Chapter 28 – A Big Surprise and That Kid

I reappeared in my room and started contemplating on what to do now. It seems that many things changed when I was meditating and I must know all the things that happened before I make my move. Lucy is still sleeping now, so what should I do?

I spread my Divine Sense and covered the whole city. I was really surprised by what I saw; the city was really advanced and the people here already got used to their lifestyle. If I had to compare this city to something, it would be a medieval city that is often seen if fantasy novels.

There is a king’s castle where I am right now, a nobles’ district, I knew this because I saw Jack in there, then there was the commoners’ district that also contained a market. Aside from the nobles’ houses, there weren’t any science-fiction level devices in the city and the people that live in the commoners’ district were quite weak and from what I saw, they aren’t fighters at all.

It seems that I had a lot to catch up to, so I used Time Magic to make time flow faster. I kept using it until about 6 hours passed; I deactivated it when I noticed that Lucy woke up. I teleported next to her and she looked at me with a warm smile.

“Hey, Chris, did you like the changes that happened to the city?” She asked, still smiling.

“Well, that’s the reason I came here to look for you. I didn’t understand how the hell did this happen, so you have to explain it to me” I told her.

To summarize what she said, since I was away, she took over the position of leading the kingdom as the queen; of course she had my clone’s help. My clone could have changed his appearance and pretended to be me, but since he is dead, I have no way of knowing why.

It seems that the other factions surrendered to us and we have now controlled the whole world. The African continent took time to conquer, but Lucy said that a little ‘show’ from my clone made all of them surrender.

People kept coming to our castle, so it had to be modified and after they made it bigger and bigger, it became a city and Lucy decided to make it the capital. They still didn’t give it an official name, but people are calling it Divine City, so I guess we’ll stick with that.

From all the personnel that we gathered, Lucy and my clone chose the smart ones and made them nobles. As for the powerful ones, they joined the military as high ranking individuals. Icewalker and Pyro both became generals in the army and that made them have a noble title. They both became Dukes.

There aren’t any Archdukes except Jack, but there are only 3 Dukes; both of the aforementioned people and another really smart person that was discovered in Africa. Normally, generals become Marquis, but since Icewalker and Pyro were former leaders, making them Dukes was the least form of respect from us.

It seems that the army progressed greatly and we have many soldiers now. Guards were also organized and they are now doing their jobs as police men all over the world.

What surprised me the most was that kid, Tyler. It seems that he managed to become the Royal General and he is now the supervisor of all the royal guards. Out of curiosity, my clone once asked him why didn’t he go to the military and he answered him by saying ‘If I want to meet that person, becoming a general isn’t enough. I must be close to the royal family’.

Lucy was also there and she was surprised by his determination. It seems that my words back then lit a flame in his heart; I will go meet him later.

All in all, the situation is stabilized and everybody is happy with the new kingdom that is ruling the world. Ah, I forgot to mention this, but since we were able to rule over 5 billion people, our kingdom evolved and became an empire.

Fuck all of them! After I fucking worked hard to have some fun time toying with the factions to rule them, this happens and everything just vanished into thin air. All the fun things that I planned to do were for nothing, goddammit!

I was really angry because it was that important. I now don’t have many things that could keep me interested, the upcoming war will give me some fun time, but it will only last for a day max. Also, I’m not the main character in the war, hell I’m not even one of the strongest there. From what I heard from Zeus, the fallen angels have many people that match his strength and I can’t reach that. If I’m not the one in control, how the fuck could I enjoy something?

Well, putting that aside, I’m a bit glad that everything went fine and nothing unexpected happened.

As I stood up and was about to teleport, Lucy stopped me by grabbing my hand. I looked at her and she was blushing and her face was beet-red. I had a confused look on my face as I asked her.

“What’s wrong, what happened?”

“Y-y-you s-s-ee, I’m…” She tried to say something, but her stuttering made me unable to hear it.

“I can’t hear you, are you okay, Lucy?” I asked with a little worry on my face.

“I’M PREGNANT” She took a deep breath and shouted with a voice filled with joy and excitement.

When I heard what she said, my brain short-circuited and was fried. I couldn’t hear anything, I couldn’t feel anything. Everything around me was still and nothing entered my perception.

I looked down at Lucy’s direction and I could see that her mouth was moving, saying something, but I couldn’t hear anything she said. That was how much shocked I was by her words.

I tried to say something, but nothing sounded out of my throat. I kept trying and trying and eventually, some muffled sounds rang out. Lucy had a confused look on her face as she saw me like that.

“… F-F….Y-Y…. Fu….Ye…. FUCK YEAH!” At last, the words came out and I shouted with all my might. That was a bad move as I instinctively used my energy while shouting.

I immediately understood the consequences of my actions and before the sound could reach her ears, I blocked them with my energy so that it wouldn’t hurt her. I was really surprised by myself to be able to act faster than sound, but I guess that happens when you get as strong as me. I’m able to move faster than sound in normal movements and I can even reach the speed of light, but to condense energy and coat something in a speed that surpassed sound? It was the first time I did it.

Lucy was okay because of my protection, but that didn’t involve the castle, city and all the citizens. When my roar sounded out, not only the castle, but the whole city shook. It was like an earthquake just happened. After the voice died down, I could hear screams of pain coming from everywhere. The method of healing that I used on Victor isn’t going to work, so I quickly bought Healing Magic in the system. After that, I used a wide area healing spell to heal everybody in the city. I didn’t care if they were injured or not and I healed all of them indiscriminately.

Lucy was surprised by the shout and she looked at me with a strange look. When my eyes met hers, I forgot about everything that just happened and I immediately hug her with all the love that my dampened emotions could muster.

I’m going to be a father, motherfuckers! I didn’t know why those strong people become flustered when they hear they would become fathers or when their sons are born and I thought that it was unrealistic, but now that I lived the same experience, I can understand their feelings.

Lucy also hugged me back and soon enough, we started kissing. We didn’t have sex because firstly, she was tired and secondly, I didn’t want to disturb the baby inside her.

I tried to use my Divine Sense to watch him and it worked! He was only a fetus now, so there wasn’t anything to look at. However, I unexpectedly felt relieved that he is fine and that he doesn’t have any problem with his growth.

After talking with Lucy for a while, I got out of her room and teleported to Tyler’s place. He was in an office in the castle and he was doing some paperwork. I teleported behind him to not make him notice and watched him working for a while.

He was concentrated in his work and didn’t even lift his eyes from the reports on his desk. I teleported again, but this time, I appeared in front of him and sat on a sofa that was there.

He still didn’t notice me, this guy. He would be a perfect target for an assassin now. He shouldn’t let his guard now this much. However, I soon noticed the problem, it seems that I unconsciously suppressed my presence and given our gap of strength, there was no way for him to notice me even if I was standing in front of him. Of course, that was if he wasn’t looking at me.

I stopped hiding my presence and said in a deep work.

“I see that you’re working very hard.”

He looked up and he activated his ability. I felt the energy gathering at an area around him with a 10 meter radius and he said ‘bind’. I felt the energy trying to bind me, but I simply willed it and his ability was nullified.

A sword appeared in his hands and he was about to slash at me, but he stopped when he saw my face. It seemed that he didn’t know who he was attacking and just used his power as a reflex, quite good if I had to say.

I smiled at him and said.

“I see that you’ve became stronger, Tyler. How have you been doing these past few months?”

He sat down on his desk and tried to suppress his excitement from appearing on his face, but with a single look to his eyes, I was able to figure it out.

“I did as I you told me to and climbed this high. What do you think?” He said with a serious look on his face.

“Hmm, still not enough. It’s true that I told you climb higher, but that also meant in strength. You’re too weak right now.” I replied.

“But, I trained hard and became this strong. I entered the top ten in the world and it still isn’t enough? How much do you want me to become stronger to finally acknowledge me?” He said and you could feel his helplessness in his voice.

I see, this guy must have looked up to me and wanted to become like me. I could be considered his savior as I got him out of the despair he was in, but I still didn’t think that he would become like this.

“Hmm, it seems that you don’t understand the level of strength that I consider to be strong. Here, have a look at this and you will understand what real strength is.” I used my Mind Magic to send him a memory of mine. It was the memory of the fight between me and those thousands of Deities.

His eyes widened in surprise and a look of despair appeared for an instant. He must have thought ‘I could never become this strong’. However, unexpectedly, his eyes shined with a bright determination and he said in a serious voice.

“I will become as strong as those people. I won’t let you down, so please don’t abandon me. This is the only place where I belong now.”

“Hahaha, it looks like I was wrong about you. I thought that you would give up after seeing something so powerful, but you didn’t! Alright, I’ll wait for you. I’ll give you a gift to make the path that you’ve chosen shorter and easier” I said as I made a pill through alchemy after preparing everything needed to make it.

This pill here will serve to strengthen him in every aspect. His soul, his body, the amount of energy he has, the quality of energy that he has (it makes it purer), this pill enhance everything. Also, the changes that it would bring aren’t little; it would make every aspect of his at least 20 times more powerful than before. With this, I believe that he could become #2 in the world.

After I handed him the pill, I vanished from that place and went to visit those people.

P.S: The first 2 chapters were bad even after editing and I didn't know how to improve them. (I guess that I was that bad when I started) However, if you pass them, the quality of the others is definitely guaranteed.
