Chapter 4- the Human race
Just a bit before the chapter start I will be changing the lay out of the writing to accomidate the POV of character which you can thank promicent for suggesting this will hopefully make the chapters seem cleaner. Also any view that could anger religious people I am sorry about that know what sectarianism is like but as such these view I express are mainly to add a bit of flavour to the story
Name-‘’’’ when talking aloud
‘inner thought’
Eoin Pov
Eoin awoke from his slumber thinking to him-self ‘dam ive been falling unconscious quite a lot recently’. Though this was the least of his worries as he sat up from the bed he was and looked around. He was still in the same room from last night
‘wait if this is the same room as last night does that mean that she is in this room with me’
He then saw her she was lying on the bed beside him sleeping softly. Her breathing soft and shallow making her nicely sized exposed chest sift up and down with every breath, her shoulder length emerald hair unkempt as she was moving in her sleep because she was moving Eoin was surprised that she had not used him a hugging pillow while he was sleeping.
‘right first order of business is to get the hell out of here , now I need some sort of weapon to defend myself’. Eoin thought to himself as he began to look around the room for anything that could possibly be used as weapon. His eyes cam across a small knife beside what seemed to be a pile of letters and he went over to pick it up being careful to make as little noise as possible so he would not wake the Woman that was a sleep in the bed. He picked up the knife and glanced at the letters quickly and was thankful for the written languagehere seemed to be a weird mix of Gaelic and Japanese.
With the knife in hand he quietly and quickly left the room to try and find his way out and escape the madness around as he was forcing himself to stay calm
For the most part navigating around the corridors that made up the building he was in easy but a slow task as every couple of minutes what Eoin could only assume to be a hybrid of human and animals in maid and butler outfits walked around tending to the building. He eventually made his way to what he considered to be the entrance to the build and outside the building he saw a sight that he knew perfectly was not possible in his world as out in the distance the was flying islands.
Eoin stood there for nearly ten mintues when a masculine voice called out to him
???-‘’ Well if isn’t a shitty commoner hmm just go back to the mud where you belongs you lesser being’’ Eoin turned round to see a Man slightly taller than himself by an inch or two with what seemed to be large rabbit ears sticking out of his head.
Eoin couldn’t help but start to laugh at this sight as he personally hated rabbit due to the training his grandfather put him through in the past two years. ’oh sweet black fucking Sabbath that looks too dam funny not to laugh at’.
???-‘’how dare such a lowly being laugh at me the great CAPTAIN FREDDY!!, for that you will be put to death’’ the rabbit man roared as he drew his sword and rushed at Eoin

‘shit better start to pay attention to him and his movements’ Eoin thought o himself as he switched the knife in his hands to a hold that allowed him to defend himself easier when fight in against longer bladed weapons.
Rabbitman rushed towards him and lazily swung his sword in a vertical manner as he thought the young boy would be frozen in fear but what happen he didn’t expect the young boy parried his sword towards the left with enough force to send the blade out of his hand.
‘right step one completed time to finish step 2’ Eoin said ti himself as he moved to the left ina quick slide along the ground while impaling the knife as hard as he could in the Rabbitmans foot.
Freddy-‘’agh you mother fucker ima gut you once I get my hands on you’’ he screamed at Eoin as he reached down to rip the knife out of his foot.
Eoin ran towards where the mans sword and flown towards and grabbed and gave it a quick inspection. ’dam it not even a good quality weapon just look at the rust and the pits in the blade’
The rabbit man had finally gotten the knife out of his foot and looked for Eoin around he saw him look at the blade in his hand with pity . this made the rabbit man lose all control as the blade was life he had sto-accquired it from a high end shop but he had to disguise it using a low quality illusion spell. He then proceeded to chant in a low voice the most powerful spell than he knew
Eoin caught out of he side of his eye more uniformed Hybrids coming his way but they were still a way off. ‘ id better finish off this one quickly then if I don’t want to be over whelmed’ He said to himself as he began to run towards the rabbit man. Eoin swung his newly acquired blade diagonally towards the man but the rabbit man jumped back wards further than he thought possible. Just as Eoin was about to sprint towards the rabbit man the rabbit man exclaimed in a loud voice
‘’Hell’s redemption’’
Pillars of flame began to encircle Eoin cutting off any escape route and emitting some rather high heat enough to start the clothes Eoin was wearing to start to smoke. The rabbit man was sure that he would end the misrible commoners life now as he cast another spell but nothing as fancy as his first
Rabbitman-‘’flare bolt’’ he said with a smug look on his face
Eoin knew he couldn’t avoid this for two reasons. The first being he was entrapped in a circleof fire, the second being that he was in shock that a rabbit man was suddenly able to throw a spear of fire from his hands. He closed his eyes and waited for the pain to come but it didn’t as he heard a gentle but firm voice call out
???-‘’ field of cancelation’’
At that moment the pillars of fire dissappered along with the spear of fire that was hurlting towards Eoin.he turned around to see the woman that had been in the bed when he woke up with a robe over her body.
Rabbit-man-‘’ Your highness why did you do that I was about to kill this assassin that was aiming for your life’’ he informed the woman.
???-‘’ Guards!! Contain this rabbin now’’ she ordered to the other uniformed ment hat ahd just reached where Eoin and the rabbit man where standing.

Guards-‘’ Yes Ma’am’’ the responded.
Rabbit-man-‘’ what are you doing your highness he was trying to kill you’’ he screamed at the emerald haired woman.
???-‘’hmm well that strange considering we slept in the same bed last night as betrothed should do, isn’t it guards?’’ she responded and asked the guards
Guard 1-‘’ Ma’am it is not strange that the man you have chosen to be sleeping beside you during the night’’ the first guard responded
Guard2-‘’ the only strange thing here is that this rabbin try to kill the soon to be price of the country’’. At these statements the rabbit-mans face began to lose colour as he knew he had doen something unforgivable and would be out to death.
???-‘’now my soon to be husband would you mind telling me where you were going without telling me ‘’. The woman said to Eoin with a smile on her face a look of anger in her eyes.
‘well I am truly fucked now’ was all Eoin could think at that time.
The woman walked up to him and grabbed him by the wrist just hard enough to make him drop the sword that he hadn’t realised he was still holding. She then began to drag him into the building and he did not resist has he knew doing that would only make it worse for him.
Sitra’s POV
When she awoke she could fell the tugging of he beloved a small distance from her she felt a slight pain from her chest’ I must go to him’ was ll she could think at that time. She grabbed a robe a slipped on a pair of slippers and began to walk towards where she could feel her beloved at but when she got there she couldn’t believe what was happening as a rabbin was trying to kill him.
She could tell that the rabbin was trying to use magic as she was currently one of the stronger magic user in the country but when she saw a high ranked fire spell encase her beloved and she couldn’t contain her anger as she quickly chanted the one spell that was capable of rendering magic useless . it was a spell that she had come across in the book contain the useage and applications of barrier magic in the library of her father.
Sitra-‘’Field of cancelation’’ she said with a firm voice
After that the magic was quickly cancel and the rabbin try to make up an excuse about trying to kill him but that was quickly brushed away. She approached her beloved and gripped his wrist to make him drop the blade in his hand after asking where he was going she began to drag him back to the her room
They arrived at the room and entered to find a large tray of fruit cheeses and bread on a table. Sitra went over and sat down and began to fill a plate with food. After about a mintue the young man sat down and began to do the same sitra stopped what she was doing to stare at him taking in what she knew would become the most important part of her life in the near future. His long dark red hair , the small scar than ran from his left eye to the side of his face (Authors note- the scar doesn’t go from one side of his face to the other only from the right side of his left and continuing to the left), his angular face making him seem almost elf like and his dark blue eyes that seemed to contain pain and sadness that could not be erased. The man Quickly noticed her staring and be gan to stare back at her in what she thought was a loving look but in truth he was assessing how much of a threat she could be to him.
Sitra-‘’HMM now I don’t believe we know each other names or race so I will start us off My name Is Sitra First Princess of the Delia kingdom and part of the Dragonkin race, Now would you do the pleasure of telling me your name Soon-to-be-husband?’’ she said to her betrothed.
???-‘’ My name is Eoin Watanabe , Your majesty and I am a human from a nation called Japan even though I was apparently was brought to another world’’
Sitra was surprised as human were have said to have died out over 200000 years ago but what surprised her even more was that he said he came from a different world.
Sitra-‘’ A human but they were said to have been extinct for over 200000 years?’’ she said out loud by accident while trying to process what she had heard
Eoin-‘’ extinct?’’ her betrothed exploded ‘’That means in the only one of my kind I’m alone again’’he said . Sitra could see him visibly becoming weaker.
Sitra-‘’ don’t worry Eoin im here for you after all I am you soon to be wife’’ she said trying to console him asn it seemed to work as he slowing began regaining the bstregth that he had lost from hearing about the humans
Eoin-‘’thank you, but could you please tell me more about this place please’’ he inquired.
Sitra then began to tell him how this world was split into 5 different continents each one ruled by a different race. They were the Novs continent ruled by the elves, the teryu continent ruled by the demons, the darnh continent ruled by the dragonkin, the erst continent ruled by the Fae and the wild continent which not was exactly ruled but more impossible to rule due to the over whelming strength of the creatures that lived there. she also explained how the humans had been killed off by the sheer amount of monster that lived in each continent and that most of the current races had evolved from said monster to the what they are now. She also explained that each country had a type of production that hey exceled in such at the elves superior woodworks or the fae making more powerful magical tools than any other race, the demons making solid and dependable weapons ant the dragonkins be able to creature weapons and armour out of pure elements
Soon sitra was finished tell Eoin about the history of the world tha she knew but she in formed him that most of the knowledge about the time of the humans was lost to the past and they were not many surviving records from that time.
Sitra-‘’Come I have to introduce you to my father so that we may get his consent to get married and I wont take no for an answer over this as I truly cannot bear to be away from you for long’’ she ordered him
Eoin-‘’fine I suppose it’s for the best’’.ge replied which made Sitra beam with joy.

Thief of Time
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Book 1: The Legend of Tot Synopsis: Claud Primus, a self-declared master thief, has a simple goal. To live forever. It's a rather easy task, for miraculous objects called lifestones are able to extend one's lifespan. These lifestones are best found in the treasuries of nobles, lovely resorts that Claud pays a visit to every so often. Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. The four months of the full moons will soon be followed by two months of the new moons. Duke Istrel's ascension is around the corner. Amidst this political upheaval, Count Nightfall, Licencia's strongest defender, has been called away. The Moon Lords' largest task yet — to protect Licencia in the absence of its ruler — has begun. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. Tormented by a call to fight, Claud directs his eyes out of the city, looking for the puppetmaster. Skulking in the shadows, the master thief will soon confront his greatest foe yet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. What they didn't account for, however, was the startling discovery they would soon make... And the shadow of the Red God's Holy Son behind it all. Book 8: Darkness Descends Synopsis: Nightmares haunt the horizon as Claud sinks and awakens from a seeming dream. What was once illusory begins to play out before him, in a way he cannot imagine. Dia, forced to wield arms, begins and ends a battle that opens her eyes to the vast dangers that lurk in this sundered world. Under the banner of humanity and divinity, she beholds the silent, forgotten protectors of Orb...but there is no forgetting the battle between the divinities. The Dark descends, the Moons writhe, and the horns of war blow once more. But this is not their battle. Not yet. Book 9: Moons Muster Synopsis: As more and more events fall into place, Claud finds himself desperate. Not for himself, but for the person who has turned into his world. Armed with the knowledge of a certain future, he approaches the only person that could possibly help him in his time of need, trading information for a promise of help. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer. With them as prime suspects, the Seekers of Life must move carefully...but the Coloured Gods are not the only divinities eyeing them closely. The Moons, bristling from repeated defeats, are looking for new recruits, and the Seekers of Life are prime cannon fodder. Above all, destiny marches on, the unfeeling clock a warning to all.
