CH 29|| Evolved!
As he stared at the stone he continued to ponder until like a lightning bolt a thought struck him.
"Maybe there's a limit to how far one can grow from this or maybe there's simply not enough mana stones in the world this big. Could this resource actually be the reason the dragon's fought each other so long ago."
Draden didn't have a for sure answer, so he could only wonder and question it, but the more he thought about it the more confused he became. So he threw the thought to the back of his mind for later and he focused on his body. Even though he had only trained twice within the dragon he felt the drastic changes his body had gone through. His muscles were tougher, his bones were denser and his senses had all heightened.
He knew this mana stone was the key to his freedom and so from that day on he decided to train every day for as long as he could until he was completely exhausted. He would train from the moment he woke to the moment he collapsed every single day. At first he could train for nearly ten days, but that soon expanded to 2 weeks straight and then he could train for a month straight. Pushups, squats, crunches, kicks and punches all day every day.
As time passed, he himself didn't realise but the time he spent in there was making his body quickly evolvE into something outside the realm of a normal elf. Though, the more he trained the thirstier he would get. Thirst thirst thirst, soon that was all his mind could think of and so he would try to train to rid himself of the thought, but the more he trained the more it would hit him.
Thirst thirst thirst, this continued for months and then the months became years and then centuries and then he reached the 1,000th year. Still he trained and still he thought of the thirst. Countless more years passed until he eventually forgot why he was there. After all this time, he had even forgotten how he fought a dragon and was swallowed whole and he forgot he was trapped in this pitch black stomach. He even forgot he was training.
He had trained for so long that he didn't even realize his body was still moving. His mind had broken long ago, but even then because of muscle memory even without a conscious thought his body still trained. The one thing that remained in the confines of his mind, that just repeated like a loop, was one simple word, thirst thirst thirst over and over again.
1,000 more years passed and another 1,000 after that and another and another. Without his mind his body kept on moving, kept on improving, kept on growing stronger. After all this time had passed the elf Draden was gone. All memories all the precious moments that once were a part of him were lost in the recesses of his mind and only thirst remained.
Time flowed on until one day an accident occurred within the dragon's stomach. Draden's body trained as usual punching, kicking, pushups, crunches, squats. Suddenly the entire space where Draden trained was flipped 90 degrees and Draden was thrown into the lake of acid. It seems the dragon must have rolled over or something. As his body submerged 5-10 nearly 15 feet down.

Draden accidently inhaled some of the acid, but the acid didn't burn his throat nor did it melt his flesh and as that acid made its way down his throat and into his intestines and then stomach something happened. Like the heavens them self-parted, Draden's mind snapped back to reality and he recognized where he was and he panicked.
He quickly swam to the surface of the lake and grabbed the stone, but every place on the stone he grabbed crumbled beneath his grip. Causing him to fall and splash back into the lake. His mind was in a state of fear and shock, he thought clearly this was the end since he fell back in he wouldn't have enough time to heal himself. He resigned himself to his fate and clutched his eyes shut tight and awaited his death.
But nothing happened, 1 second 2 3 5 10 but no burning no intense pain no death no nothing, absolutely nothing happened. Draden couldn't understand it, but he knew something must have changed and since the acid wasn't burning him with a bit of courage he managed to open his eyes beneath the lake. Once again no burning, no death, but not only that, with his eyes he could see within the lake.
Draden had no words he didn't know what happened, but something was clearly different. He swam to the surface and he was stunned at what he saw, well, he could see everything even though it was completely pitch black. He swam up to the mana stone and grabbed at a spot to try and lift himself out of the lake, but again the placed he grabbed broke off.
He could feel something in his hand and when he opened it. To his amazement, there was powdered mana stone resting on top of his palm. His grip had actually crushed the piece of stone, instantly turning it into a fine powder. Draden stared at his hand astonished. It was said that mana stone was, in fact, harder than diamond. Not only that but it was also thee hardest substance in all of Gordonia and with a small squeeze he had turned it to powder.
Draden thought he had actually died and was somehow imagining all this and so he bit his lip to make sure he wasn't dead or in some weird dreamland. A small trickle of blood left his mouth and hit the lake he could taste the bit of iron in his blood and as he swallowed those few drops of his own blood it hit him. Thirst thirst thirst.
Draden remembered it all now, how he kept training and how he wanted to forget just one thing, the thirst. And although he forgot everything else, for a split second he had wondered if he actually had forgotten the thirst, but indeed he had not. Draden howled in agony, angry at himself for being swallowed by this stupid fucking dragon. Causing him to be trapped for so long. He balled his hand into a fist and struck out like lightning straight towards the mana stone and at the moment of impact.
*BANG*
The entire mana stone turned to rubble and disappeared into the lake. That's when draden realized his power had grown, he felt for the first time in thousands of years his body's changes. His senses were heightened by thousands of times, his bones were stronger than diamond and his flesh was tougher than steel.

His body was filled with such an abundance of mana it was quite dreadful. Even though he was a warrior he could tell that his mana could outstrip any mage in the world. He felt like he was invincible, he quickly wondered why he was still within the dragon if he was so strong. So Draden swam over to the wall of the stomach and again he balled his fist and struck out, but before he hit the wall he couldn't help but think.
Draden's POV
"Kukuku you think you can eat me whole and get away with it. You damn dragon, no way, no fucking way. I'm gonna eat this fucker instead kukuku, I'm going to devour you ."
And so he began, Draden placed his mouth against the edge of the stomach and with his powerful hard as diamond teeth he took a huge bite of the stomach. His teeth cleanly going through like a hot knife through butter and although it was easy to take a bite. The sound of Draden's teeth against the flesh of the dragon sounded as if two pieces of metal were clashing against each other. That's how tough the dragons flesh was and how much tougher Draden's teeth now were.
After that first bite, the taste immediately hit his tongue. It was like a rare steak, it melted in his mouth like it was liquid based and whether it was from not eating in thousands of years or something else entirely. To Draden, it was the most delicious thing he had ever tasted. Draden swallowed with one big gulp and for the first time in thousands of years substance hit the inside of Draden's stomach.
He snapped, gorging himself, 10 bites, 20, 100 until he had eaten his way outside the stomach and into the fat of the dragon. Meanwhile, while this was happening, the dragon clearly felt intense pain coming from his stomach and tried to heal itself, but every time it tried to heal itself, Draden's teeth would tear through more of its flesh putting the dragon into a state of alarm as well as intense pain.
To Draden though he was simply eating. It was like no matter how much he ate it wasn't enough. It seemed as if each bite disappeared once it reached his stomach, he needed more. His pace quickened and the dragon was now in a state of panic. It used more magic and tried to heal itself faster, but something was wrong, It couldn't feel its supply of mana anymore.
As the dragon pondered what to do soon the pain was too intense. It immediately flew out of its home and headed for the nearest mountain. It wanted to use dimensional travel, but its magic was nearly depleted and the pain continued to grow. So instead it flew into nearby mountains, crashing with its front first directly smashing its stomach into mountain sides and cliffs. For some reason, though nothing seemed to help.
It did this for hours until it came upon a volcano, without hesitation it flew directly into a large volcanic crater and dove into a pool of lava. It knew it could survive the high temperature, to a dragon lava was barely even considered warm and compared to a dragon's flame lava was like a warm breeze. The dragon figured whatever was causing it pain, wouldn't be able to survive the high temperature like it could, but how wrong it was. Not only did the pain continue it even increased and just when the dragon thought it would die from the pain.
*CRUNCH* *TEAR*
The dragons flesh ripped and the scales on its stomach cracked like glass and shattered open. It was known throughout the world that a dragon's scales were as tough as most metals, but hear this dragon's stomach cracked and tore open like nothing.
Finally 2 hands appeared, poking out of the stomach of the beast. As the hands did nothing more than a simple wave, 6 feet high of flesh was tore out of the way and one elf simply walked out into the lava. The dragon roared in anguish and in a furious manner struck out at the elf with a claw and as it hit. The elf's body was sent flying into a wall of rock, indenting it with an elf shaped crater.
"HOW DARE YOU INFLICT A WOUND UPON ME!!"
But to the dragons astonishment he hadn't killed this small elf. The elf should be meat paste upon the volcanic wall, there should be nothing left but a stain, but not only did the dragons mighty blow not kill this elf, but the dragon could even clearly hear the elf laughing.
"Kukukuku you call that a blow. I didn't know you dragon's carried around feathers because that's what it felt like kukuku."
The dragon looked on in fury, this little elf not only survived the dragons blow but actually dared to laugh and make fun of the dragon. The dragons pride simply could not allow such a creature to exist and so the dragon inhaled a torrent of wind and with a great bellow it unleashed its dragon flame at the elf.
To this dragons amazement, the small elf creature didn't even try to escape. It was said that a dragon's flame was the hottest flame in the world reaching close to 10,000 degrees, nearly 5 times hotter than lava. So when this elf just took the flame head on, it left the dragon surprised.
Even other dragons wouldn't recklessly take on another dragon's flame, they could easily kill one another with it. As the dragon's breath pounded the elf and the wall behind him, the rocks easily melted all around him from the high heat. When the dragon finally stopped its breath a plum of smoke shot out in every direction blocking the dragons vision.
After several minutes, the smoke finally cleared and the elf was completely unharmed. The dragon watched in shock as the small creatures entire body was covered in liquid rock and its flesh didn't melt. It simply smiled and once more broke out into a laughter.
"Kukukuku hahaha amazing, AMAZING!! the power coursing through me, what is this feeling, like nothing can obstruct me, like nothing can stand in my way ."
Draden looked at the dragon's twisted expression and in a loud shout he yelled.
"MY TURN !!"
