《Olympus》Chapter One: Creation (Pr'd)

I decided to update this with the first chapter. It is Monday and I can't update Blood Born until I reach a computer, I won't risk massive issues because of my phone there. For this one I will however, it's in the early stages and easily fixed before continuing haha! Enjoy folks.
Thank you Roguemist for PRing this chapter. ^.^
New user registered. Commencing character creation. Showing background options.
Noble: a young noble starting out on their own. Trained from birth in politics, and manipulating people.
Trader: A new trader out to gain their fortune. A shrewd customer with all things sold and purchased, your deal making ability is profound.
Ex-Gladiator: a freed gladiator, you have gained freedom from your master through hardship, and trials within the ring. You wish now to live a life of freedom.
Slave: An escaped slave, you were used from a young age, abused and trained to be servile, will you break free?
I looked at the background options in wonder. So amazing! I thought, just like dragon age, my favorite game. Grinning from ear to ear, I chose slave.
Each background had its advantages and disadvantages of course, it actually changed how the Npc’s see and react to you. The interface also advised that each player received there own unique background choices based on there appearance, and public records profile such as Facebook which is looked up by the system and gone over.
Slave would give me the hardest beginning, but the perks are well worth it. If I managed to escape slavery through the in games customized first quest, I'd receive a special reward of my choosing.
Oh! I chose the Greek States as my faction, I love the underdog. Fighting the hardest for the better reward, in this case shifting the balance of power for when beta ends.

"System, do we choose our rewards for the quest prior to entering the world, or after?"
I doubted it could answer, it was a computer program now matter how advanced.
User, as one of the first ten to register the system has allowed you the option to choose. You may choose from three options, a weapon of your choice that evolves and grows strong as you do. A piece of armor with the same quality, or a pet.
I contemplated that for a time. The first two had obvious perks, but...I was an animal person. And I knew pets in this game would be rare and hard to acquire. Few would as well because they always came in infant form and would take two in game years to mature enough to be of real help.
"If I choose the pet may I pick the species, and if possible have two?"
I was stretching it, but I had a plan. I only hoped it would allow me to do so.
User advised, as the only one of the first ten to choose the pet as your reward, knowing it's downside, you have been given the ability to do this.
I smiled at the female guide, one of my few truly happy smiles...did it just blush? Never mind. I quickly went to the options of available species in the European area of ancient Greece. A literal horde of animals, and there adult version’s, appeared before me.
I went through them, finding the one I wanted. Lion, they were common enough in Rome and one of Hercules twelve labors dealt with the Nemean Lion.
"Two lion cubs, male and female. One black, and one white please!
I was so excited when my choice was confirmed. Then came the character customization stage. I was greeted with an exact copy of my current self, its eyes dead and listless for now.

Six feet one inch in height, the body a little out of shape around the gut because of my crippled state, but not ungodly so. Arms toned, and fit, legs a little scrawny but decent enough.
My face, stubble from my beard shown plainly on a square, somewhat angular jaw. Not unattractive, but certainly not a GQ model. Blond hair, and vibrant, emerald green eyes. I could change some things, but I decided not to. This was my body, and the world I was going to would be my home. I smiled, and hit accept.
Unable to complete character creation, user name not given. Please input first and last name of your character.
I face palmed. Of course I'd forget the single part that was truly needed.
"Crispin Leonholdt" the same name of my characters in other RPGs, and also the character I'd been writing about for fun for years.
I hit create, and with a blinding light I was thrown into the world.
What greeted me, was a small dirt pile surrounded by bars, and on my right shoulder a brand in the shape of Ares the Greek god of war, still fresh.
Congratulations! You are the only player to choose the Greek States as your faction at this time! (You poor basterd, so lonely, go cry) as a result you will be given the title of Loner, and your rewards from quests, and events will be increased for a period of one week in game
.....what the hell?
Here you go folks! It's a start and I have some fun plans. A reminder and advisory. This will be based on history and a lot will be thrown in. However, it is a game, and some characters will be from fictions to increase game liking in there world, for instance Xena may show up, perhaps others. There will be beasts from Hercules twelve trials at some point as well, though hardly what they seem :p. I hope you enjoy this short chapter. Length will increase from now on.
