《The Compassionate Killer and his travels in a new world》Chapter 4: Monster, Magic Core and Creating Weapons
Advertisement
I woke up fresher than ever I think it was the bath or maybe it was the better bed. Whatever it is, that was all made possible by learning magic. I am a genius if I am to say, creating transmutation magic simply from my scratch well maybe not from scratch but I still made it possible. In any case I will need to start travelling now huh. I haven't been able to create a spatial storage devie that I could use but I think that a backpack should do just fine for now. It's not like I have any gigantic swords or anything like that.
[...]
Now that I think about it I do need a new weapon. All I have now is my useless small knives made out of Slerion. I do love slerion I made it after all but it's just that I feel that there would be something like mithril or adamantium in this world that is more suitable for my weapon concepts. Anyway I really need to create a new weapon atleast something for my travels now.
"Graa!"
As I thought about materials to use for my weapon I heard a new sounding roar. Unlike the past beast this roar was a lot more powerful by a lot I mean it is a few kilometers away from me. I had to increase my sense to the maximum to sense it clearly and I now found good material.
I used transmutation to create a lot of small knives out of the bones and teeth of the two beast that is I killed by the lake. I could make a sword but after analyzing their composition, if made into a sword it would undoubtebly break apart easily. Well I'm sure that the next beast would make good material, but calling it a beast would be quite an understatement now that I can feel it.
I didn't take me long as it started moving towards me the same time I did and the closer I got to it the stronger the pressure became not only that I could even feel the earthshaking.
Seriously, is this really a wild beast or a monster? Those are my thoughts as I came face to face with my new foe. It was a bear... yes a bear but not an ordinary one. It is five meters tall and gigantic. It looked like an overgrown black bear but it's eyes were blood red and it was exuding a purple aura that surrounded it like armor. And I reckon that even without my the ability to sense magic the purple armor would be visible.
"This is gonna be a pain"
I let out a sigh as I thought of ways to deal with this monster. And at this point I remembered some of the light novels I read. In those novels the main character that the god has picked was transported toa nother world with the some blessing. And I did get some sort of blessing but still it would be nice if I was given something like the ability to use any form of magic or simply having a huge amount of magic power. If those were not possible he could've made it so that I was reincarnated in a town or something.
In any case this is my circumstance and I have to deal with it huh.
The monster did not stop and continued to run towards me and in response I charged towards it. I am not planning on fighting with brute force as it's as clear as day who would win that battle now is it.

As I came closer to the monster I use the same technique I used on the first beast I killed. In the split second before we bump into each other I jumped and went to it's back. I unsheathed my blade and started stabbing it. The blade... I thought it could at least cut a small wound but it broke without harming a fur on the monsters body. My plan is to go all over the monsters body and make it aim it's attacks towards itself. You could say I'm making it punch itself. But I can't annoy it with cuts then how do I make it attack?
While I was thinking the monster jumped and runed it's back on the ground. I am standing directly on it's back so I could understand what it's planning but I won't let it win that easily. I immediately shifted my body to it's stomach and kept safe there. The monsters body landed on the ground causing a small earthquake and clouds of dust to rise. The dust cloud reached up to ten meters in height blocking my vision as well as the bears. But the thing is I still have on trick up my sleeve and this will be the reason for the beast defeat.
I used my magic senses and felt the bears body. I immedietely visualized the whole stucture of the bears body. It seems the reason it is this big is due to it having a body that absorbs magic energy and stores it. It's body in other words is like a sponge for absorbing magic energy. Not only that this sponge was dropped in a mass of water what would happen then.
I then saw where it's head is and using my magic senses I leaped towards it's head as I evaded the paw attacks.
When I reached it's head I went to the top and stood on the ground. The monster didn't stand up immediately I reckon it recieved quite the damage doing that stunt but I didn't mind that and placed my two hands on it's head.
I then excited the magic in the surroundings as well as that which is inside it's body. The monster's body shook violently was rampaging but it can't let out an ounce of it's strength as it felt numb.
The monsters body went limp and died. I fell hard on the ground and breathed heavily. Soon the dust settled and I can clearly see the sorry state of the monster. It's eyes were wide open but inlike before they were white and in it's mouth is white bubbles and a burnt smell was present in the atmosphere.
"I can't believe that worked"
I said as I checked the monsters body, this is clearly the signs of a high voltage electric shock. I am consumed by joy as I stared at the monster. What I did was encorporate some scientific know how on magic energy.
If I guessed correctly magic is like a second energy in this world not a second form but a second type of energy completelely different from the energy in my world. This magic is an energy that is all around but is not easily manipulated like that which is in my world. I thought that if the energy I know of heats up when excited wouldn't that happen to magic as well.
Though the results are not as I would expect but it's still amazing after all. When exciting magic energy I did not create heat or fire but I created lightning which is also electricity. With this I think that instead of going to the molecular level and controlling the electromagnetic forces around atoms I couls simply use high density electricity. Well I would still need to use the overdrive system but with enough training I could be like the alchemist in that one anime I loved so much.

In any case I really need to start getting started to travel but first of let's see what I could get from this monster. I took out my slerion knife and started cutting open the body of the monster. I thought that what I would see is something normal like organs and burned flesh but what I saw inside almost made me puke.
I'm glad that I was an assasin in my previous life if I wasn't then this would have killed me in with disgust.
Inside was not the normal innards but instead a whole new system of organs but these organs are... I should just explain it. There was a stomach but it was green and was coated in a stinky purple liquid that lookes like the stomach acid. There was the intestines that are yelow not due to fat but it's literally yellow flesh and it gave out a different smell than the stomach. It's lungs were black and hard like coal and it's heart was disfigured it looked more like a clump of flesh than a heart but since all the major arteries were connected to it that was enough to prove it was the heart.
Not only that it's blood was purple and there were a lot of maggot like worms squirming in it's blood not only that in it's muscle tissues is a mass of elongated worms mich like tape worms that reached an incredible length. This sight disgusted me so much that I was thinking if this was really living or an undead. But it didn't have the stench of decay but instead just the stench of crap, trash and nature in it's tuest scent.
I couldn't take this long the small worms and parasites that were in it's body disgusted me so much that I was able to create fire with magic and burn the corpse.
Although it was burned to ashes the magic core was still intact and it was obviously of high quality. I thought of it like so as the difficulty at getting it is high, I don't know how strong the humans in this world are but with the fact that I didn't feel heavier or lighter I think the gravity is the same. Also the amount of oxygen in the air is the same as well, the only difference magic I don't think that would make humans stronger though.
Any way my goal is to create some weapons so I hope that small fire didn't turn even the bones to ash and well it didn't.
I took a tooth from the oversized skull and checked it's component magic and surprisingly it has the same magic no maybe even more than before. Then I put all my strength and tried cutting the tooth with my slerion knife, I stuck the tooth on a tree and slashed down on it using the slerion knife. With that the slerion knife broke into two and the tooth was in perfect shape. With that the monster already broke 2 of my slerion knives and now I took another one and tried the hardness of the bones.
In the end I lost three knives but I got a pile of perfect material that not only is harder but also capable of absorbing magic. With this I haul I head for my shelter and started alchemy. First of all I remodeled the materials to become 4 knives and 2 swords. The swords were shaped as katana's as the material is harder than steel and I tried it beforehand and decreasing the mass doesn't affect the durability at all. Then I made the handles out of the slerion steel and wrapped them in beast leather.
After 2 hours of hard work I was done in making my knew weapons the only thing I need now is gunds but I will need to find civilization first. Well I think it's eaither they use guns or swords but if they used guns then I wouldn't mind as I am used to them. Well if I am asked I would rather have them use swords with magic and the like. Also that weird being should have told me what is the state of this world technology. But it's no use getting mad now but I want to make other weapons for a while longer.
I looked at the pile of bones that still remain and made up my mind.
"Looking for a other sentient beings would take more than a day since it's after noon or maybe noon I should start tomorrow morning and instead continue making weapons huh"
I know I'm just fooling myself but I mean although in my past world I am an assasin I still love creating things. Take that slerion aloy for example, I also remember creating a rifle and handgun version of a rifle but I made sure not to keep any data on how it's made and those two guns were the first things that would get destroyed in my suicide.
I then got a geat idea and looked at the pile of bones.
"I should make some armor"
Is what I proclaimed and plan to do. The bones were strong and with some magic of alchemy I could turn this bones to armor and they would not have any signs of being made from bones. With magic I could use some nature or light elements to change the color of the bone plates to something more metallic. So I started making armors but not those like knight armors but just some light armor.
A chest plate and some armguards as well as some that covers the top of my hand. Well I just made it so that the armor covers the top of area's that I would use to block or intecept attacks as well as the places that would most likely be attacked by beast. Then with some of the left over fur I made it so that the opposite side of the armor was soft and comfortable with som cushioning.
Unlike making weapons the armor took more time as I did some self measurements and as well as the metalic design and the cushioning. In the end I finished around evening and ate some leftover meat from the past night and wen to sleep in my soft bed.
"I knew it I should bring this fur cushion with me"
I seriously can't sleep without this fur cushion from now on. Well until I got a better cushion but this is seriously comfortable and good also it is warm. With that in mind I went to sleep and kept it in my mind to turn this into a sleeping bag first thing in the morning before starting my journey. With those thought I fell deep into sleep comfortably.
