Chapter 14 – My First Kiss

-Three Days Later-

It’s been 3 days since the test conducted by the demon. In these few days, I’ve become able to utilize my powers to their full extent.

There are a few things that I learned:

First, I am now able to fuse 2 elements together to form new type of attacks. Here you would expect me to buy all kinds of magic and fuse them together, but I didn’t do that because it would be troublesome to memorize all of them. My favorite fused magic that I have now is ‘Space Freeze’. With this spell that I made by combining Time and Space elements, I can stop time and the spatial movements themselves with this. It is a little bit hard to understand, but take the demon for example, he can resist my ‘Time Stop’ and he’s able to move when I use it, but when I invoke my new magic, he won’t be able to do that, unless he destroys the space itself.

It is possible for him to do it, but only after he transforms to his true appearance. I asked him about the might of my new spell and he said that with it, I am undefeatable between Deities.

I was a bit shocked by what he said, but after giving it a little bit of thinking, it felt as something expected. Even the demon had to be serious to counter it.

Second, I’ve become able to use any magic with my sword as the medium. It gives a boost to its power and since my sword is quite powerful and it reached the ‘Divine’ rank after I enchanted it with some powerful enchantments other than the weight reducing one. It seemed that every weapon had a limited number of enchantment based on its material, but since mine was made on Adamantine, I was able to enchant it with 4 ones. I could do more, but I didn’t have anything else that I wanted to add to it, I could always enchant it when I need it. I added to it the effects of ‘Sharp’ / ‘Indestructible’ / ‘Absorb Energy’ / ‘Ignore Defense’.

To try them out, I used ‘Transformation’ to make Adamantine and it could easily cut through it, I had to insert some force, but it was expected because of the toughness of the material. For ‘Ignore Defense’, I asked the demon to let me attack him while wearing some armor of his. Actually, it wasn’t able to penetrate it, I was confused, but it was cleared up by his words.

It seemed that as the sword was about to penetrate the armor and go through it, one of the armor’s enchantments worked and it prevented that. He also told me that it was powerful enough, so I didn’t have to worry about its power.

Aside from these, I gained very precious fighting experience from having bouts and sparring with the demon. One day, I was a little bit irritated since I didn’t know his name, so I made a gamble with him. If I managed to touch him, he would tell it to me. The time limit was 1 hour and the condition was that he couldn’t transform and I couldn’t use any restricting type skills like ‘Spatial Freeze’. It went unexpectedly bad, I was surprised by the results, I couldn’t get near him at all!

After we finished, I was a little ‘depressed’, so he told me that if I became a Deity, he would tell me. (Plan worked! He was easily deceived to my surprise).

Also, in these days, I found out that the one who blessed Lucy was actually the demon. And because of that, he trained her and helped her discover her powers a bit. She became a little bit stronger, but it was leagues below my strength.

Jack was the weakest of us, and I felt a little bad for him, so I asked the demon if he is able to help him. He agreed to my constant ‘pleading’ and asked one of his subordinated that specialized in Death Magic to give his Legacy to Jack, basically making him his champion.

Also, I just learned about it, but Lucy also received the same Quest as me. It seemed that this demon and Zeus have the same objective, I’m quite suspicious of what they want from us, but I can’t actually refuse because firstly, I felt gratified to them and secondly, they can just force me to be useful to them.

Jack seemed to also receive a Quest, it was about making an army of Undead. It was detailed and the varied number of troops were on it. Like 500 Zombies, 100 Liches… These are just examples since Jack didn’t tell us the details.

Back to present, it seems that it is finally the time for me to become a Deity.

When we finished our training today, the demon told me to get ready because tomorrow, we will be going ‘Deity Hunting’. It seems that not just me, but also Lucy is becoming one. I asked him if it’s fine to rush her growth, but he said that we don’t have the time for that and we must become stronger. I felt that it was bad for Lucy, but I couldn’t refute his words. Because Jack didn’t have a Quest and was really weak to become a god, it was decided (mostly by the demon) that it would instead hinder his growth and he won’t need it.

Late at night, I heard someone knocking on the door and with a thought, it opened.

What greeted me was Lucy wearing a nightgown that seductively showed her beautiful and perfect curves. I didn’t pay attention to it, but it seems that she has a really nice body. I felt my body heating up, it felt strange because I shouldn’t be feeling like this because of the nature of my body, but I kept it under control and smiled at her while asking.

“Couldn’t sleep?”

“Yes, I was very nervous. My strength is a bit weak and I’m a little bit afraid of fighting against gods” She replied. I felt some anxiety and fear in her voice.

I, then, laid up from my bed and sat on it. I beckoned her to sit beside me. After she did that, I told her.

“Don’t worry about it, I’m sure that that old man knows his stuff, I’m sure that he has a plan and won’t let you die tomorrow” I tried to be as gentle and reassuring as I could which was a little bit hard because of my limited emotions.

“That’s what I’m worried about. I’m afraid of that man, I feel endangered every time he is near me. I’m really anxious about him. I feel scared that he has some plans that would involve us in real danger.” She replied, worry and concern clearly in her voice.

After some silence that continued for few minutes, I said in a low voice.

“I’ll protect you” it was barely audible and she only heard a murmur coming from me.

“Hmm? What did you say?” She asked, confused.

“Tomorrow, I’ll surely protect you. Even if I have to risk my life, I will save yours. So, don’t worry and get cheerful. You know my strength and I promise that I will keep you away from danger” I told her vigorously.

After some time of staring at each other, her face got closer to mine and she… kissed my lips. It felt soft, the warmth of her breath tickled me and sent massive currents throughout my whole body, I felt myself get out of control and I suddenly grasped her and pushed her into the bed. Just as I was about to ‘eat her up’, the door of my room broke and what stood there was the demon with his eyes wide open and his mouth forming an ‘o’ shape. It was hilarious.

“Sorry, guys. I interrupted you, you can continue” He said, a little bit panicked. I felt a little surprised, even him can become like that.

After he left, an awkward silence dominated the room until it was interrupted by Lucy who stood up and ran towards the door, but before she left, I heard her murmur “Thank you”.

“That motherfucker, he just had to come in in the perfect moment” I cursed the bastard who conveniently interjected in the flawless moment.

‘*Sigh* I guess that even me can get in love, huh. Not that I’m complaining, though. It would be great if I was able to end up with a girl like Lucy.’ I thought, contemplating what happened.

-The Next Day-

After waking up, I directly went to the room where the demon is living at, it was just beside mine so it wasn’t far. When I entered, I found Jack, Lucy and an old man, standing there waiting for me. When my gaze met with Lucy’s, she blushed and her face turned a bright red. Jack was confused, but I swear I could see a grin at the demon’s face. That old bastard, maybe yesterday, he deliberately did that. I need to find out about this.

“Alright, now that we are all here, we’ll begin our plan. Jack is just participating to get some fighting experience. In this expedition, 2 other people will be joining us, one of my and Zeus’ friends and his disciple who just broke through to the Deity rank. He wanted to get some experience, so I didn’t reject. The old beast could also lend me a hand to clean up some opponents. Enough chitchatting, we’ll go and meet with the 2 then we’ll begin our mission, understood?”

“””Yes, master””” All of us replied at the same time.

Hey, guys. Sorry for no chapter release yesterday. I attended a party and I only came back home at 8 PM. I could've wrote a chapter, but I was tired and didn't have the motivation to write.

That also happened today, I could've written 2 chapter today, but I didn't have the motivation to that at all. i only wrote this one because I didn't find anything to read or do.

It may have some mistakes because I didn't proofread it, but I want you to tolerate them.

And because of this subject, I also won't be posting chapters daily, I will post chapters every 2 days and maybe if something happened in real life, 3 days.

I'm really sorry, guys. I didn't want to disappoint you especially because of the success that this story had which I didn't expect at all.
