"M-my name is Silini, Master"
"Can I call you Sil? If its only fine to you."
"Of course Master, anything is fine."
'Sil keep on calling me "Master" maybe a habit from her former master, but I'm still not sure if she's a former slave or a local citizen of this City. I better ask.'
"Sil, my name is Truend, you can call me by that if you want. By the way, why are you calling me "Master"? And no offense, but are you a former slave?"
"I wouldn't dare Master, after all you also saved me earlier. My last master always tell me to call everybody "Master" except those slaves like me. Yes, I'm a slave before you saved me Master, for some reason after my last master died, I feel that the slave mark around my neck disappear."
"I know that old habits are hard to remove but still try it little by little, I won't force you. Don't you know that almost all the Slavers put a command at their slave's slave mark that will kill all of them once their Slaver die?"
"I don't know."
After hearing and realizing it she answered me in low voice and with a dark and grim expression then look down so I quickly say.
"Don't worry about it anymore, you are now free. You're not a slave anymore."
I look at Sil's looking down head and like a heavy rain fall, Sil's tears suddenly fall in front of her, I can only see her tears because her face is covered by her hair while looking down and she start to mumble something like.
"I'm finally free."
'I guess it finally hit her that she's now freed, slaves in this world really had it hard.'
Sil keep on weeping silently for a couple of minutes and I just wait for her, I keep on stopping my urge to pat her head, because right now she look so fragile that I feel, I might break her with just a simple touch.

When she's done I wait until she able to relax and fix her composure a little then I continue to ask her some question.
"Now Sil, how can you able to follow me?"
"I also don't know Master, after I saw you for the first time at the rooftop, I can able to somehow feel your presence and so I followed it."
'Did Zet do something about this. But I can't jump on conclusion until I hear it from her.'
"Can you still feel it now? And Why are you following me? Is it because I saved you?"
"I can still feel it, Master. That's only half of it, the other half is..."
"Is?"
I look at Sil and she look like hesitating to answer but still say.
"I don't know how to explain it Master. Last night while I'm sleeping, I dream of a beautiful young girl, she's alone sitting in a white room and looked so sad, maybe because she's alone then suddenly I have this strong urge to talk to her, I want to call her and ask her name but suddenly I woke up. Then when I saw you at the rooftop for the first time the image of the beautiful young girl flash at my mind, but after hearing your voice for the first time I start to got confused."
"Does the beautiful young girl look like this?"
I slowly remove my helmet while talking.
'I guess I'm right. I really want to talk to Zet right now, but she's the only one that have a way to make a contact, she also said that she'll be busy. Nothing can do about it now huh.'
Sil is in totally shock and yes, she freeze with a mouth wide open.
I want to poke her face but remembering earlier that it don't have any effect at all, I look at her tail. I lightly pinch the tip of her tail and to my surprise she almost jump off the bed making me laugh, she woke up from being frozen and return to her former spot and sit again but this time she start to guard her tail and say.

"M-master are you perhaps a young girl? And please stop touching my tail, it's more sensitive than you can imagine, specially if people touch it except myself."
"I can't promise that I won't. To clear some of your confusion, I'm a certified male and I'm not young."
"B-but Master--"
I cut her and say.
"Don't argue about it Sil, because that's the truth."
"O-ok, Master."
Sil answer so I ask again quickly.
"Now, Why are you following me? I still haven't hear your reason Sil."
"It's because Master I want to come with you, I promise that I won't be a burden. Ill do my best."
She said that while bowing deeply.
"Why Sil?"
"Master after seeing your sad looking face for some reason I want to stay at your side more than anything, I know it sound selfish but I want to try changing it."
'I guess it's fine, right. after all I feel like I can trust her more than anyone.'
The truth is I'm so lonely, from my former world or even here. I don't know who's my real parents are and the first thing I remembered is when I'm already living at the Orphanage and a couple of Years passed, then one day a rich old couple adopt me. They gave everything I needed including love but it didn't last long because they are both old, after a couple of more Years when both of my adoptive parents are dead, again I'm hit with a strong loneliness. A lot of people are around me but each and everyone of them had some motives and I can clearly see and feel it so I still feel alone. But for some reason I don't feel any negative from Sil.
"You're already free, right? So you can do whatever you want, do you really want to come with me Sil?"
She slowly lift her head and look at me straight in the eyes and answer.
"Yes, Master."
"Great."
I unconsciously pat her head.
'I wonder how will she help me.'
"But first, Sil you need to recover. You're so thin and wait here a little, I'll order some buckets of water downstairs so you can clean yourself. Today will gonna be busy."
Saying those with a smile on my face, I put my helmet back and walk to the door.

The Mentor
This one is for my daughter. She talked me into it (again) and it is her favorite genre of books. So, Bet, this one is for you. The true-bloods, the masters, they came first. That was hammered into Heath's head since he could walk with both words and fists by Karen. As a guardian and half-blood bastard of his vampire father, he would never know peace. His duty as a dhampir, his duty was clear, his fate sealed. Heath was to serve Gerald, an aging Vampire Lord, one who was of pure blood, born to the race, until Heath outlived his prime and then he would pass on the knowledge that was passed to him onto a new bastard to carry protecting the bloodline. But was it necessarily his fate? Could a sterile half breed such as himself, someone who did not exist in the human world, live anywhere in the world on the light? After a particularly nasty encounter with his Mentor, Heath is on the run. Set on not becoming the new guardian and knowing that decision has now marked him for death. The hunt is on and somewhere behind him is Joshua, the heir of his Master, and the thing that plagues his nightmare, his Mentor Karen.
