with a glint of green color it shows it's quality.
About 2m long with long axe like blade curve. Perfect.
Hmm, come to think of it, I haven't checked that ring that Adam gave me.
Ring of Strength
Gifts greater physical strength to the one who wears it. + 1 Strength
1 strength more, nice.
How high are my current stats?

I get up and start walking to the battlefield just around a corner.
In the middle I hold my polearm tight and swing it hard at the nearby tree!
Slash!
Crack. Crack.
Although the tree wasn't really broad, I managed to claw my weapon half the length trough the tree.

Grin.
"It sure is sharp."
I arrive as my guys wait there ready to battle, the boss still haven't moved at all.
I think it's safe to kill it, but deep inside I feel as if I shouldn't lower my guard.
I grip my polearm tightly while thinking what unexpected danger could there be.
"Thomas you done? You really take your time, let's just go and kill it already, after that I can slowly lead survivors with Chief to Oshen." Monic urges.
"Yeah, I'm old now, and thanks to that shit we can't even leave our village. Screw him!"
"I know your pain, I too want to leave this place soon, let's just do it. Okay, let's bombard it again, but leave some reserves for emergency, after that I will go and kill it."
"Finally!"
"First! Get ready with these two arrows for an emergency."
"Yes Lord." First weaves bow.
I look at the sky, we started in the morning but it's already noon.
Sigh.
"Okay! Dark Bolt!"
2nd bombardment begins.
Boom!
Boom!
...
...
Boom!
~~~~
"Huh, uh. What a tough monster. It didn't die yet."
"Thomas, we are reaching our limits again, I will conserve last energy for emergencies." Chief announces.
"Yeah, yeah, enough with this, it's too resilient to kill with these spells of ours."
I point toward one of my newbie spearman skeleton.
"You, go there and stab that monster until it dies."
Skeleton nods and goes while having it's spear prepared.
"Why not go yourself Thomas?"
"It's safer that way, we don't know what ace it has in it's sleeves yet."
The skeleton arrived in front of Minotaur.
Stab.
Stab.
Stab.
Stab.
"Hmm, it's strength is a bit low, the stabs aren't deep enough."
"Okay, let me do it, ...First, be ready for unexpected."
I grip my polearm and proceed slowly with my guard up, although looking relaxed outside.
Better be safe than sorry, how many times greedy people died in front of treasure.
Step.
Step.
Step.
Step.
While walking slowly I keep my gaze on the monster looking for any slight movements.
I'm only 5m away from the boss. It didn't do anything, maybe it really is immobile?
4m.
3m.
2m.
It's in my range now.
I furrow my brows, isn't there anything? Was I just too tense?
I swing blade side of my polearm in angle which will make the polearm cut the beast in half.
Rustle.
"Roar!"
The instant I moved my weapon, the body which didn't even flinch towards our attacks moved!
Fist carrying all strength left in that monster is coming while glowing light gathers around it at even higher luminance than with club attack.
It's clear it's the ultimate attack it prepared for me.
I won't lose!
Swoosh! Swoosh!
Two arrows instantly land on the arm charging at me!
However the fist hurries unfazed.
I duck with my greatest speed and change the angle of my swing to cut the arm at the elbow!
Slash!
"Roar!"
The front piece of arm is sliced, however the fist still goes!
With only milliseconds away from it reaching my body I leave grip of my polearm and with greatest strength use my steel gauntlet to block while using all my spare energy to cast how many Dark Bolts I can!
As if under guidance they form beside my fist while circling it endlessly preparing to unleash it's deadly force!
BOOOOM!
Our greatest blows collide with the pinnacle strength left in our bodies.
