Before him, in a book never opened, was a list of his attributes: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. The instructions were simple: “You will have to choose a Race, Class, and Background before you can enter.” It was Dungeons & Dragons, and the character was him. What’s more, two of his friends were along for the ride. Unable to go home, they created a party of adventurers to see what’s in store for them in this world called Dungeonia. Will Jack and his friends make it back home? Can their friendship survive under the strains of living in a dangerous realm of fantasy? Will their knowledge of D&D save them from the threats and machinations of goblins, fey, cultists, and an ancient wizard? Are they the only people from the real world trapped in Dungeonia? If everything truly functions like D&D, then who is the Dungeon Master? Some may be answered, some may forever remain mysteries in… Nerds in Dungeonia!

It's 2063, and the town along with much of the nation are in disarray. The decay started years before the Great Event. Our town still had hope thanks to the five families, who'd created a blockchain based water distribution system for the locals, a valuable secret hidden from the Global Water Commission and their network of mercenaries. Earlier in the mid-2040's, right after the state secessions of Idaho, Montana, and Texas, the Global Council of Water Commissioners made their deals and moved into towns throughout the country. They called it "the integration." The Commission and their contractors integrated with municipal water departments, using their organized network to invade like parasites on local services. It all coincided with the 29th Amendment to the United States Constitution, later referred to as the Regional Trident Plan. Nova is a story about survival, power structures, the turning of relationships, and the networking between people and the systems to which they belong. It’s about A.I. blockchain possibility, and its potential for human betterment versus our detriment. It’s about the question of whether or not we need to be saved from ourselves, and by who or what? The Great Event at the end of the first chapter might just be what actually saves us. The epilogue will take place in 2517. This scene is fully sketched and the full arc of the novel is set. I expect to finish Nova Interitus by summer of 2023. This is realist hard-sci-fi dystopian fiction. I hope you find Nova to be a challenging and consuming story. This is not something I planned to write. It all came to me in a dream and I haven't been able to stop writing it. (I did the cover with ms paint) In Clover, the land of eternal wars peace was scarce like falling stars. Flames of war plagued this land for as long as people could remember. The Fade, a terrifying plague thawed those flames but left a land piled with the bodies of its victims. Ehran’s wife and daughter Fell to its clutches, leaving him alone and devastated. Haunted by their memories, he left his homeland and came to a small town in the queendom of Robera. There he received news that the queen had issued a quest to find the Book of Dreams. A device that can answer all the questions. Rumour was that the book lay in the Dreaming mountains. A place Ehran knew well. The place where his home had been, the only peaceful place in the land of Clover. Determined to find a cure for the incurable disease in the pages of the book, Erhan started his journey to the capital city Valar to join this quest. So, This is the first time I'm putting up anything definite anywhere, online or offline, for anyone to read. Since it's also my first NaNoWriMo project and I went in completely blank right on November first,(I mean literally. I didn't prepare at all. had no idea how the NaNo site even worked) I'm completely discovery writing it(pantsing's never really been my feviorite term). As I didn't have time to edit or anything, it's probably... well, I don't want to say 'crap', so you can judge for yourselves. Also, it might be a bit on the purple side. So go ahead and enjoy. BTW. Call it a Mission
Palantine and Co. is an unusual company that does its work in an unusual field. But it's attractive enough to out of work Gary Bellamy, and offers decent pay and a good benefits package. But there are a few things a little strange about the local office. The CEO is perpetually out of town, apparently in search of ‘Enlightenment’. His co-workers are involved in research and investigations involve the likes of Bigfoot, ghosts, walk-ins and other supernatural phenomena, for who its not quite clear. It all seems a bit dodgy to Gary but again, good benefits package. Ephram Palantine is having problems of his own. His search for Enlightenment hasn’t been going all that well, has lead down some rather bizarre rabbit holes. It's about to get a lot worse. The employees of Palantine and Co. are themselves hoping their new hire is exactly what they need. Otherworldly phenomena is on the rise. A seven year old girl has gone missing in northern Michigan, and they are sure it involves something that happened to Gary when he was a boy, thirty years ago, not to mention that there have been sightings of same identical dead man on a Lake Erie beach now for several decades. Some might call what Gary and his co-workers are about to get involved in to protect humanity from a world whose borders with other realities are fraying at the edges, incredible and perhaps even insane. Some might call it a mission.

Sharp skyscrapers, neon lights and fast cars - Cybercity is everything anyone could want... at least on the surface. Below the image of prosperity lies an ugly reality. Gangs run the slums and fear keeps the homeless out of sight. Poverty rates are increasing every year. Something has to be done, and Edam's friend, Saavi, thinks she knows what it is. But her attempt at bringing justice to the city just might unhinge a fragile system even more... (New chapters usually once a week :)
